Every Junkyard & Ebay Part on my "Mint" Honda Civic

- In today’s video, I give you a walk-around of (almost) every Junkyard and eBay part on my Honda Civic Build! This car was far from “mint” when I first got it (and still is). But I’ve made big improvements by replacing and fixing parts of the years. Enjoy!
The Junkyard and eBay have been a huge resource for my Honda Civic over the years. I get a lot of compliments on this car, but many assume the Civic has always been this clean or original. In my opinion, what makes a clean Civic is more than a good looking engine bay or wheels. It’s a combination of a lot of little things to get the car back to a “fresher” state. In my case, I enjoy the OEM+ look, so many of my parts were to replace worn/broken parts. It sounds funny when I say it, but clean Honda parts are getting harder to come by. Do it while you can!
The Junkyard is a great place for body panels, trim pieces, interiors, and the occasional OEM accessories. Most of my “cooler” parts were bought off parts cars or eBay. For things like steering wheels, lips, etc, I would recommend checking facebook or even forums that still exist. Most of these improvements don’t happen overnight, so have patience and the right parts will come along. I think some of my Civic’s biggest improvements were the interior and small exterior bits that added up. Overall, I saved a ton of money using these resources and love the look, feel, smell of the car.
I hope this video helps put things into perspective that not everything is clean to begin with and it takes time and attention to detail. Even then, it can still only look clean on the internet lol!
Some of the eBay Parts I mentioned! (eBay partner Affiliate Links)
1999-2000 Honda Civic ABS Spoiler (Unpainted): ebay.us/a6VinA
1996-2000 Coupe/Sedan Mud Guards: ebay.us/GqNxvl
Replica 99-00 EM1 Front Lip (Not OEM): ebay.us/DgPaGo
Type R 99-00 Replica Lip (What I used to have): ebay.us/bc3tCO
Thanks for watching! Авто/Мото
Thanks for this. A lot of people forget about junk yards. To me, finding useful parts in the junk yard is a way to honor the cars that have passed away (i.e. been scrapped). And you, have honored them in the best way.
Thanks man! I think so too haha
Man your civic is beyond clean, it is honestly probably the BEST civic coupe of this generation that I've seen! And makes me want one, and makes me miss my sister's old 97 EJ6 😔. Your style and execution makes me want to clean up my V6 Solara Sport Hardtop, even with my lack of aftermarket haha
Thanks man I appreciate that! I’m sure you can make it happen and clean it up. Do what you can!
If that’s the best one you’ve seen you need to get out more
@@petered756 I'm a classic car guy so jdm is not my area of expertise lol. But in person or on the internet I haven't seen much as nice as Anthony's!
ruclips.net/video/CUsnGa_Uh6Y/видео.html
This is a real original for anyone that buys mine all u can do is an engine swap no painting necessary
As a female who owns a clean lowered 00 Honda Civic which resembles Anthony’s civic only in black, it makes me sad to see civics in our year get a bad wrap. Let’s face it, most civic owners do put less than desirable parts on them but a few of us do LOVE our civics and treat them well, without putting aftermarket junk on them. I’m the only owner of my civic and I will forever be bide her side🙃😎
High Five to all the CLEAN modified Civics out there.
As a male I can't relate smh shame on us
G-g-g-girl
Literally nobody cares that you’re a girl
not really necessary to state you’re a female but ight lol
I came across your videos about two months ago and literally inspired me to get a civic, I just got one 2 weeks ago and I can’t wait to have it looking clean. Thank you! You need to upload more often!!! Lol
People don’t realize the little things that make the biggest difference. I did an obs Silverado last year and did the same thing. Replace little things and oem plus upgrades. I bought an 8th gen civic si I’m doing the same thing. Great videos man. Found you 2 weeks ago and I’m binging your videos.
Awesome to see how far she’s come. Love the attention to detail 🚀
It’s great seeing the condition of your cars. I think we have a very similar mindset when it comes to mods and being particularly about the condition of each part. Great job and keep it up! One of the cleanest Civics I’ve seen!
I cant stop looking at this civic reminds me of my friend 2000 Civic RS even though it was a four door, it came with the factory dark headlight, those would look gr8 on this car too!!!
Your videos inspired me. I've been searching around for a relatively clean civic coupe same generation to daily. This is by far my favorite looking civic
Bro i just want to say this is one of the cleanest civics I've ever seen! you are litterally living my dream!!
