    Can’t say enough about springers. Super smart easy to train very devoted to their family and love families especially with kids! One draw back they have a lot of energy. I walk mine 4 hours a day! Yes I do have one😂😅😊❤

      Thank you! She is pretty smart but what really surprises me is her work ethic. All she wants to do is run, swim, jump, or fetch. I have seen her turn down treats if it meant she could keep playing! Thanks to you for bringing her to us!!!

    She does most of the same tricks our sprinter Miss Daisy did. We taught her a form of doggie sign language, and when she started to lose her hearing at around 11 years old, she could still do most tricks with just sign language. Miss her so much. She made it to 15 and a half. But getting a new springer pup in a few weeks! Can’t wait to start teaching her!

      Miss Daisy sounds awesome and you are lucky to have her for so many years - I hope the same for us. Good luck with the new pup....those first few months are tough if you enjoy sleep!!!

    OMG she is sooooo friggin smart! I think our 9 month old girl , Maggie, has a learning disability or she's just stubborn. We're getting her half brother, Murphy, in a few days and are hoping (and praying) he is more receptive to training. Your girl is beautiful too!

    What a beautiful dog and so smart. As you can see I have one too! Love her to pieces, in fact she is my second springer. I first had a show breed and now the sporting breed. What a difference, my sporting breed is super smart and loves to be by side at all times.
    Some days I think she is a human child. Yes, I agree they need to be kept busy for sure, the smarter the breed the more activity they need both in mind and body. And as far as looks go, some of the comments should be kept to their selves. We get compliments on our dog whenever we have her out and about on her looks!!!!!! People are always telling us she is beautiful. In fact if you are a true dog lover, all dogs are beautiful just like humans. They bring tremendous love to your life and you will never find a friend more loyal than a dog. Dog spelled backwards is GOD!!!

    My dogs were obedience school drop outs. With long association with cats they picked up a few tips on hunting. I was got trained by them. I think Lucy who care much for dog food would disappear to the south for a couple of hours and skipped that yuckier dog food. Remember some dogs are predators fist. Springer spaniels are best living on a farm where they can explore using the nose that knows. Even when Lucy became blind she still cough still hunt.

      No one finds a rat of a dog attractive other then the ones who would dare take a springer spaniel into their home.

      @@baddiejuliana9215 I have in fact seen many gorgeous dogs, and I do agree there are some breeds which are not as "attractive" or cute compared to others, but there's no need to bring negativity and call the breed "hideous" and comparing it to a rat. Just let those of us who love ESS' enjoy them. We don't need your rudeness or negativity here x have a good day

    Where did you learn how to teach her those tricks? A book? A course?

  • @philmaro84
    @philmaro84 3 года назад +1

    How long did it take for you to get your springer to do those tricks. Mine is 7 months old and she is learning so fast. knows, sit, stay, come, heel, roll over, around (turn around), crate and place commands. I am curious how you got her to learn your hand motions and how long it took to get her to learn the more complicated commands. Also, she is hard to keep focused outside on a leash how did you get her to respond. I am havinga lot of luck with her long leash and whistle

    • @77dantheman
      @77dantheman  3 года назад +1

      All of these tricks were taught over about two years. I find that the biggest secret to training is to find a treat that they really like and only offer that up when you are teaching something new. They quickly make the connection to pay attention and repeat the action your are looking for to get the special treat. Other than that it is just a matter of time and patience. Good luck with your training and thanks for watching!

      Juliana Lipira trust me, springer spaniels are huge people pleasers and dogs love using their brain, most dogs want a job or they will become destructive, learning tricks is fun for both party’s ((lots of treats involved)) and helps have a better connection with their pooch

      @@baddiejuliana9215 I understand the sentiments, but you clearly have not owned a Springer...this is what they love more than anything as strange as that may sound. It's the Springers who are not given tasks that are unhappiest. This is a very happy dog, they thrive on psychological attachment to their owners - above all else.

    • @baddiejuliana9215
      @baddiejuliana9215 4 года назад

      That’s all dogs. Not JUST springers. They aren’t commonly used in most working jobs now & days anyways as they aren’t visually appealing to look at. Which apparently matters now in most jobs as people sometimes think their vicious due to their looks.
