GTA Chinatown wars was my childhood, I got it on my ds when I was about 9 and if hours were logged I genuinely think it would have a year worth of playtime on that baby it was my first gta game and watching that small clip hit me with how happy I’d be just sitting and playing that game for hours on end. I loved the drug-dealing mechanic in Chinatown wars. I still want to see that expanded in a full game. Starting out with next to nothing, buying cheap drugs and reselling them across town, dodging police stings and mafia setups. It was so cool and the drug trafficking stuff in GTA Online just isn't the same.
When the first GTA came out I was 15. Damn! Today, I still have each and every single one that was released on PS, PS2, PS3 & PSP. Also, all of the Brady Games Guides except for the first GTA.

My wishlist for the remasters. Fix the flying based missions, that remote plane and helo, and the chopped wing planes in GTA 3 are nightmare fuel. Get rid of the train chase mission in GTA SA. But most importantly....put hot coffee back in, in all it's mid 00s pixelated glory.

I grew up in Dundee Scotland and in the year prior to the first GTA there was an influx of Hare Krishna in the city. Going out shopping you would continuously hear them chant and sing 'gouranga'. They would hand out 'gouranga' stickers. People enjoyed their presence because they were so cheerful and kids would shout 'gouranga' at them because they would always cheerily respond in kind. Then GTA came out and if you ran over the Hare Krishna there would be a 'gouranga' message on screen. The Hare Krishna moved on after that year or so. I have often wondered if David Jones added that feature in from experiencing them in Dundee.
Vice City Stories on PS2 is, and probably always has been, my favourite. PLEASE make a video on it so it gets the recognition it deserves. It seems as if no one else played that game when we were younger. The aesthetics and music are arguably the best from all the games I've played.

I had a pretty protected childhood, so I was never able to play much GTA. But I recently finished a full playthrough of San Andreas on my phone and it was the most amazing game I’ve ever played. I absolutely loved it
I remember playing GTA on the PlayStation 1 when my cousin bought it home after renting it. I played GTA 2 and it was good, but when GTA 3 came out, I was amazed and lucky I had a PC that ran it OK. That was back when big LAN parties happened like SGL and MPU happened... Good times.
I loved vice city stories so much back then. it's really sad that it wasn't remade for phones (due to copyright issues probably?) like LCS was all the gang wars, amazing music, touching story, great characters and of course Lance. we need more of that guy also Phil Collins is in the game playing himself. absolutely amazing
I remember playing 3 and VC and always wanting more like air vehicles, bikes and activities. This is what SA gave me and I loved that game. It’s best part is the scale of the map, you get 3 unique cities with country side that has desert, mountains and forests, and I’d love to get something like that with more modern stuff. I recently played 4 for the first time, and I must say that they did go harder on realism and were definitely experimenting with stuff that would go to 5, such as the 3 parallel stories. 5 had better driving and a certain level of composure, but it lacks activities, especially social ones such as girlfriends, and the story feels somehow linear. It is a shame that moat of the investment and updates went to the Online part. They didn’t even use the prison in single player…