Always loved the 98-00 civic coupes. Was trying to find one for my first way back when but ended up with a 6th gen accord and fell in love with hondas
The junkyard helps me really get ideas looking at the different OEM body parts, trim pieces, etc even from non Honda cars too. I've fabricated or even just cut some OEM side skirts then mounted them upside down to fit my 90 ef sedan as well as some newer accord rear OEM lip piece's from the bumper to fit as well with all basic tools. A little confidence and imagination goes along way, also if you mess up don't stress it especially if it's a common junkyard piece that you got cheap
I bought a civic exactly like yours with 10k dollars rims and lots of aftermarket mods. However it was unfortunately stolen and stripped a couple years later. your video has given me motivation to slowly restore it to it’s original condition. All I can say is thank you and keep it up 🙏🏽.
Hey man this was a really helpful video. I often get discouraged with my build bc sometimes i don't even know where to start...and honestly i make it harder on myself than it should be, but it really is all in the little things. I sometimes cheaped out on the wrong things and discouraged with the result, but i learned that patience is super important. It might take a lot of time, but when you look back it's so worth it and it is a process after all!
What do you regret cheaping out on?
@@dadzwag well for starters, ebay header. It's a 2 piece and it leaks from the flange between the manifold and downpipe, no matter what. I've replaced the gasket, taken it off and on dozens of times...i was even dumb enough to buy the same one again bc it was so cheap just hoping it would be worth it that time...same result. Drives me crazy. Could've bought a skunk2 or DC sports with the amt of money i spent on it
The biggest thing is improving something to be better than what it was. Will you make mistakes and sometimes make things worse? Absolutely. But that’s cars in general lol
@@matth6284 get some jb weld steel stick and just cake it on the header
@@darrengilbert8467 you're not gon believe me, but I've done that too....twice. That shit just falls off i mean i cleaned it and let it cure and everything and it worked for like a day and then it all just started crumbling off. The gap is just too big and there was too much pressure from the gases escaping ig
Great job on your 90's Civic building and looked good! Keep it up! 😁
Very nice content man! Just what I really need for my build also... more vids about your civic, you inspire us all.
this is so insightful!
im planning on buying A honda civic 2003 and i plan to take my time with it and make it as clean as possible so seeing this information helps me out a lot thanks m8!
Man it's been a while since I came across your channel, I'm glad you still have this EK coupe that I loved and hoping to get a hand on one of this rare civics one day. much love!
Please do more vlogs with the civic!! This car makes me happy watching it
I will always have a soft spot for Honda civics. They’re just so gangster and more reliable than my STi
i love you man! your build is so inspiring. keep the civic videos coming!! ❤️🔥
Working on it! Thanks fam
@@ALLDAYANTHONY yessir!!
Those front seats look so good in there!! Now I want a set! Lol
Props to the subscriber that came up with the vid idea! 👍 I’d love to see a detail video of the civic! Keep the great content coming!
I need to do something about that engine bay for sure
Wanting an s2000 wheel so bad, the market got awful literally a year or 2 after you got it. You are a huge inspiration to me, love your content.
Keep looking! Thanks for watching man
One of my favorite Hondas on RUclips! My first car that I bought when I turned 18 was a 95’ EJ1 in rough shape, and when I found your channel you hugely inspired me to actually put the time in and restore the car completely from interior to the exterior. Brought it to OEM+ and stored it away for a year until I decided to sell it for another project which I currently have now, being an S2000 I purchased for dirt dirt cheap. Keep up the positivity and the good vibes man! Love the content and am very excited to see what’s to come in the future
That’s awesome man. Jelly of the s2000 for sure!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY Love the S2000! It’s got a good bit of mileage 160k or so I believe but I’m in the process of trying to find a healthy swap for it, and it needs paint all over but nothing time won’t fix! Hoping to get it painted next year if funds are in order :)
You said it best Anthony! When it comes to golden era Honda’s, the best places to find parts are eBay or the junkyards. Go scout junkyards every weekend, as much as you can and trust me, you’ll find things you need and then some! All for good prices. Just have to be vigilant in your searches. Love the civic and the videos dude. Looking forward to the RSX videos, I’ve owned 2 Type-S’ myself.
Goat! Inspired me hella with my own build.
I know this vid is over 1 year old but glad I came across it. The plan is to get back into the Honda game after a few years out. Like all car things should be stressful and fun lol. Very nice ride.
This makes me wanna get the EK I’ve had my eyes on for a while. Can’t wait to see more of this! Especially if you do another video for those gauges 🔥🔥
I definitely need to install one of those clusters soon!
