Editor's Note: My edits were all made to keep the video on one, central topic by editing together relevant commentary from many parts of Hasan's streams to create a storyline that is still followable by the viewer. I also edited in commentary of my own in places, in addition to relevant external information that improves the viewing experience. A lot of edits were made for comedy purposes, or to enhance the comedic timing of certain beats, but never to misrepresent Hasan's point of view.

The way they're all constantly changing their mind as soon as one of the other people gives the most basic obvious counter to their beliefs (especially when the black girl gives them her perspective) just shows how little they've thought about anything and how narrowminded their views still are, which makes sense since their teenagers after all.

This video deeply impacted me as someone from a third-world country. It made me realize the extent of privilege that some people have without even realizing it, and it saddened me. Despite my relentless efforts to study in my desired field and live in a first-world country, I faced multiple visa rejections. Even after managing to reach a first-world country, finding employment was exceptionally difficult due to biases associated with my name. Nonetheless, I acknowledge that I still possess more privilege compared to my friends back home, who hold master's degrees but struggle to secure jobs.... Anyways these teenage "millionaires" suck lol

Brother that sucks. But I'm glad that you're still here to tell us about it. I hope the shitty experiences you had made you a stronger and wiser person so you can help others and yourself to get ahead in the world.
If it helps, not everyone privalidged ends up like this. I was a privileged kid until I moved to a third world country, it hit me like a truck.
It took years but I had some life changing experiences along the way and now, at 35, with a law degree from one of the best unis in the world, and a job as a GM of a country manor, this time next week ill be homeless and sleeping in the back of my car at works carpark for a month. That's despite having a decent average paid job. I have barely any family I can talk to about it and all my friends moved away years ago...
Sometimes life is a nightmare, but if we all crack on together I'm sure we will all build a better world. Not for my kids, I could never afford to have any, but for other people and thier kids. Keep the faith mate. Don't let the bustards grind you down.

The idea that they only managed this because of their hard work is ludicrous. Their neighbors from the romanian suburb weren't lazier. They weren't dumber. Hard work is the prerequisite, not the key factor, which is luck. My mom was lucky to love studying, my dad was lucky to not get involved in the wrong friend group. They had lucky genetics.

First I had jobs that pay more than my break even amount. Second my cost were less than my income(s) for years at a time. Third I had no serious issues with cost and have continued to be fortunate in 100's of different ways I am likely not aware of. So point being luck, math, and conditions all factored in my favor at the same time!!! The stuff I can control myself make only at most a 6% difference in my outcome on any given year!!! You know I can almost understand why life would become incredibly isolating and lonely for a teen millionaire. That lambo kid is super cringe but i almost can see that his life seems really sad. Like, all your friends are going to university, discovering themselves, making new friends, going to parties and doing all the thing normal people do as they work their way up in life. But he’s just doing nothing. He’s got nothing going on because he already “won”. He got money. Most people don’t really enter this stage of life until their 30s or 40s. I don’t really feel bad for him because its not a hard thing to solve but damn.

Im not third world, but im low working class in Europe, went to school with, and witnessed this kind of privilege first hand (albeit on a smaller scale) it was infuriating and disheartening.
I went to school with kids who would pour soda into their MacBook when they wanted a new one from their parents. I barely had the money for a low end laptop, that had to last 7 years. And when we turned 18, and they got their drivers licenses and first cars paid for by parents, they were completely unable to fathom that my parents didn't have money to give me either, and when i tried explaining that, the answer was usually, "yearh, but you just have to beg your parents some more, they have to give in at some point."
I could not climb the economic or social ladder without those tools, and the fact that the money to buy those just DID NOT EXIST in my life, was utterly lost on them. They just could not understand someone having less than they did.

I relate hard on this too… I realised so young, too young at around the age of like 7 or 8 that if I didn’t put in the work I will never be able to climb out of poverty. It was a crazy realisation I didn’t realise I was so poorer than the other kids till around that age and when I did I was like wow … ppl eat that much, ppl go abroad for holidays, ppl get new shoes not just of their birthdays or Christmas
before if I couldn’t afford something and my friends would say just ask your mum I would be like lol I can’t do that. And I thought they knew what I meant but turned out that they thought I didn’t want to be annoying lol…. ….. like some of the kids didn’t know your electric can be turned off or run out. I wasn’t allowed to eat at other ppls houses…. And now I know it’s because my mum with four kids didn’t want to have to return the favour because she couldn’t afford to feed other kids too.
What made me sad is that I assumed that with ppls proximity they would be aware but that’s not true, and I found the same if more wealthy ppl that I made friends with in school in that they found it weird my parents didn’t golf or hold garden parties or parties at all. They found it weird that I didn’t know that they hire someone to do their ironing like…. I thought shit was in the fifties I didn’t know ppl still did that but they do.
But it hurts my heart to this day that when I talk with my friends about getting beaten, witnessing violence, witness poverty, still actively experiencing it albeit not as harshly and they respond with I know exactly how you feel and give an small story how they had been smacked on the bum once. Because no they don’t. Because they feel fine when they spend 600 on a hobby item and I have never purchased anything that expensive except by car insurance. Because they don’t feel guilty when they buy a takeaway only enough for themselves, they don’t have the anxiety or understand that I don’t have anyone I can ask for financial help if I don’t have enough . But yeah no matter it’s that feeling of everything’s gonna be fine that as someone growing up poor you can never fully feel that makes the biggest difference I think

    • @KnittedSister
      @KnittedSister Год назад +1

@@lauryn2868 when it comes down to it, its a question of having or not having safety nets to catch you. Whether that is emotional or financial support when things get tough. Someone who hasn't lived their lives on the edge of a cliff without any safety nets to catch them, is never going to understand what it feels like when the ground starts to crumble beneath your feet. They might have experienced discomfort in their lives, and they think that is what you are talking about. But they have no idea that you live your life on that cliff, because they live miles inland and have never even seen it. They don't know the actual fear and dread of not knowing if things are going to work out. And even if you work hard, or get lucky, or both and move a bit farther away from it, the cliff is still there, and stuff can happen any moment, that will send you over the edge and into a free fall.
My analogy might be a bit messy, but i think you get the point.
If people know, they know. And if they don't, they can never understand.
The best kind of people you can have in your life is the ones that go "i don't know what it feels like to be you right now, but i know its not good, and i am here for you and want to help". If you find people like that, hold on to them. ❤️

I probably knew 6 black people at most and the majority were adopted into wealthy white families (I mean multiple mansions, Tesla driving wealthy). it was REALLY a shock to me as before that I attended middle school at a school that was in a lower income area and I had tons of POC classmates and met a lot of people from different socioeconomic backgrounds. honestly that was incredibly formative for me and I missed that kind of diversity in high school. honestly if I hadn’t gone to a school where I was exposed to different kinds of people I probably would be a worse person today.
