Whatever you call it, as a former Louis Vuitton employee I have seen countless customers bring in fake bags of all kinds - from awful, cheap knockoffs to high quality but still very fake super replicas! In this video I discuss my firsthand experiences dealing with these clients, the different reasons why people bring in counterfeit bags, and how we handled those awkward interactions!

I remember when I went into one of their stores dressed in my garden clothes to see if they could repair the clasp on my bag. Well one look at me and the lady said sorry we don't repair bags not made by us. Next was the look. I just walked out quietly. The next day. I took my husband with me and I was dressed with some jewelry that said you could make a big sale. I went up to the same sales lady. Then I said to my husband "Love this is the very nice sales lady that informed me yesterday they don't repair bags not made by them. Could you please show her the receipt for the bag please". Her face turned red as an apple. All I did was smile. Never bought another bag made by them.

Until the Birkin comes with a strap, I’ll be *esluxscom* . I think yours is the perfect size to go from day-to-night, something the Birkin doesn’t offer; nobody is taking a Birkin to dinner
The black colour of the *esluxscom* l makes it impossible to discern any differences.
I ultimately decided to use part of the budget I would have spent on luxury bags to purchase high-quality replica bags and donate the other part to charities I care about. *condup* conveniently allows me to do this, which not only meets my own fashion needs, but also makes me feel the joy of helping others.

I've personally worked for luxury brands for almost 10years and trust me, over the years the quality significantly went down. From Ralph Lauren, to Dior, Gucci and so on. It's ridiculous how it's easy to notice. Bottom line is. Buy good fake ones. 🤣😎

The lady who demanded she be allowed to use her N*xt giftcard as payment in our store. We are not a N*xt or in any way associated with them. When we pointed this out, she argued that the store was in fact a branch of N*xt, we were all wrong. About the store we worked in....
Also the lady who phoned the foodhall I was working in, speaking to an operator and going through an automated menu before I answered. After a 4 minute monologue about how terrible the bread she'd purchased was and 'what were S*insburys going to do about it!?' I pointed out that I had no idea what their policy was, but if she came in to see me at M&*, I'd give her a free baguette as she was clearly upset. And no, she didn't come in...

I was thinking that. Some of the expensive reps that you pay around £400 for look exactly the same . You would have to be an expert to tell the difference. They are certainly not atrocious looking. I would carry one if i was into these things. Not everyone has money to drop like that.

So true I have several LV that I purchased before my oldest was born and he's now 26 and believe me I don't take care of my bags I put them on the floor and what not, the only thing I'm careful with is water stain. Those bags are way better than the newer ones, newer tear so easily, and fade.

When I was 12 my mom took me to the LV on Bloor Street in Toronto. I had my fake LV on my arm and thought I was cute. The sweet sales ladies let me try on a bag and a pair of heels knowing we were not wealthy and couldn't afford to purchase anything. It as really nice. No one seemed to care I had a fake bag and I felt special. They even gave me a paper shopping bag which I used as a lunch bag for weeks after! :) Who cares if people don't have real ones? I'm 30 now and ironically, although I can afford them I still prefer real people with fake bags than fake people with real bags. Just saying :) (not that everyone who carries a real one is bad or vice versa.) Just means I don't care if people carry fakes.

I think people fail to remember what the definition of luxury is and that no one is making anyone buy luxury purses. It’s luxury for a reason if you can afford it great, if you can’t great. It’s not a requirement to own one. People are so pressed in these comments. I enjoyed this and you’re very articulate. 💜

I went to a lv store here in Vegas wearing an old shirt old pants and a slides , just strolling at the strip on a weekend this sales lady like look at me from head to foot like I don’t have $$$ to buy. I was humiliated so I left found a nice purse at Prada that I’m not really into but the saleslady treated me like I’m somebody, so I bought it and went back to lv store with all my purchases from Prada, Dior and balenciaga! A lot of times people buy bags not knowing they are fakes it’s so sad. I hate seeing people get scammed and paying real Lv prices to get fake bags in return.

