I was really upset when Campbell called that fourth down play way back in his own zone! I really didn't understand his head till after the game when he mentioned in an interview that a team has four downs to get a first and that is when it clicked. These Lions are always ready to play that fourth down play. If anything, the thing that screwed it up for them was the amount of time it took to get the play off. If they had come to the line and quick counted, they would had gotten positive yards. Having said all that I still would had punted the ball. The whole night the Packers defensive line did not get pushed around like the Lions usually do. The low rushing yards by Gibbs was evidence of this. There just were not many chances to get to the outside or turn up field for Gibbs the entire game. Montgomery was also taken down by one or two men. These Packers have some real monsters on their Defensive line and no one is going to push them off the ball. With that all in consideration, the Lions should had punted. One other point of focus involving the Eagles. People bost all about how good they are, however after Thursdays nights game, the Eagles are two wins behind Detroit, this is the NFL and the last thing one should do is take light any of the competitors out there! Every team in the league is staffed with the best of the best players from both the college and pro ranks. The worse team can still beat the best team at least one out of every five attempts!!!! The Eagles got two more games to get beat up on, potentially suffer major injuries or loose!!!!! No free passes for anyone in the NFL every team plays hard and hits hard!!! All stars on every team!!! Even the Chicago Bears could probably win the division if they were in one of the other NFC divisions. Moonpie
What does Rob Parker know? You are no coach and not a great commentator....leave the coaching to coaches. Lions coaching staff is by far the best in the NFL.. Rob you don't get it. going for it on your own 31 with a 3 pt lead is not aggressive, its boneheaded. That is the same kind of stuff that lost us the bowl last year. he needs to have someone around him that can say no don't do that. love the lions but your big time now and you've got to make smarter calls if you don't want to be a flash in the pan.
