      @kwasiaking1989 Месяц назад

      Yes. Whole wheat and brown rice have a higher glycemic index than their white counterparts. If one has a taste for rice or bread, and it’s not an abused craving, you’re better off eating the white versions.

    What about lime, is it like lemon?

    • @HealUbyUs
      @HealUbyUs  10 дней назад

      In terms of their effects on kidney health, lemons are generally considered more effective than limes, because of their high citric acid content which has been shown to help against kidney stones. Overall, both are healthy choices.

    Also what about clove sticks , can them be used?

    • @HealUbyUs
      @HealUbyUs  9 дней назад

      Using cloves (including stem and buds) as a spice in food can help reduce pain and inflammation associated with kidney disease. Consuming around 1-2 cloves per day is considered safe for most healthy adults. However, if you have any pre-existing health conditions, including kidney disease, its best to consult with a doctor for a detailed guideline and recommended amounts, to make sure that it doesn't interact with your condition or any medications you might be taking.

    I had low potasium and iron and I felt like I was dying ... what causes that?

    • @HealUbyUs
      @HealUbyUs  9 дней назад +1

      An iron deficiency tends to affect the amount and shape of our red blood cells, often causing iron deficiency anaemia, severe fatigue and feelings of extreme tiredness can happen because of that. Potassium deficiency can affect the fluid balance, electrolyte levels, and nerve and muscle function, all of which can contribute to fatigue and feelings you're talking about.

      Blueberries are in fact very low in oxalates. Both blueberries and blackberries have just around 4mg of oxalates. Raspberries, however, have a high oxalate content, around 48mg per cup.

      If you have kidney stones, you should avoid sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes are high in oxalates. Remember, calcium oxalate stones are one of the most common types of kidney stones, which form due to high oxalate levels in your blood. So if you have kidney stones, avoid sweet potatoes

    What other health conditions besides weight gain are there from eating too much extra virgin olive oil?

    • @HealUbyUs
      @HealUbyUs  9 дней назад +1

      Consuming too much olive oil can potentially affect digestive health, contributing to general discomfort, nausea, vomitting, bloating, and constipation in some cases.
      Consuming too much of it on an empty stomach or taking it too frequently may trigger the body to enter the state of ketosis, which can cause mood disturbances, fatigue, light headedness, dizziness, and sometimes even headaches as side effects.
