I've been listening to this so much since I first heard it on the radio 10 days ago. Perfect for idle study/work, cooking, tidying the house, etc. Each time it's on I notice something new... I love this piece and this performance (baby included)!
So interesting to compare this version for string orchestra to the much more intimate original string quartet (on RUclips played by the fabulous Attacca Quartet).
So cool to hear the baby start them listening early. The composition is very interesting it's good to be reminded that instruments can create interesting effects other than their conventional sounds. Well played everyone. It is the journey after all not the destination.
Breath. Holding breath. Can't breathe. Pressing down, hard. Heart beating. Pressure building. Building. Burning buildings. From the ashes, what can grow? Can anything grow? Continue to change? Change? Breathe? I can't breathe. Continue. Brava.
playing this piece for University of Iowa soon, very excited and honored(and terrified) to play such an interesting and awesome piece. Comment if you’re a U of I student practicing with this video😂
Un genre de pièce un peu exploratoire mais finalement plus proche d'une musique de thriller que d'un musique de chambre... une musique d'entre coqs ou de petite bassecour quoi.
What a subtle display of emotions! In between it feels like a rose in the desert.

Beautifully played. That took some rehearsal!!! Lovely piece, so happy to discover this "new" (for me) composer.
this is lovely! very much like that the Vs are standing .
Was glad to see that the celli and bassi made it out of first position!
cutting loose. . .
I can’t tell if Caroline was being sneaky with obligato baby voice or if that was a candid baby
I wouldn't put it past her
Never heard a composer referred by their first name like they do with her. That's amazing, too.
I heard this live recently and they forgot to invite the baby

Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra continues to deliver the myriad of riches promised by its name
Thanks very much!

I see one of the violists does it too. ( "baby's" possessive instead of "babies" plural ? )
GORGEOUS ! ! DOES THE FIRST VIOLINIST STEP ON THE THING ON THE FLOOR TO GENERATE A BABIES VOICE?
It’s a Bluetooth page turner hooked up to the iPad to turn pages
Whose arrangement is this?

Shaw is a composer of slender talents.
This is just baroque music with added pauses, staccato and prolonged motifs. I see nothing special here.