That is my concern and I wouldn't want a snotty, arrogant sales person putting me down when I thought my bag was real. If my LV is fake I will dispute the charge with my credit card company.
The difference in price between the *esluxs* and the real Dior will be tremendous.
The reality is that large designer brands such as Gucci, Hermes, LV, etc. are becoming outdated as consumer demand has shifted from wanting to appear "wealthy" to wanting to show their "intelligence". 10 years ago if you bought a *esluxs* you were "cheap" and "fake", now you're "smart" and "cost-conscious" because customers have realised their's no need to pay 10x more for the same quality bag.
I don't agree that all employees can "tell" if a bag is counterfeit or not. I have had some store representatives try and say one of my bags was fake even though i bought it from that EXACT boutique less than a year ago 😄 sometimes they just want to feel like they "caught" someone with a fake. Also sometimes they think just because your not wearing all your brand name jewelry or clothes then you cant afford to even be in the store lol. Anyway, that girl had her butt handed to her from the store manager hopefully she learned her lesson.
If you can't afford a designer bag and feel some type of way about expensive designer shit then DON'T FUCKING WATCH THE VIDEO. Like do ya'll even read the tittle of the videos before clicking on it? It clearly says in the tittle the video will be about designer bags. I find these types of videos very helpful even though I can't afford any of these bags yet, but I know one day I will. And I want to know which designer bag will be really worth my hard earn money and I will get the most use of. It is really not worth to beg a luxury store to spend our money at! I’ve been there and no way I’m doing that again just for a BAG! *esluxs* are so easily accessible now compare to years before. Sometimes consumers have the money to spend on a bag but a lot of us start to realised it’s not worth dropping so much on these bags anymore when they keep increasing their prices but not the quality. It doesn’t make sense like you said! I agree with everything you said because I will buy super replicas for all of that reasons. At the end of the day, we only have ourselves to justify to, don’t care what others say Great video!

When the pound or the euro is weak, he buys for himself--and his coworkers--and there's no tax. He has an established relationship with sales associates in London and Paris and Dubai--all frequent destinations. Sometimes, the savings is equivalent to 25% percent off.

Try traveling to Tokyo Japan they sell Original lux brands for less like LV , Channel , Gucci ,Coach ,YSL etc for less its still more pricey than the fakes and still in good condition i just dont know how the costoms works in the USA if they will still tax you 2nd hand lux items but sure either buy the brand new *esluxs* you want or travel half the world away to buy 2nd hand lux items for few days that also includes your plane ticket hotel accomodations for how many days food and goodie stuffs for families and friends and other expencess but they said " original LV Bag from Japan for less " or just travel to Bangkok thailand and visit the Platinum Mall buy as many replica bags all you want w/o the hassel

I bought a bag from an eBay seller for a really good price but the zipper was broken. Being that the price was so good, I was skeptical that the bag was real. I took it to the LV store in ATL to see if it was real and if the zipper could be repaired. The SA told me he couldn’t tell, but would send it off to have the zipper repaired and if it was in fact a real bag, they will repair the zipper and wouldn’t of it were a fake. About 3 weeks later they called me to pick it up, as they fixed the zipper. So from that I took it as the bag was real, and just needed a repair. 😀
The same thing happened to me. I was nervous because I too brought it from overseas. So far LV have fixed 2 rivets and my pull tag. And I am registered in their system!

The fakes are so similar to the real ones its scary, I have seen some Grade A bags where I honesty couldn't tell the difference.

The real things look as tacky as the fakes- I’m sorry >.< unfortunately the fake market has completely ruined this brand. Sometimes the very simple looking bags can look elegant but logos and motifs are way way out and make you look cheap. But nothing beats the quality of designer for me though. The feel of real leather, stitching that is in itself art.. ❤️ love!

I pay a lot for the reps so they are high quality. I have only tried 2 sellers and I will stick with them so I know what I get. I live in Norway and we do have a gorgeous Louis Vuitton shop in Oslo - love going there!