Let’s goooooooo another All Day Anthony video!!!!!! Love the videos more than anything man.
Thanks man. Glad you came to watch!
Loved watching all your videos on this civic. Can’t wait to make my civic somewhat like yours. thanks for the idea ❤️ keep up the civic vlogs
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching
I respect clean Honda builds more than super wild Honda builds. IMO, all a Honda needs to look good are wheels, tires, lowering, and tinted windows. I don't have a Civic, but I watch your videos just because your car is clean, and you keep it clean (as in not dirty).
Man, I love these vlogs, even tho I’m local, I’ve never seen your cars. I bet it’s in good shape tho👌👌 keep these coming
I love this civic, I can't wait to see you in SharkFest this year Anthony! We need more Junk yard content
Also for Junk Yard Junkies like myself: Honda Insights have a similar design to the S2000 steering wheel
This car must be blessed 🙂
Great video 🔥!!! We need more civic content please 😃
Dude I love the content!! I found out about your channel about a month ago and it’s inspiring me to do more to my EG sedan 🤝 My car is slowly coming together. 🔥
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching
You did an amazing job bro!
Giving me some major inspiration here, I got a 98 silver sedan for $600. Clean underbody, rusty rear wheel wells. But looking at minor upgrades and running it. PS: currently 3 different car parts so far lol. New driver's door, different trunk, none of the locks match xD
you inspired me on buying a civic as my first car and now i have a 2002 em2
Love seeing all where all of the parts on your car came from Anthony! Where did you get those little covers that cover the front plate mounting holes in your front bumper?
I am in the process of collecting stuff for my EM1 and DC2. Many little things bug me about mine but I glad I’m not the only one.
Haha same. Sometimes I’m a bit too ocd about things
Probably the cleanest OEM+ looking Civic on youtube!
dc sports strut bar right on i use one too, air filter bra i highly suggest it, k tune shifter nice ! Patience nice junkyard finds Awesome !!
Such a well kept and clean looking car, looks way better than 99% of modern car design you see on the road
Thanks man. I do my best!
you have one of the cleanest civics ever 🔥
Clean from far, but far from cleanest ever lol. Thanks though!
That joint clean! I just did a 98 civic coupe on my own. I got the 2000 front end and all that from the junkyard too. My silver car was way too faded to buff out so I just said F it and had it painted White. I bought a donor integra and swapped the motor into mine though, couldn't deal with the single cam.
Howzit love your videos very inspiring you got a clean civic 🔥🔥
Just bought a 97 civic 2 door for 200 bucks and been plugging away on mechanical before I start on interior and exterior already got it on nice wheels and exhaust on it runs good just no power steering and coolant leak
Very nice
Good for a idea
Hey Anthony! I love the stuff you’re doing with these civics, definitely making me consider starting working on one. Would you be willing to try working on an integra? That would be awesome :)
oh yeah please do an integra
This was a great video!
Random question. What size hydro flask did you buy that actually fits in your cup holders? that’s impressive.
I like this car I'm glad I own a green civic coupe like this as well and I'll take care of it as much as I can
Awesome video Anthony! 😎
Thanks man!
just watched the end of your white car build and subbed, looking at your build is fascinating im about to start my second civic, first one is a bit too rusty to do anything about now but seeing this makes me want to document it all, you talked about showing how to match the mileage which I'm curious how to do myself, and you said let me know how many cars you have in the comments, I have about 6 cars on the exterior and about 10 different ones on interior/engine bay from ones not on the exterior.
I'm the original owner of a 2005 civic but never really liked that car 250,000 miles later it needs a new engine, instead I picked up a 1999 2 door civic it's even red, I have had it for about 6 weeks and I'm already in love with it ,the exterior is kinds ruff but interior is really clean ,this video just got me even more excited 😊
Let's Gooooo yess been waiting for this one for a while keep up the good work Ant!!!!💯🔰🤙
Thanks man!
Another great video!
Nice whip bro
I would love to see an engine bay cleaning on this beauty
Inspires me for my 99 ex sedan.
Great video 👌🏾🔥
clean civic in OCD level! this is pretty dang fire! I was amazed in both the white and this civic build of yours. Although you used to have the white civic for the competition with your friends and sold it, we would love to see more of you building hondas, doesn't matter if ej, ek, em, s2000 or integra. Love your vids man, keep 'em coming!
