I had one once. You only need four small corners of that double side tape. It is an absolute son of a bitch to remove if you use all the tape on the pickup. I've had two of these and the E and B strings were twice as loud as the rest of the strings. To me totally useless.

have to get the slim PUPs that have a adjustable pole screws to dial in each string . . . you'd think National Reso, being national reso would realize that but if you have to use the slim pu with no adjustable poles, can use heavy gauge electric strings, and use a spacer to adjust . . . you can use a shims and clay to hold it while dialing in the height, then use the tape.

My lace pickup was the same. It did fit the Republic tricone i had but it was too thick for my NRP Tricone

It looks great, but I wish you would have shown the soldered plug in. The after you know.

On a square neck, can a some kind of spacer be used to raise the pickup closer to the strings? Mounting the pickup directly to the body leaves 1/2 inch between. (volume is weak)
What should the minimum gap between strings and pickup be? Thanks for any info.

Is there any reason to be concerned about the pickup touching the neck. Would a thin spacer during install that would be removed be a good idea?

I was wondering, if you can run this pickup through an internal preamp. Sounds great of course passive but would it work?

To my previous comment, I am not using a volume knob.
