My personal favorite Edward Gorey is The Willowdale Handcar. It's about 3 Friends who one day take one of those old fashioned, manual powered railroad cars from a station one day, and go on a cross country trip. Along the way they see strange, mysterious, and somewhat spooky things, that seem to hint at a larger story that they are unknowingly caught up in. I'd have loved it if Kite and Flex did a video on that one, as there very little love for it out there. Anybody else out there got any Gorey faves?
ONE BY ONE WE BITE THE DUST! KICK THE BUCKET AND BEGIN TO RUST! GIVE UP THE GHOST WHEN YOUR NUMBER'S UP! WE ALL FALL DOWN! ASHES TO ASHES, BONES TO PASTE! WE'LL WHITHER AWAY IN OUR RESTING PLACE! ETERNITY IN A WOODEN CASE! WE ALL FALL DOWN!
Hi there! I'm the producer of Museums in Strange Places, a podcast about exploring the world through it's museums. I'm doing an episode on the American Visionary Arts Museum, who, at the time of recording, had a big section devoted to the Gashlycrumb Tinies. Would I be able to use twenty or thirty seconds of your recording in the episode (with credit of course)?
So was the public information film on the dangers posed to children on farms, (it was called "Apaches"), but the kid narrating it did survive. All the others died, though, and one in a particularly unpleasant manner. I watched it again on RUclips a year or two ago, and one thing I didn't remember from when I was shown it at primary school was the list of children at the end who had been killed on farms...
I think the most violent ones are: “F is for Fanny sucked by a leech” and “K is for Kate who was struck by an axe” what do you think the most violent ones were? Reply down below what you think pls

I need to read more Edward Gorey for Halloween!
Hahaha I love the emphasis on MICE for Xerxes, it sounded so devilishly excited!
ennui - a feeling of listlessness and dissatisfaction arising from a lack of occupation or excitement.

Excellent. I made my students re-do the alphabet with their own versions.
Kate is the creepiest illustration
I wonder if Little Nightmares was influenced by Edward Gorey at all?
Titus always made me laugh.
Is it Me or does anyone else wanna buy this book
Who would buy this for your children?
*Probably me since I'm a fan of scary spooky things*
Idk who gave me that book when I was little but I applaud them
