Arranged for marimba solo with percussion trio by Robert Oetomo, Harold Arlen's timeless classic "Over the Rainbow" (from "The Wizard of Oz") is performed here by Oetomo (solo marimba), and members of the Sydney Conservatorium Percussion Quartet: Niki Johnson, Jessie Wang, Nancy Zheng.

I personally like the solo better, it gives a sense of intimacy that vibes, strings, and other marimbas that sometimes take away
To this day it stills trips me up that the audio sounds like he’s recording in a cathedral but then he’s just in a plain ole recording room

Yep. All I know is that he uses gold resonators and a mahogany frame. His marimba might have enhanced keyboards with basso bravo resonators.
