Removable bridge is the cheapest and the most hygienic option.
I have one and love it.
You may be wondering why I say it's the most hygienic solution. Because you can easily remove it and clean it. The permanent bridge and the implants have areas where bacteria can build up and cleaning those areas is very difficult because you can't remove an implant or permanent bridge.
Not in my wildest dreams would I consider grinding down 2 good teeth in order to bond a bridge in place.

    • @monyvarghese1647
      @monyvarghese1647 Год назад +5

You are absolutely right. I lost 4 of my good teeth in the process of bridging and I am struggling now . When bridging is done it is a convenient place for bacteria to grow as we can't clean well under the bridge. I sincerely request , no one should go for bridging

Two things you neglected to mention: 1. There is no guarantee that an implant will work & there is no refund if implants have to be removed - which means more surgery & more risk. 2. Dental implants have the HIGHEST failure rate of any medical procedure. And the profit is the major reason so many dentists do the hard sell on implants.

Then you use Google and start calling around like I did. Until you find dental clinic for low income people. Or call your County Health Department. They charge based on income to pull my teeth. Places like this don't do or give dentures. Eventually in the future I will have dentures. Otherwise you can look forward to experiencing what I did. Having your teeth pulled and having the infection that spread to bone removed along with the teeth. None of my teeth could be saved. You can be awake when they do it too. I know you will ask. The teeth I am wearing in my picture are not mine. I bought veneer on Amazon for $40. While I still had most of my teeth. Please find someone to help you.

Number one, implants are unattainable unless you are rich.
I went to a dentist 8 months ago with a premolar that kept losing its filling.after a full checkup I was told that my teeth were worn down, and that was why all my teeth were sensitive, and I would keep losing that filling because my bite was messed up.
Recommendation was to do two bridges for my two missing teeth, and crowns for the rest.
Once the bridges were done,I have had extreme sensitivity in all the anchor teeth that were grinded down to support the bridges.
For 4 months I was told it would get better.it has not,and here I am 8 months later, living on painkillers just to be able to function.
The original problem with the premolar was just as bad, first they crowned it,which made it worse.then they root canaled it,which failed due to an infection they did not detect until performing the root canal.ended up pulling the tooth anyways.
    Will be getting dentures soon.
Word to the wise,do not get bridges anchored to live teeth.
Teeth should be root canaled before you grind them down into little posts to support a bridge.
Why dentists do not tell you this is beyond me.
Will never trust a dentist again.
    Money whores.

There are no teeth UNDER a bridge. It sits flush with the gum. The 2 end teeth you clean just like a capped tooth. Which is what it is. But you MUST floss, both end teeth as well as UNDER the bridge...which you should be doing to all your other teeth, daily, ANYWAY. A nice mouth wash helps.

My concern is what about the crowns on the bridge 🌉 of the two teeth you sacrificed not covering the teeth completely and you keep getting electrical ⚡ 🦷 ⚡ 🦷 ⚡ shocks 🫨 in your two shaved diwn teeth because they have live roots in them. Then obce they become infected or abcessed - wouldn't it be like hell 🔥🥵 trying to get cementee bridge off to treat the nubby teeth tumps underneath with root canals?
I imagine you could go through the top of the bridge through the closest surface but I would imagine that could cause a porcelain bridge to crack or have a hairline crack that could lead to further decay down the line.
Isn't this a majir concern for bridges.
I once had a crown put on a live single tooth 🦷 and went through this befor this is what I asked.
My VA dentist is offering me bridge over an implant on the 21st of December so I came to this site to get another opinion. But you are fovusing too.kuchnon cost
Mine is free as a vet. Im worried about pain and more damage to teeth that ive already had restorations to that i don't desire to have drilled down to save the government money or because hes not comfortable doing an implant that he says well take a year in the v a system.
I'm thinking - "Dude i got a year!" Even though its been 8 months since my extraction i wanna wait 🫸.on the implant to save myself grief i smell coming around the corner with this bridge on 2 live teeth.
I used to be a denta tech /l assistant in the Navy. So talk to me Doc. Should i cancel ❌ the 📅 date
    Thanks 👍 😊

I am not a dental professional; but, having had a bridge now for 20+ years, I consider it irresponsible to discuss bridges without talking about guaranteed subsequent bone loss. Because a bridge does NOT replace the missing root in the gumline, you will inevitably lose bone in that area. Even if your bridge is successful, the option to replace it with an implant once your teeth start to get wiggly will fade over the years as bone structure in the jaw area of the missing tooth gradually and continually disintegrates.

No,@@pany167, the bridge itself has been fairly easy to maintain. It's the subsequent bone loss, however, that is now coming to rear its ugly head. Where are you gong to put your bridge when your jaw bone disintegrates?

Because the cost of practice is much higher, from inflated educational requirements, to overuse of litigation and higher insurance rates to cover that, over regulation leading to higher cost of running a practice from equipment to staff to office infrastructure. It's all people and legislation driven. Ppl want more regulation and politicians give them what they want without telling the truth of how much that affects the cost on the patients and access to care

    Comparative Possible Examples ...
    A) Emax bridges or implants ( do they exist)?
    B) A specific different type or kind of Zirconia in 2024?
    C) A different type of material all together whether it's one or a combined material?

The most anoyng part is the price. Is like this are made from meteorits and aree hard to find. I mean we are living in the era of technology with 3d printers..lol , but aparently this cost a lot. I mean an implant is a fking screw wich cost in my area around 800 euro...for a fkin screw , and the crown made from meteorits another 300-500 euro.
We should all be dentists so we can became rich in like 1 year....This industry are making their fortune on the people pain and fustration.

Start calling your County Health Department. They may have dental clinics. To pull the tooth and they charge based on income. We all every single person in this country needs access to dentist. When one considers the cost of medical and especially dental in the United States one might suppose we had lost a war. I’m disgusted at what it’s going to cost to deal with one missing molar. Two dentists have given bids, even with insurance it’s many thousands of dollars, and to discourage the bridge the pricing is not much less than the implant. I may take the 18th century approach and do nothing.
