So CW's Batwoman was cancelled after three seasons and DC's Legends of Tomorrow was cancelled after seven seasons. I'm just here to laugh at it and see what the future of DC properties will be for the future.

From what it seems like, Batwoman didn't need to happen to begin with, and Legends was fun when it first came out and in Constantine's early days on the team. To see them go feels like the end of an era, but it might mean that with less allocation of resources to multiple shows and more resources focused to just a few (Superman and Lois, Flash and Stargirl), I think they can make the three work. Arrow ended strong in my opinion, Supergirl didn't, and if anything else, it's like Tex said, they're trimming the fat off the bone and producing just the good stuff, hopefully.
My opinion is the Legends were legendary. 😉
Neither did Legends since it's a show about clones that nobody cares about.

It's such a bummer that they canceled legends of tomorrow because it's not even a question that everyone who has worked on this show had an absolute blast making it.
That show was *Hot Garbage* and was only good with Captain Cold.
I hope they make a Flash reboot some day in the future. The character deserves to have a good tv show, and I for one think it could work immensely well if in the right hands
Honestly I would want HBO Max to either do it animated or have it be a live action series with only like 10 episodes a season so the budget isn’t stretched. Flash is a character you kinda need to spend a lot of money on

Cable tv love doing 20+ episodes which stretches the budget insanely, it's so damn illogical for a show like Flash with all that CGI to follow that tactic. We have too many horribly written dialogue scenes because of this. And the fight scenes CGI is garbage.
If they reduce their eps to 6-12 their CGI can be movie level! Literally like Moon Knight. Even if the show doesnt have CGI the story will be more entertaining to watch like Daredevil since they not gonna spend so much time dragging nonsense out for 25 whole episodes.

@@DaMillerBoi yeah I agree. Honestly the best season of the modern flash show in my opinion after 1&2 was season 6 because they didn’t bloat it out with 24-26 episodes. It was if I remember correctly only like 14-16 episodes. It worked a lot better, but then season 7 screwed the pooch again

Honestly I'm shocked that Legends of Tomorrow lasted as long as it did. The show was campy af. At first that was fine but then quickly became power rangers with a better budget and somehow worse writing

Campy can either be amazing or horrible depending on the execution. If you’re making a campy show, you can either make a Doom Patrol or a Legends of Tomorrow.

Although I watched one episode of infinite crisis where Kevin convoy was in it and one episode of the flash, from all the actors(besides Superman and Lois,grant I forgot his last name,the actor for green arrow and Brandon routh)to have better quality or be in good movies/shows, I want to see the actor for John Constantine to be in the dceu or had his own movie because every media who has John Constantine, the actor Matt Ryan is always playing him and people, myself included praise him. May just be me though
The episode where they did Kevin Conroy dirty? Literally killed Batman just to promote Batwoman 😴 all they showed is that a woman cannot stand on her own, only in place of a guy so I'm glad they canceled Trashwoman.

Swamp Thing is easily in the Top 10 for best live action DC shows
The only gripe I had was Avery Sutherland, he wasn't convincing as an antagonist and is easily one of the weakest points of the entire show.
flash season 1-3, arrow 1-5, and legends s1 were the only time when they were still watchable for me.
Batwoman had 3 seasons? Wow, I didn't even think it had one fully finished season
I’m bummed about legends. I liked it better than most of the other dc shows. It didn’t take itself too seriously and just had fun with it. And it was captivating. It’s had quite a long life and lovable characters that we knew from other shows but just couldn’t say goodbye to. It feels like the end of an era with it being cancelled. I can’t count how many times I’ve rewatched this show. Honestly I think it deserves atleast one more season to wrap everything up. Especially to caity, she’s been on this show since the very start and on arrow before that. She deserves a proper farewell to her character. I really hope it can be revived for just one more season. It’s one of the main 4 arrowverse shows. Gutted to see it go like this.
As for batwoman though, I’m surprised it lasted this long. As for stargirl and Naomi, I mean like who even cared about these shows? Superman and Lois is the only good one among these.
And I think flash will end by s9. It’s had quite a decent run. It had some bumpy seasons in the middle there (s5-7) but season 8 was good and I hope it can finish off on a good note on s9. It’s sad saying goodbye to these shows. Supergirl, arrow, flash, legends, black lighting: it’s hard to say bye to these shows, however bad they were. They’ll always hold a special place in my heart.

The wonder twins movie for dc and hbo max also got cancelled a week before it was set to begin filming by Discovery.
I hope Superman and Lois doesn't get canceled, and just gets moved over to HBO MAX with a better budget and a stricter writing team. Cuz the stories are good, it just needs a bit more time in the oven, and it'll be truly a GREAT GREAT Superman show

Because I personally think this interpretation of Superman is ONE OF the best. I think it is the best live action one though

The Flash was the Only Reason why I Watch the Arrowverse and at First it was Good,however as Time Goes By and being Forced to do Multiple Recaps it got Worse,Batwoman,Naomi,and Supergirl are the Worst of them all,Black Lightning and Legends of Tomorrow are Underrated with Problems,and Arrow and Flash were Good but got Terrible and Horrible with Awful Writters and having too many Seasons,Superman and Lois and Stargirl are the Only good Series that needs to Move on HBOMax because the CW DC Shows have No Future and the People that Work there are Disgusting,I don't care what Happens to Them,they deserves this Punishment and I Regret Nothing.

