I like to believe the old ones were capable of escaping the Milky Way and now live in a peaceful galaxy with a nice, calm warp mapped onto it (no chaos) reflecting beings without terrible emotions and beliefs. Sometimes they think back to the Milky Way as like a nightmare flat they lived in as students and laugh about it.
Space, the final frontiere. These are the voyages of the super human, Emperor. His mission, to conquer all human wolds. To seek out new xenos and purge them to dust, To boldly claim to not be a god even though he is.
@@timcap22 Great. Now that I know the truth about Lorgar, and the implication that daemons exist, I'm probably going to get Servitor'd or just put to death. Thanks, Big E. Way to look out for your subjects.
Realistically about a third of the vessels that are "lost" in the warp are likely to have simply been spat out in a separate Galaxy with no way back , after all the warp can literally do anything, a random warp fart is entirely capable of escaping the galaxy, though once there there is zero likely hood that you'll be able to ride a similar warp fluctuation back
Another tough bit about using warp travel across vast, unpeopled wastes is that the warp is the stuff from the minds of intelligent beings. Is the understood structure and rules of the warp local to the Milky Way simply a reflection of the minds that fuel it? Does the warp act differently in other galaxies because it feeds on different stuff? Are the time frames and rules for warp transit the same in the open waste between galaxies? Why should it be? Slaanesh was a very local thing, if it is already one of the great powers, doesn't that seem to indicate a rather limited scope to Chaos? Does this indicate that Chaos really IS the great deceiver because the expanding universe really is governed by rules, laws, not Chaos. Perhaps, the evil of Chaos is really only a crappy middle manager.
I legit thought that the Makarian Heresy (probably spelled that wrong) had something to do with Ghazkull's luck grot called Makari. I really thought that he either tried a grot revolution or tried to overthrow Maddoc Grotsnic, the pain doc who first saved Ghaz, and then later took over when when he disappeared.
There's also the fact that The Tyranids are out there in the void and in fat greater numbers. It's also possible that one might find themself in a galaxy that is fully overrun by hive fleets.
Champions of humanity sounds super interesting. I dont play soace wolves but i am looking forward to the logan grimnar one because i dont know that much about him
Let us not forget the Idiocy of The Dark Angels to call all unforgiven chapters to hunt the fallen near the cycatrix maladictum losing a lot of chapters in the Warp during this process and almost starting a civil war with the Imperium because Gulliman found them clustered like abandoned puppys on the sidewalk But at least they got new chapters that they want to kill because they don't trust primaris
As I understand it the Warp is generated by the creatures living in the material plane. The only creatures living outside the galaxy are (so far as we know) the tyranids. Therefore the only way to travel beyond the galaxy via the warp would be to coast along the shadow in the warp, though this would only lead to whatever galaxy(ies) the Tyranids are coming from, which I presume no one would ever want to do.
Small detail, but forced labor could mean prison work camps (not that that would be much better or even just) and the Imperium takes children and turns them into Space Marines and other elite warriors, slavery would be just another awful thing that the Imperium uses to keep going.
Leon Valenzuela - that DOES sound like a great place to start for origin of your chapter! You could go heavy with terminator or deep strike capability because they are based on ships and short on atmospheric craft (forcing your chapter to rely heavily on teleportation) good luck& have fun
Because Ultima Segmentum is huge and encompasses the entire eastern galaxy, and the Maledictum is diagonal and so cuts through rather than around it. This is why, say, Ultramar is in Imperium Sanctus whilst Baal is in Nihilus despite them sharing the same Segmentum.
Wow, wow, wooooow... What do you mean the Asternomicon is "sort of powered" by the Emperor?? Is there some other god-like being out their enabling space navigation through the power of their smile??
Traveling by warp to other galaxy? Well, I dont think so. Warp is in a constant storm, yes. But Astronomicon helps to travel in the galaxy. But why is warp in such state? Coz of all the life feeding it in the galaxy. My supposition would be that the further you go away from a galaxy, the less there is life, thus less emothions to feed warp, thus warp would be progressivly calmer the further you go away from a galaxy.
Space the final frontier... Some ships with "AI" escaped Milky Way Galaxy and never returned. Some Necrons(Silent King) also traveled to other Galaxies.
Is there a source on the Silent King actually getting to another galaxy? I know he left, but did he actually get to another one or just live in the void between?
I was under the impression he exiled himself into the starless void as penance, not travel to another galaxy. But if he did, can you imagine the havoc he could wreak on a galaxy far far away?
I think you might be mixing up 40k and Mass Effect? I've never heard that rumour, though if someone can provide a source on it I'll happily be corrected.

Nah, more like they think of it as a house they rented out to shitty college aged tenants that just wrected it. Mixture of a little loss and disgust.
@@MrKago1 maybe they sent the Tyranids as an eviction notice to start anew ?

Thank you Michael I have been wanting a video that explains where the planets are and how the cicatrix malfunction split the universe
Not a problem! You're not the only person who wanted such a video, I actually did this one on request from a friend, so I'm glad you enjoyed it.

The plural of "segmentum" is "segmenta", not "segmentae" - it's a neuter noun, not a feminine noun.
