You should get a Power Pole adapter for the barrel connector. If you wanna know why search how easy the barrel connection can snap off the radio board internally.
Question: Do you think that the signal stick or other rubber duck would need a counterpoise if mounted straight to the radio. I have a signal stick and want to mount it to my mobile radio with an L shaped bnc to pl 259 connector. Should I be worried about ruining my mobile radio?
Rob, working on that. I have a list of all items I used to put that together and will get that to you. I will have it on the website once we go live, probably this week.
Rob, Here is a link to the bag. I talked with David this weekend at Preppercon in SLC and suggested a couple of additions to the bag such as more attachment points on the back. Its a great bag. Also if you order one, tell him Vic at shortaxe sent me! www.amp-3.net/shop-amature-radio/tactical-transceiver-radio-bag
Nice i can see how that is so convenient.

Was not aware that there was an adapter for that, it is a weak link. Can you point me to it?
For 2023 it’s listed at $275. Way too expensive. Plenty of other adequate options in the market less than $50.
Can you name an example please? Also not willing to pay 275 for a small bag.
