This is VERY informative. Thanks. Seems this function works pretty good. Don't trust the truck with that lane assist. You will die!! Its worthless, weaves left or right, its corrected for me after crossing the lines right or left. Once there was a ditch and it crossed that line and was in the gravel before correcting. Ill try this cruise control.
Nice video & thanks for taking time to explain it in detail. However, what I'd like to know how it does in an actual driving condition like the rush hr traffic. Another thing I want to know is that how it maintains the min set distance with the vehicle ahead of it. Is it smooth or stop n go (kinda jerky). How much the min set distance is? Is it a car length or more?
Rush hour traffic is mostly good if everyone stays in their own lane and isnt filling the gap in front of you every few seconds. In most cases the speed transition is smooth, only when vehicles cut in front of you or are drastically slowing down can it be a little jerky. Minimum distance is usually between 1-2 cars lengths but will increase as the speed goes up. When a trailer is hooked up the distance will increase even further.
Yea i would say that on highway is probably the min distance when some drivers will get in between, i have 2022 and I love it, lane assist kinda bad, but will help a lot if you get somehow distracted
@@Willbur-91 I ordered mine on Jan 30th. I think they order it Feb 2nd. They told me 10 to 12 weeks. My truck is built and was waiting transport is what I'm told. End of the month or first week of May.
I noticed no noticeable difference in it at night. In light rain it’s still good, but in heavy rain if the sensor is blocked enough by water it will auto disengage the system.
I came for an answer and got it!! Thanks for your video!
Great in-depth review of how the system works. I have always wondered how good it actually works.
Thank you! Yea its pretty good.
This was a really good video. It shows the complete review of that system, very nice job.
Thank you!
Great review. It sounds very similar to how the adaptive cruise works on my wife’s Mazda.
thanks for explaining this in video format i was curious an skeptial concerning ACC ty sir
You are welcome!
Thanks for this video! It was really informative.

Love your truck and cool video. I called my dealer today and my truck still hasn’t even been built been little over 5 weeks not looking good.
Mine was the same for quite awhile. My truck is built and "SHOULD" be here in about 2 to 3 weeks.
@@DavidBrown-jt7yi when did you order it? And I hope the chip shortage thing doesn’t effect my truck.

@@Willbur-91 I ordered a Limited 3500 HO. Black with the midnight package and air ride. I'm praying it will be here soon.
@@DavidBrown-jt7yi hopefully you get it brotha
So it works as well as my 2016 Subaru. Wtg Ram. 🎉🎉
Thanks for the gift 💙😊
No problem 😊
Thank you! Great truck.
Does it take care of steering?
Does it do stop and go (low speed follow)?
Yes it does, quite well actually.
Where is the adaptive cruise control located on the ram? I have a 2021 ram 1500 and i cant tell if it’s in the bumper or mirror base?
I believe it is in the mirror base.
@@SauerHorsepower okay thanks and what are your experiences in using acc during the night and rainy days. Ofc any cruise control with rain is a nono

@@SauerHorsepower thanks for reply and info 👍
Does it have lane centering?
No just lane keep.
What about when your towing
Does this improve fuel economy?
Not necessarily, I still find that I am able to get slightly better fuel economy driving myself than when I use cruise control.
