- The first episode in a new podcast where I interview perfumers and related individuals to uncover inspiration and practical tips for perfumery. Our guest in this episode is Sarah McCartney, perfumer and founder at 4160 Tuesdays, an indie perfume brand based in London. Sarah shares how she became a perfumer and the challenges she faced, as well as giving some practical tips on making perfume including details on how to make her "magical mystery" perfume base and a rock pool accord.

This is my first time doing a podcast. I apologise for constantly saying "yeah" in the background while Sarah is talking. Next time I will try to remain silent for a better listening experience, as well as turn down the audio gain / mic sensitivity since it's a little saturated at points. Hope you enjoyed the episode!
This is an invaluable video for beginner perfumers like me! Thanks, Sam, this is full of great composing "secrets" and sage advice...
Just wanted to say I really like the fact you filmed this, giving us the option to either watch or listen it’s very much appreciated 😊
I really like your question and her answer on why naturals aren’t necessarily at all safer than synthetics.
Two of my favourite "perfume making youtube people" <3 Great to hear and see you together!
Man you’re good at this, I’m definitely looking forward to more.
I love her! Dude your channel is really something!!
I'm trying to learn as much as possible in a short time about perfumery (which sounds quite unrealistic), and this interview/podcast was so helpful. Thank you, Sam and Sarah!
This video could be used for a drinking game, every time Sam says "yeah" everyone takes a shot.
This was so great! Thank you
WOW! This video is unedited and TOP TIER
This is great! Hope you keep up with this, love the format and haven't really found anything else quite like this related to perfumery. Keep up the awesome work Sam. 👌
Great conversation! My favorite interview with Sarah McCartney, and very well thought out yet natural flow of information due to Sam's questions.
"Do you know about the low slope of psychophysical function?" AHHAHAHAHAA I LOVE HER AHAHAHAH
Two of the best on RUclips!
I’m so excited for this interview! I watch this kind of thing while I’m blending my materials and making perfume :-) it’s so inspiring and relaxing.
Thank you Sam for what you offer us in this field. The interview was beautiful and useful. You are a very respectable person
Thanks both for opening doirs for beginners , and sharing insights .
