You don't want auto 4wd in a diesel. That's asking for a problem when dealing with that much torque. Also, the foam door cup holders have been out for a long time. They're very easy to remove and clean vs having a spot that you can't get your hand in. Fyi if your truck didn't come with them, you can get them on Amazon 40bucks for thr pair. They fit that cab style 1500 at least back to 16.
In a climate that has long wet winters and some nice summer. I think the hybrid mat is great. Best of both worlds without having to spend stupid money on 2 sets of floor mats.
Same options as my 2019 3500 limited besides the bed 115v outlet. Tommy always points out the smallest little things and his lack of dodge/ram knowledge. He also missed that Ram went back to the Bosch cp3 pump.
People fail to realize the market for these trucks is not you average Joe. It's Guy that own Ranches and Big Farms That can easily afford these types of trucks for there daily's and Some Guy bidding on trailer loads running highways all day that enjoys all the comfort being in the truck for 10 hours a day.
I would rather buy that one instead of the TRX, the 2500 is soo much more practical and useful than the TRX. I can use it for everything. Work, Four wheeling and a every day Truck.

Motors can blow on anything and none of my Cummins trucks have ever had that happen. I also always buy new so that I’ve got a warranty. Anymore now, a highly optioned gas truck is the same price as a diesel equivalent. To each their own though.

It's a great truck and it hasn't been rebuilt or replaced any trans or engine but idk where u live but a diesel vs a gas is 10 to 20k as much as a sticker price as a trx
Ram really needs to put the HO and Aisin transmission in the 2500. HP and torque is way behind in this segment which is the much better selling segment of HD pickups.
They’re the only ones doing that now, they’re limiting the power if you want more you have to get the 3500 which is BS cuz it’s obviously capable they’re just restricting it as for ford and GM you still get the same numbers if you get a 2500 or a 3500.
Our little furry friend did not get her paw stuck in the opening for the rear cupholder, but she did get it and chewed one of the four pieces off! The trim pieces are not available as a set, of course, but only with a new load floor for about $300.
I just bought a used 2017 f150 xl for 27k that has a rear locker on it. Ram, what are you doing? Put it on all your trucks. Or at least all of them above 50k dollars. I'm sure this truck is amazing. But 4x4 auto and rear locker are not to much to ask on an 86k dollar truck.
Great truck, the only problem with it, aside from the slow infotainment processor, is that terrible 68RFE transmission. The much superior Aisin, which also gives you a higher output version of that engine, is only available in the 3500. Thanks a lot Chrysler. Cue The trolls who will tell me they've towed 300,000 miles with that terrible transmission and never had a problem
The guys at TFL have commented themselves before about how the Uconnect seems quicker and more intuitive than competitors. The Nav versions seem even quicker than the none nav ones. UConnect is the fastest and smoothest of the current available systems. The 68RFE is solid overall when treated properly, too. We aren’t trolls when we spout facts.
I have owned Rams for lots of years now and tow 11 to 12 thousand pound toy hauler 8 to 12000 miles a year. I don’t see the need for the high output in the 2500 or the Aisin. Towed over 100k with two different Ram 2500 before trading in neither ever went to the shop for anything but oil and a recall excellent truck.
And whats the payload?? Looks like that one has the Night Edition package as well. I like that the change holder has a spot for Canadian loonies ($1 coins) now :-) Beautiful truck.

However......I absolutely hate riding in his truck. Neither of us tow enough to own these trucks, but we do. I would rather have a lower payload and not be wore out by the time I get to work from the ride. To each their own.
If only ram gave us a 2500 with the high output cummins option and a zf or Allison trans. The 3500 is a great engine but the aisin sucks for daily driving. Hopefully ram will take note.
You mean just like ford & gm? Yes, I know ford offers an electronic locking rear, but I don’t believe it’s standard. AFAIK, both gm and Ram only offer limited slip rear in most of their hd line. Power wagon being an exception.

I own a RAM very similar to this one and I think it was missed that the HD 4x4 trucks that do not have a locker have a limited slip instead. I have had no issues with my 2500 limited off-road. The truck weight is the biggest negative for serious off-roading.
To each their own but to me that’s about the best looking super duty I’ve ever seen. The floor mats I like. Remove the carpet for winter and reinstall in summer.
TFL , I have a real hard time watching the young man review things on a car that they can't realistically afford. No offense I enjoy Tommy in the off road and tour /trail history segments produced very much. But we've all been there young and trying to move up financially in that world, this truck is for middle or older folks who can swing the 900 to 1k monthly notes. I'm looking at getting one and training my Chevy HD possibly next month. Maybe more older crews can discuss these more higher trimmed vehicles in the future more often. If you are buying a truck and would have a $1000.00 monthly payment, IMHO you have bought the wrong truck. If you are planning to finance probably want 40-50% to put down on your OTD price.

That you should mention the overhead light operation seems very picayune. We aren't all as short as you are so reaching into the engine compartment or the bottom of the bed isn't a problem even for some my adult grandchildren. The fabric part makes the entire setup look more upscale while being easy to handle for clearing. If you know that you are muddying or going for some sand, you can opt to leave them out. With 12” U-connect, I think that your glasses 👓 are cracked. That big 8.4” top is not giving anyone else in the states eye 👁 problems why you?! The stack style keeps the interior large and spacious while keeping usage to the driver. I do not know if your cracked glasses 🤓 will allow you to see, but you can drag important app buttons down for main use ability. The a/c hard buttons look good as well. People will still buy them every day without question. Technology advancements cost more and they add more markup to justify it. Even Tradesman trim trucks are over $50k without discounts.
The only Heavy Duty Ram with lockers is the Power Wagon. Other 2500 trims either have open diffs or the optional limited slip. 3500s come standard with a limited slip.

We got one at work, with the big touch screen, the screen has issues, faulty electrical system, have to reboot-up constantly , the A pillars are designed very poorly, cant see much, i am 6 4". I drive this truck atleast twice a week. JUNK
For that much money you’d expect Fiat/Chrysler/ Dodge/ whoever bought this horrible brand to make a decent truck. Only good thing about these are the Cummins option and in some years the transmissions are decent. The rest of the truck is cosmetically nice but falls apart.

The trig is pretty useful for contractors doing any framing work.
I prefer simple. My truck is a short bed standard cab 2wd. With manual windows and locks. It’s a Ram Express. And it is pretty darn quick.

My 2020 Laramie Level 2 has all of the same features minus the Limited specific leather and adaptive headlights. I also paid a lot less.
