Thank you so much for that compliment! I told myself I’d always have an honest opinion and channel, and sometimes I’m a bit worried to critique certain companies, because I know they’re watching. But it’s not fair to my viewers if I don’t state my honest opinions. And just because I feel a certain way, doesn’t mean it has to match up with everyone else. That’s what makes this art fun: we all have our own way of doing things and we learn from each other that way. Thank you again! That really means a lot to me. So glad you subscribed and look forward to sharing more with you
ALL of them come with ONLY special drills. Thats the whole reason I bought it to begin with. I really hated opening all those bags though. I saw DAC ask the community if they’d prefer them together or separate and was surprised (and disappointed) to see most wanted them left separate so they could do one at a time. I’d never do mine that way. But everyone’s different I guess 🤷♀️
@@DiamondsandDemise I only do one at a time too, but I don’t want to kit up each time. To each their own, right? It seems like a lot of people do it your way though too. Thanks for watching
I would have done it different and only opened up one set of drills and worked on that pic. Then when I got ready to work on the second image, I would continue with the drills I already kitted up and then added any new color to the mix while filling up the existing container if I ran out of that particular color. Especially since you have so many left, this would have left you with unopened bags probably and a faster kitting up process
That’s a way I wouldn’t have thought to work with it, and I’m very glad it works for you, but I don’t think that system would work well for me. But maybe that’s why they did it that way? Then people who like to do it your way can, and people who like to do it my way just need to put in more work. I don’t like working out of those baggies and I also don’t like keeping the sealed baggies. When I’m done, I put all my spare drills into nice baggies and have a whole spare storage system. And I wouldn’t want loose, sealed drill bags in there. But that’s just me. You and others may prefer that method. I think that’s what makes this art so great: it’s versatile and what works for me may not work for you and visa versa. So we can all take ideas from each other and use what works for us, and leave what doesn’t. I’m very glad you shared this with me as it helped to provide some insight as to why they may have separated the drills like that. Thanks for letting me know how you work your drills. I can definitely see the benefits to doing so.
I would like to try the Paint Gems eventually but I don’t think I’d try the DAC mini kits bc of the major drawback of 95 baggies of drills. Maybe they’ll change this. I appreciate you doing this comparison video bc it was very helpful.
Thank you. I’m so glad you enjoyed the comparison. I found the differences to be really interesting and am glad you found it helpful as well. The DAC kits were fun to do, but 95 baggies… 🤷♀️
I have ordered one from diamond art club. As I am in Germany I could only order the make up one. But am curious as it’s my first diamond art club dm, I ordered a canvas picture as well.
Your first DAC? That’s huge with you living overseas. I hope you are impressed with the canvas. The mini dazzle was fun, but you saw my comparison. I prefer full canvases but completing a small piece can be fun too. Thanks for watching!
The fact that there are 95 bags going into the landfill versus 24 is insane and will make me think twice about ordering these. I admit the fact that it’s all fairy dust drills intrigues me but the individual bags with no way of knowing where to use them is nuts. Deal breaker. Great video. Thank you for your honesty. I think the pen is a dud. And it’s not a new concept. Picking pens have been around a long time.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I’m glad you appreciate my honesty. I always told myself I would be completely honest on my channel, so I’m glad you appreciate that, and I know it won’t always go over well with everyone but… 🤷♀️ There seem to be pros and cons to everything. And what works for one person may not work for another Thanks again
@@Rubies_And_Moonstones I am honest in my comments and I trigger a lot of people. (If you only knew what I don’t say! 🤣🤣) Seriously your honesty is refreshing. There’s a lot of oohing and aahinh and gushing all over diamond paintings out there. Sometimes you don’t need glasses to see right through it. Sometimes it is genuine but often it’s because the person oohing and aaahing is an affiliate. I get that, but I don’t have to like it. Your channel is a breath of fresh air 👏👏
@@DiamondsandDobermans oh thank you so much! That means the world to me. I don’t think I’ll ever be honored with certain affiliates, but that’s okay. So far the ones I have are happy with my honesty and I’ve enjoyed working with them.
I meant to include that and forgot. DAC’s is $17.99 for 6 so about $2.99 each, and Paint Gems is $39.90 for 16 (at least the Rainbow Edition) which is about $2.49 each So also seems more time Diamond Painting and less money (so “more bang for your buck”) with Paint Gem, but just no special drills. Lots of pros and cons to each
Thanks for the honest review! Refreshing to find someone willing to list the cons as well as the pros. I subscribed because of it!

I like the fact one came with all special drills...that almost makes it worth it just in and of itself, but the number of bags 😵💫😵💫😵💫

I actually prefer the diamonds separated because I only work on one mini dazzle at a time so kitting up one as I go works well for me.
