- Time to put all the claims to the test. I will resume my old role as "Crash Test Dummy" with an emphasis on the "Dummy". I will do my best to break my kayak under extreme real-world conditions and then push it to extremes.

That kayak has already seen some abuse in the PNW in the hands of a number of paddlers!!! There is no doubt that it will take anything you can throw at it!
The hammer is also a pinpoint or localized impact. We'll typically land hard and the force is spread over a larger area.
One of my next boats will be a TPK, friends have 2 and love them.

I think you said that three years ago and I have failed miserably. Still not as bad as yours is though! (at least right now)