I concur. I had a Sarah Damier and the binding started cracking. It was always in a purse, so no idea how. I was so disappointed being 25 and saved up enough to treat myself to a nice 25th bday gift. Turns out my self gift didn’t hold up 😩

Can you blame someone for wanting to authenticate? Many people unfortunately get gifts and think they are real if they have never had any designer. I love these videos to educate myself but I definitely feel like the responses from the employees are really judge-y.
But what incentive do employees have to authenticate? No luxury brand wants customers to buy second hand when they can buy in store. And they certainly don’t want employees spending time authenticating bags that may not have originated from LV itself. That time is better spent selling. If you buy second hand, you can use a reputable authenticator.
Got my wife a neverfull quite a while ago fully authentic from the boutique downtown Toronto. I was shocked to see when the side straps just broke!!! So what you can get a dupe for 1/12th of the price…….I kinda get why people buy the dupes. esp when that boutique wanted a ridiculous amount to repair the only “leather” parts on the bag. 🙄 sooooo I think they need to rethink their customer service and support to justify the prices for coated canvas products. not bashing just sharing my experience. It seems like the *esluxs* one looks better than the real one though. Who cares? Nobody is gonna spot it when you wear it in a nightclub or a night out. People are busy with their own lives. And people just don't bother you wearing a real or fake one. Just saying.

This is nothing compared to Shanghai, China. I saw some “super fake” Chanel and Gucci that took my breath away. They looked and felt like the real thing. These bags were never displaced out in the open, but tucked away in a secure place. The sales person would always asked if you wanted to see a higher quality designer *esluxs* than the ones they displaced out in the open. If you said yes, the sales person stepped away and brought you a designer bag that looked authentic.
We all know there are some amazing replicas that even those even working there can’t tell. Korea has some of the best. Ps. I spent over $2000 on a monogram zip around oval suitcase years ago. the stitching came loose by the handle and after one time. They fixed it and made it worse. I called corporate and they gave me a brand new one. Talk about quality really. LV isn’t the best.

China is raking in the money bags for counterfeits. My grandmother had always shopped at department stores and bought us (her grandchildren) designer sunnies, wallets and bags for our birthdays each year. I have Chanel, LV, YSL, Gucci, Fendi and Versace purses, glasses, makeup, jewelry, perfume and a couple of bags/wallets plus one pair of slippers, a robe and one piece of luggage from my grandmother and grandfather. I’m not a wealthy person, I’m middle class and work very hard but my family is wealthy and they all come from money. One thing that I found crazy is some of the counterfeit coming out of China is extremely high quality, color, weight, size, durability etc. down to the dust bag, tissue paper, card and box it’s ridiculous how meticulous it’s become, my best friend compared her “dupes” or fakes to one of my purses and I gotta say I couldn’t tell the difference for the life of me. I was thinking my grandmother spent so much $$$ on this bday gift for me and all of this has so much value I could make a fortune but how come my friend paid so little and could possibly get away with reselling for the same value?!? Like how?! I know some are noticeable but I’m telling you that’s not the case today some replicas are completely the same it’s scary. I know with Hermès you need a black or blue light and if you run it over their box you can see their symbol, is this the case for most designer brands? It may have to be. I know serial numbers are what helps authenticate but again, the counterfeit productions in other countries know what they are doing and the consumers are widespread, nothing seems to be authentic anymore.
I have seen many woman with fake bags, along with fake Rolexes. If that is all she can afford, that’s fine with me, they are happy that is all that counts in this day and era.

My sister was onced gifted a convincing looking leather designer bag that quickly became damaged. She took it into the brand's store to request service & she was embarrassed, disappointed & sad when they advised her that her bag was not authentic. Thankfully they did break it to her respectfully.

