I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I too find it hard to believe that 25 years has passed since then. It was a great time to be at Disney! Thank you so much for watching!!!
@goldenstate5, Thank you so much!!! I did pick up just a little bit of graininess converting it over from VHS, but I’m pretty happy with the outcome (considering it’s 23 years old). That version of Journey will always be my favorite! Thank you for watching!!!
This vid should be required viewing for everyone who has heard the Internet myth that Epcot was boring and had to be changed. Updated to stay futuristic? Yes. Completely changed in scope and purpose? No.
Copied from my comment on another users' vids of WdW 1990s..... omg the nostalgia-feels hits close to home! We went every year in Oct from 1989 till 2017. Some of my absolute favorite family moments, and memories came from those trips. Shame we've lost 3 of those people we went with, and four more are not fairing well. This makes me want to dig up my old VHS-C and Super 8 tapes and get them digitally transferred and uploaded. Thank you for this!
Me too!!!! So many cool things to see back then; the old SSE finale, Journey into Imagination, the Wonders of Life pavilion, all classic!!! I'm only sad that I didn't film Horizons. Thank you so much for watching!!!
I haven't been since 1997 is space ship earth still the same? I loved how you could smell the fake camp fire. I spent more time in there, and the Norway ride than anywhere else.
Spaceship Earth has changed a little bit since 1997 but many of the original scenes that we all love haven't changed. It's still my favorite ride at EPCOT! Thank you so much for watching!!!
Went in 1997 with my family (parents took in foster kids) and my sister, Jodi, who was in a wheel chair got to do the “make a wish” thing and they gave the entire family tickets to every theme park for Disney, every theme park that wasn’t Disney like Busch gardens etc… we also got to stay at some resort (I don’t think it was the “give the kids the world” resort, this was in the late 90s and I’m not sure that resort was there… It was a really cool trip considering, we did hit all the Disney parks and we also made it to universal… unfortunately we ran out of time LONG before we were able to do everything… still though… great trip that was all paid for by make a wish which is why they’re one of the few places I have no issue donating too.
Spaceship Earth with Jeremy Irons, but Judy Dench’s rein could be over. I noticed that World Showcase had a lot of room. So many permanent food booths now. R.I.P. Maelstrom.
Kevin Keleher, I always loved the Jeremy Irons version of SSE the best! Especially the part when you were returning back. All the fiber effects were so cool!!!
Man this took me back..I can't believethis was 25 years ago already. . so many memories. I just wish my mom was still around so I could show her..
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I too find it hard to believe that 25 years has passed since then. It was a great time to be at Disney! Thank you so much for watching!!!
I need to do this with my Family VCH’s Could be some gem footage just like yourself has here.

Whoa, this is some of the cleanest Journey Into Imagination footage I've ever seen!

I was there last November- from this video the only thing still the same is the Spaceship earth and the fireworks!
So many changes since then! I miss the old Journey into Imagination the most!!!

That sounds like an incredible trip with some great memories! The Make-A-Wish Foundation is an amazing organization!!!
Went to WDW 2-3 times a year with my family back in the day. Love every memory, will never again spend another dollar on Disney. Ever

Bobby Boca I agree 100%!!! The original was amazing and I miss it every time I go to Epcot!!! Thanks for watching!!!
The craziest thing is not seeing everyone on their phones.
I know, right!? It's hard to remember when none of us carried phones everywhere. Thanks so much for watching!!!