Yesss! I Love The Civic Content ❤
❤️
Keep up the good content man I own a 94 Accord automatic nothing fancy but I have to repaint it and other things
Nothing wrong with that! Good luck!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY I love old Hondas
Simple cleaaann 🔥
Painting my 99 ex coupe Milano red 🙌🏾
Am Super encouraged.!! Just bought me a 2005...And I bumped into your channel.
What a thrill...Thnx man!!
Dang I miss my 2000 Milano Red Si ..
i absolutely love the civic
You know you’re an enthusiast when your soda can is placed as Anthony has his
What mud guards would you need for the 98 hatch? Is it different from the coupe or will the same ones work?
honestly, it is the civic that I liked to see the most, and that I have seen many, but this is the one I like the most.
I think god is giving me more reasons to work 🤣🤣🤣(I have not been able to buy my first car, is that where I live it is not so cheap to buy one😢). Tomorrow with more effort, that that civic will not buy itself
I have a 1998 hatch in red and I also bought the mud guards. Ebay only sells for Sedan but it fits anyway. I have Koni yellow and SiR spring (which is soft) so I have to cut the lower parts of the front mud guard so that it won't touch the ground🤔looks great even I cut the lower part and it helps holding the plastic trim better
Haha yep people have been shaving mud guards since the early 2000’s!
i'm curious of if there is ever going to be aftermarket/ebay inner/outer weather stripping for the door cards all the ones i pick up are ripped or rotted
Probably gonna diy it lmao
i got a red 00 ex super stock other than a short shifter and si wheels, was wondering where u got the front grill? is it oem si? also did u just paint the stock skirts to match the body? thanks
Very inspiring... What is the tyre size you used?
dam thats clean
Hey bud, got a question. I may start on a 5th gen EJ coupe Civic project in the near future, and was wondering, will the factory side skirts from a 96-00 coupe or 99-00 EM1 Si side skirts fit onto a 5th gen EJ coupe Civic? I hear on some forums that they will fit perfectly. I want to do kind of like an OEM plus type of build, but still have that late 90s/early 2000s tuner car look as well. Thanks.
Great video! Do you know anything about what’s needed to do a 2000 Honda Insight gauge cluster swap? Interested in doing that with my 98 Civic
There’s actually a RUclips video on it. Not my style personally but it is different!
Fire vid 🔥 love the content
Thanks for watching dude
I'm canadian and the Si was like your base model in the us, so I would need to by a Sir if I want a b16... and they are pretty rare, I'm trying to find a clone that is already swap
I have 10k$ for a clean one, no rust at all (it's rare here with the winter) hope I can find one in this condition, nice work!
Quick question. Would the gurney flap fit an ‘01 ex wing?
Love this civic
It loves you!
I was wondering if you would know if the spoiler would fit on my 2000 Honda civic Ex 4d sedan. I want to get the spoiler but am not 100% sure if it would fit.
What corbeau’s are those? I really like them.
What kind of floor mats do you have? I have a 97 ex, looking to replace floor mats, any recommendations?
Man bro i love the red with the black wheels. What’s the size and offset of those wheels and tires?! Thanks!
I’m looking for the one right coiloivers and I got a civic ex 2002 and was just wanting to know what coiloivers u got
Where did you find those cupholders? Everywhere I go drinks are flying.
What about the side skirts what are those off of? I know the stock ones are trim black on these cars
I just bought a 1999 Civic EX myself! This video is so perfect for me. SO many ideas. The only thing it needs is body work & new paint. The interior is pretty good. Hopefully I can have it look as good as yours by the summer. By the way, where did you get the Corbeau seats from? Looks sick
Thanks man glad I could help. I ordered them directly from corbeau
hi, i have same honda as you do, and į just glue with a polyuratane glue and it holds realy good and dont need nuts or bolts
Were you able to find Honda red in rattle cans? Want to want a couple of parts on my fit that are super faded, but don’t want to pay to have it painted.
Looks clean AF no matter what even if it has imperfections. I don't think there is a car on this planet that is pure-fect. Hopefully you will get to check out my imperfect car sometime in the near future!
Hi Anthony :) ima watch this tomorrow morning just wanted to say hi lmao it’s 9:05 here I gotta wake up early tomorrow
Sounds like a plan!
I replace my 98 hood with the 99 but at the bottom of the hood I don't know where to get the weather strip do you
Clean Civic for sure 👍🏻
Thanks man
Yo I am in the works In getting some smaller rim I have 17 on my 97 Honda Civic ex 4door what size would you recommend when I get the adjustable Coil overs