Thanks for the video. I will say that fakes have been around for yeaaarrrrssss. I think it’s just brought to light now because of social media. I’ve seen LV and Chanel fakes and know how to get them if I wanted (Asian community) since like the 1990s. So it’s nothing new at all. If it seems a lot maybe people are just more aware with educational videos on authentic vs fake versus before. I wouldn’t let fakes and replicas change my mind on purchasing a bag or not. If I like it, I will buy it. And the fakes are never the same as the real ones. If people can’t afford it and are happy with *esluxs* to each their own. My favorite bag is the classic flap. Next is the Kelly, then birkin. I know many Filipino aunties that have replicas to all. And it doesn’t change my mind on them. I have a couple of fake lv bags. But I never say my bag are real lv bags. And if someone comments on my lv fake bags I will tell them it is fake not real. I never pass my fake bags as the real deal. I also have taken my fake bag to a shoe and handbag repair shop to have them restrap my handles and which they did and I was happy with.

I was told that they can't authenticate anything even if they ask that you're not allowed to do that and that lady rocking the fake crock denim might have thought she had a real Louis Vuitton and didn't question its authenticity and she was just proud.
Last year I tried to tell a friend of mines daughter her multi pouchette accessories was a fake. I know because mine is real and the differences were obvious. She insisted it was real. It had been gifted to her and that person wouldn’t do that to her. He reaction was not what I expected. I was trying to help her out. Oh well if she takes it for repair ever......🤔

Watching this video because unfortunately I am one of those that have a fake and didn’t know it. My husband brought me an Artsy for my birthday last year, spent well over $1000 on it which we still have the receipt. The middle of the handle broke within the first month, and eventually snapped completely off a few weeks ago. So i did some digging and found out it indeed is fake. Which is heart wrenching because we paid real authentic price for it. I’m not sure where he got the bag from but i know the town we lived in at the time does not have an LV store or any department store that would carry it. I was going to take it to the LV store where i live now to get repaired which I’m glad i didn’t, save me the embarrassment of having to be turned away. Now that i compare the fake vs a real i can see ahuge difference in the handle and mine also has no date code label or heat stamp. Smh. Thanks for this video

There will be so many false fake bag accusations which will happen because even original designer brands use fake and cheap leathers.
Example if you notice that the leather has prints on it, and the texture is perfect, it is actually a "genuine leather" or the cheapest kind, below top grain.
So i bet there are customers with genuine bags but will be seen as fake by mistake
I saw many fake LV and gucci bags are much better than original ones. I could even make one, using bison full grain leather. I could mold golds and will use it as the hardware instead of brass materials. I think you get my point
Also for the stitching, if you wont see the end of stitch, it id machine stitched, the cheap kind. Hand stitching is the best, and there should be the end curly thing which you will see in the end of stitching as a sign it is handmade
Few people with original designer brand purses and bags even approach me to ask if their original bags are really "real" luxury leather. So i got water, poured a drop of water on the bags. If the water is not absorbed, yeah the designer brand company used fake leathers.. because it should stain
So yeah, it doesn't mean it is "original" means the materials used are real. Many are fake
And i dont buy designer brand products, like what you gave an example, the bag with alligator skin, it is just worth around $2000 less especially the alligator used is sooo tiny. Only can be found in the handles and borders of the bag

I didn't know enough about LV luggage tags at the time to have recognized the differences but now I'm much more careful when buying preloved. Fortunately, TRR refunded me. I remember years ago when I couldn't afford any of these bags, then slowly advanced in my career and bought my first Valentino bag. I didn't feel anything special, except for a strange feeling of being ripped-off. LOL. I had some better-quality beautiful leather bags by local designers which had cost me a fraction of the VLTN bag.... But at the time all of my friends had such bags, we were only talking about shallow stuff and this was my reality...
I am so, so happy that this is all in the past and today I am hustling, investing my money in real estate and really not caring about designer stuff anymore. My current friends have shown me that genuinely intelligent and ambitious people don't need this stuff. And after seeing this video and the attitude these people have towards others, I am even more convinced I am on the right track. 💯

I had a totally different experience than you when I bought my first LV bag, my first designer bag ever. I actually felt greatful for being able to afford such a beautiful bag. But if it doesnt fufill you absolutly don't buy.