as an arrowverse fan, kinda bummed that they canceled legends because they introduced booster gold in the season finale and was excited that an actual DC hero was brought to legends, and was looking forward to seeing what they were gonna do with him. as for batwoman, that show can go back to the trash pile it came from, i’m glad that show was canceled tbh. naomi can get canceled, i watched the premiere and it was a slog to get through. keep stargirl and superman & lois, they’re the best shows they’ve got. end the flash with the original reverse flash actor and their big battle through time when RF killed his mom. as for future new shows: Justice U with diggle from arrow, i’m definitely excited to see where that goes (that is if they don’t cancel the show outright). Gotham Knights to me seems like it was always going to replace batwoman as the show set in gotham, interested to see where that goes. never played the game but the story is interesting. overall, i’m hoping WBD takes this as an opportunity to breathe new life into the arrowverse rather than snuff it out. it’s fun tv giving us live action versions of heroes that wouldn’t have gotten a live action debut otherwise (firestorm, vixen, etc). just my two cents lol

Here's a fun fact:
The 2000's show Dark Angel got canned after its second season because it ONLY brought in an average of 6 million viewers per episode. By contrast, Batwoman struggled to maintain even 500K viewers -- less than 10% of Dark Angel's "underwhelming" ratings -- not even halfway through its second season. The show didn't just bleed money and views; it straight-up gushed like a broken fire hydrant. Had this show been released in the early 2000's with such abysmal ratings, the executives would've blowtorched the entire production studio with everyone involved trapped in it after only the first episode.
I'mma be that guy... but since we live in the age of sensitivity and fairness, I feel like the only reason it made it past one season is because the protagonist is female and gay, then it got prolonged 2 seasons when they got a black actress. None of that SHOULD have mattered; the show is trash on its own merit, so it seems like it lasted as long as they did strictly off "representation" of those demographics and appealing to the "woke" crowd. Bro, I don't know how else Trashwoman could last so long.
Because it’s a cheap network so it’s a lot for them. Also they mostly care about streaming numbers on Netflix and their app.
You have to remember something, CW is an off-network which means it's not going to get insanely high ratings. "Dark Angel" was on FOX, a regular network that people WATCHED, hence demand for higher ratings. CW is right now primarily owned by CBS, the HIGHEST RATED NETWORK on TV in the US, Sugergirl started out there and got like 6 million viewers there but of course that quickly changed. FFS Smallville when it started on the WB had EIGHT MILLION VIEWERS in it's first season, now THAT was a successful show on an off-network.

The Arrowverse almost had me when they brought back Matt Ryan as Constantine, not gonna lie, but then they just made him into another one of the clowns on Legends so I was pissed. Constantine was a great show back in the day, but the network hamstringed it, then cancelled it, then they shoehorned the character into the Arrowverse only to do nothing of any substance with him. For that I say to Legends goodbye, good riddance. Matt Ryan is John Constantine, like he looks like he stepped right off the page, and he knew how to play the character right. Please for the love of God give this man a Constantine series that is actually allowed to thrive.

I only ever watched the Flash and I loved it. But I stoped after season 6b. It was so bad and especially compared to crisis and 6a. I didn’t like season 5 but apart from that it was good. I heard 7 is horrible and 8 is fine. I don’t plan on watching them but at sad that this is what it has come to. The best ending he could have got would have been to actually die in crisis. That would have been a good ending and a good story to watch.

I am going to say this one more time. If the writing staff did superhero show writing instead of soap opera logic we wouldn't be taking about them being cancelled. With all the available Information they stuck with the same writing. That's a level of denial I never seen.

These shows were always horrible. CW has put out nothing short of pure garbage. Bad writing, special effects, acting, everything. How anyone could have standards low enough to think these shows were good blows my mind. They did society a favor by canceling them, hopefully the rest get cut soon.

I was a legends of tomorrow fan and oddly enough I didn't care when I read about this news. Maybe it was life, something else caught my interest, or maybe it just took too long to release each season on Netflix. Regardless of the reason, I watched enough of the show to know it wasn't going to last long.(I believe I stopped at season 5 where Nate supposedly dies.)
To be honest I actually enjoyed DC legends of tomorrow despite the stupid shit. The older episodes were just the best.

I'm a fan of Legends of Tomorrow but these last two seasons haven't been that great... Right around season five, the series started going down hill. It should have ended sooner and now we're stuck with some cliffhanger that will never get resolved.

Wasn’t a big fan of Batwoman and I really did enjoy legends for the first 4 seasons however I had lost interest in that show. However I find it to be disappointing that they weren’t given at least only last season to wrap everything up but I’m glad the shows were here and I hope people enjoyed them for what they were. Superman and Lois is the only show I watch and is the one I enjoy most so hopefully that one sticks around longer

There is no denying that is was a god awful, terrible show !
Bummed about Legends, but the show had a very respectable run of 7 seasons, which is more than 90% of shows this day (as much as Riverdale which is THE CW juggernaut). Batwoman, while not nearly as bad as some who don't even watch it, or that terrible early trailer, would have you believe (thanks in large part to Rachel Skarsten) was too flawed and weighted down by controversy to survive. Arrow, Flash had a killer first few seasons that sustained them when they got less good, but Batwoman was too uneven from the start. It was getting better with Season 3, but I could never truly get excited over it. Superman & Lois might just be the best thing out of the Arrowverse since Arrow/Flash s01. And Stargirl is pleasant enough in its own modest way.
Yes. I hope what comes next after Arrowverse will be better. I haven't watched any arrowverse shows, except some episodes of LoT but that was because they added Constantine. Which, while it was okay, he should not fit with superheroes, let alone time traveling heroes fighting unicorns lol. And how could they build a universe without a proper Batman in it ?
