james' brother (ian) has gotten done so fucking dirty in all of this. i remember back in the beautytuber golden age, he would bring ian on to do his makeup and the vibes were just so atrocious. james would sexualize him and harass him to the point that ian was almost always VISIBLY uncomfortable when he appeared. people noticed even at the time. and, ironically, a lot of james' jabs and harassment centered around the fact that ian is straight. it backs up tati's claim that james would try to "turn" straight men as he has this documented record of being so dismissive of his OWN BROTHER'S sexuality. i had no idea they weren't speaking anymore. that is a HUGE indictment

I was just going to comment on this! I was a fan of James and Ian back then and I recall Ian suddenly and allegedly moving back home due to something that happened. I can't recall the details and many details weren't even released, likely cuz Ian was underaged at the time but it was super weird. It had something to do with Nikita and partying if I remember right. That's also probably why they haven't talked.
I remember watching those videos! He did like mini series that was a spoof of a trixie Mattel show I think (from my memory) and their sibling chemistry was so bad. Ian looked so uncomfortable. Good on him for cutting James out of his life. I dont even know why James admitted that his brother doesn’t even talk to him anymore.

you know i don't know why he even sent those messages on social media apps and not dating apps. if it turned out they were lying about their ages on a dating app I'd be way more sympathetic because those apps have a at least 18+ rule. it wouldn't be his fault itd be the app's. social media apps do not have that 18+ age requirement and most people who use them are teenagers so why even risk it if you're over 18... he has access to people around his age on those dating apps. most of them have a dating age range option. this problem was SO avoidable!
If I recall, there were also minors on dating apps they shouldn’t have been on or something like that at one point. Plus the apps apparently kept deleting his accounts because they thought someone was impersonating him. I think he should’ve kept trying to figure that out, but apparently that’s why he wasn’t just doing that.
This sounds like I’m defending him so I want to explicitly state that I’m not. He shouldn’t have been trying to date via social media yet alone date his fans. Plus he continued after stating he’d learned better.

One thing that always gets me about James Charles is that we went to the same high school!!! The town we're from isn't all that small. It may technically be a "small town" by population size, but my graduating class was over 400 people... It's also a fucking rich white suburb of the capital of NY State, not at all the small town he's trying to make it seem like. And he wasn't the only gay person in our school. Idk why instead of being cancelled, James isn't reported to the officials and be recognized officially as a sex offender and be registered as one. If ANYONE did the same shit they did, they would be registered so fast. They and Colleen need to be held accountable to the full extent of the law for their actions. Long story short, he's sent sexual messages and images to minors and when he was called out for it his excuse was "I made a mistake" and "I was desperate". One of the alleged victims was 14 years old at the time.