I would rather buy a $30 bag from Target if I think it's cute rather than have something fake just because it says Louis Vuitton or Gucci like, who cares. You should know that plenty of non-broke folks buy fakes. Go to Turkey and North cyprus where many of the originals are made and these are the very place where you find the largest knock-off markets. Also every European in the airports wore those fakes - wallets full of $$$ and all.

In my town, even if you have a real, everyone thinks it’s fake, so save your money. Plus LV has really taken a nose dive in quality
First time I see this channel. I have to say, in my experience LV has the best customer service. I once took a bag for repairs. I had bought it pre-loved and the lining was sticky. I was reasonably confident it was authentic, but you can never be too sure. Besides I didn’t know if they were going to request proof of purchase or question the origin of the bag. They didn’t ask me for receipt or where and when I had bought it. They saw the bag, recognized it as their own and took it in no questions asked. They quoted me the price of the repairs, which I found very reasonable and treated me with the utmost courtesy. About a month later they called me in that my bag was ready for pick up. It came back with a new lining and piping, looking almost like new. When I tried to have Chanel service one of their bags, they refused. Not because it was fake, they simply said they didn’t provide that service. And all I wanted was a little color retouch, because the bag was in good condition otherwise. Same with Saint Laurent. In their case they didn’t even see the bag, because I emailed them. The first thing they asked me for was proof of purchase, in one of their oficial retailers. When I said I had bought it preloved they didn’t even want to help me 🤷♀️ For this, LV is my favorite

I just stumbled on this channel. Never in my history of reading YT comments have I encountered a thread containing more insults, petty bickering, ignorant elitist and ghetto attitudes. I love it. I could be a black man at a KKK rally or Donald Trump at at a BLM rally and combined I would recieve less hate then I see in these comments. Lmao. I truly hope that when tomorrow comes if you can't find someone to insult that at least it is a cloudy day so you can get some fresh air and yell at the clouds. This channel is great, I subscribed!

A big population of people in this world do not have the money to spend on a authentic designer bags, so it’s not nice to be made fun of. Lady just because you work for the company Louis Vuitton, you shouldn’t act like you are better you can tell you’re very high maintenance. Me personally I don’t care for any designer bags they’re extremely extremely over priced, overrated and they’re ugly.

I used to work as customer service dispute specialist for an international online selling platform. And we were trained to ask for certificate of authenticity if the amount of the item is above $1K. If they can't produce a certificate, then we cannot refund their money from the seller. That's what happens to those buying 2nd hand bags online. Now you know why people would come and ask if what they have is authentic or not. I kid you not. They are pitiful and just victims.
My experience thus far in LV stores depending on which one I go to has been horrible. It’s just something about going to certain stores and the employees sizing you up and being completely rude. I can see being rude/direct towards customers who act “Karenish” but makes absolutely no sense to act like this with regular customers. This experience happened a few weeks ago so maybe I’m in my feelings. But I was able to find what I was looking for at a better location in Dallas/Northpark Mall. 💜

, lol, so don’t mind the people who work there when you go inside, they just act like they are getting more than we are, don’t get intimidated

That’s unfortunate. I’m a LV girl and honestly have never had a bad experience and it’s not like I go to the same store to buy...I usually buy when I’m on a trip.
A Heated Mess yes I have a friend who shops regularly and she hooked me up with her SA and I had the item plus some more in a few days. The Northpark location in Dallas will forever get my business. They were just down to earth. Ordered what I needed and made the experience simple and regular if that makes sense.

one time, I brought my Limited edition wallet that my brother bought for me to Louis Vuitton store to fix the keylock. the young SA looked over my wallet and said I never seen this collection before. she shouted out really loud in the store. " this is not LV wallet". she denied the repair services. so I was so mad 😠 how she kind of embarrassed me in the store. I showed her my receipt of wallet and demanded to speak with manager.

Unfortunately many newer LV employees aren’t familiar with older styles - she should have checked with a manager or more experienced colleague before making a false declaration and rejecting a repair of an authentic but older item!
