This is exactly what I needed & I’m back to printing with no issues now. Thank You!
I got my K1C exactly 3 months and 1 day ago and just now got my first filament jam. I'm very use to taking my Ender 3 S1 Pro hot end apart to have to fix a jammed filament, and it sucks. It takes forever, I usually have to take a lot of parts off (and even take the hot end off of the carriage). So I was expecting it to be similar (or worse) for the K1C.
To my surprise, it was very easy and quick (thanks to this video). I was dreading having to put the hot end back on and run some calibrations or test prints, but I was able to fix this jam in about 10 minutes (would have been even quicker, but I couldn't lift the extruder part out of its seat) without even taking the hot end off of its carriage.
Im on Reddit a lot and I see people give a lot of crap about this printer. I almost didn't even get one because of it. Im very glad I decided to try it out. I will probably even get the K2C (with AMS) when it comes out.
Well I got mine also a couple days ago, and this issue is starting to frustrate me and I am considering just getting a Bambu X1C instead. Did you manage to fix the situation so that the filament doesn't get stuck in the first place? Although it just takes 10 minutes it's annoying to me, especially when I just wanna change up filaments, retract, and ugh I can't pull it out. Other than that I kinda don't want to give my K1C because it's doing an extremely good job, and quick as fuck too. But I don't want to fiddle with my printer every 3rd time I change filament
@@oliverkrause7307 Are you unlocking the filament clamp? I have nearly 200 hours of print time on my K1 and have had only 1 filament jam. To change filament, I select the Filament Icon (the one below the Up Arrow) and press Retract. Once that is done, I wait about 15 seconds, then release the filament lock and pull the old filament out. The wait is so that the retracted filament has a chance to cool some, otherwise, bits of soft filament can get caught in the gears as you pull the filament out. Hope this helps.
@@KevinJohnson-ge5xs I am in fact doing it exactly the same way you described. It has happened so often now that I will send back the K1C, a Bambu printer double the price already being ordered, hope it’ll be worth it. Printing is not fun when I have to monitor a 10 hour print every 20 mins to make sure there’s no filament jam and the printer will start printing in the air making the whole print go to trash. Especially with TPU I have the perfect settings, at larger prints fail 2 out of 3. The third time then working after not changing any settings and the result is great, just not reliable to achieve. Very frustrating experience
@@oliverkrause7307 I guess I've been lucky. I have 3 Creality printers: the K1, an Ender 3 Pro, and a CR-10 (my first 3D printer). I haven't had any problems with any of them that weren't my fault - like forgetting to put the build plate back in place. I've heard good things about Bambu, it's just they're beyond my price point. I hope the new printer works out well for you.
First week of owning the K1C, had my first jam last night. This video was just what I needed! Thanks!
Done this multiple times with a month old K1 over the last 4 days. New type extruder fitted from factory. Still jamming after 30 minutes of printing. Replaced the hot end with a Micro Swiss Flow tech today, and it's still doing it. I've just sent Creality support email asking for a replacement extruder. Not happy to be honest. If it still does it after that I'll try and return it. Will go back to my old Biqu B1, as that was bullet proof.
Any Updates from Creality? Mine is jamming as well, with black Hyper PLA from Creality
I fixed it
@@awesomusmaximus3766 how did u fix it? I thought i fixed it by making the hole for the filament a little bigger, but it gets stuck anyways ...
I removed all the sharp turns in the feed tube
@@maarsellow Heat also pools under the lid as well with the lower temperature stuff this can also cause jams I've also had bad filament causing problems too
i have a feeling that its because you guys made where the ptfe on the top and buttom connect is made to narrow so when filament is abit larger it will cause a jam ! its the outer part of the extruder i talk about that you take of in the video ! the round circles has a middle part where the filament is guide though ! that can be damaged to i have seen many where the tin wall has broken because of a jam ! might help to drill the hole abit larger also makes it more easy to load the filament to =) remember to align the gears correctly !
thats exactly what it does
@@thejimmyrig yeah i had issues with it my self on that plastic shell its made off ! the houseing where it goes though has a issue if the diameter of the filament is abit over ! i had it jam at that spot and break a piece of plastic off ! so i took a drill made the hole abit bigger so the filament guides though more easy !
Wow this worked for me. I found a very tiny piece of filament on one of the wheels inside, Thanks
Why can't I disassemble the extrusion so simple? It seems stacked and I'm afraid to push any harder. Does this happen only to me???
Just did mine and I confirm I had to pry it open with a flat screwdriver, I was scared I would destroy the whole thing but it still seems to work, time will tell
Thanks, the video helped me a lot, I solved the problem.
Mine is jammed after the blue tube and before the nozzle in what looks like a cylinder. Help.
I just spent a few hours fiddling with mine and yes it appeared there was a small piece of filament stuck after the blue tube. It is hard to see down a small tube but when I pulled the blue tube out I was able to use the metal plunger tool to sort of flip the small piece of the the cylinder as it was just loose in there. My next step would have been a vacuum cleaner if I hadn't been able to flip it out.
Before I found the piece it was driving me nuts as when I used the plunger it just felt like I was hitting something solid.
Ultimately it was such a small piece and a small fix and all my taking the extruder apart was pretty much pointless. (For those reading, I was getting the clicking extruder and it not going anywhere)
This is a year too late at this point but I cranked my temp up to 270 to unstick the cylinder gunk (radiant heat I guess was hot enough to melt the gunk higher away from the heating element). It started steadily extruding after I did that. 🤞🏼
This fixed my issue, thank you
Hi, very kind of you. Do you know if the extruder motor of the Creality K1 can be repaired? One of the cables came loose.

just had to do mine. wasn't jammed in the extruder but between the ghetto setup of the heat-break etc. Creality didn't respond to my tech support question for 6 days straight. Took it upon myself to diagnose, repair and order a micro swiss unit so I don't have this BS happening 10 minutes into the 2nd ever print after the benchy.
Not cool. Not cool.
Beautiful machine. Reminds me of my bambu units which seem to be software aside, rock solid. Time will tell.
Qual o tamanho em milimetros do tubo PTFE azul que sai da extrusora para o hotend?

How do you call the blue tube you slide off at 1:03? My filament is stuck there and I can't seem to get it out. I'm trying to find a replacement online, but not sure what to search for.

At 45 seconds into the video the operators lifts up and removes the extruder. Mine does not come out. Why is that?

I got my extruder out when I did that accidentally ripped the wires off the motor. Be careful
Same here on K1 Max. Doesnt lift out - its looser after removing the 3x screws shown in the vid, but it doesnt feel like it wants to move any further. Im thinking maybe there is another fixing somewhere, on the Max anyway. Did you solve it?
5 minutes later and I got it out - just needed to apply more force as some broken filament was causing the blue tube to be stuck in place.
I don't know why but I kind of enjoyed taking this apart and fixing it.
I can get enough of this machine 😂
You are the best, thank you very much.
That’s fine, but why is this jam appear to be common and how do we prevent it.
My K1 Max has done this after after less than 20 hours printing, my two Dnder 3 S1 Pro’s have done hundreds of hours each and never happened.
On the K1 Max it has done 3 prints perfect and then the third has messed up the first layer a little and then I think it was the third layer it was jammed.
Is it a poor extruder?
I got the same exact problem, not even 50h of printing and got the same problem..

@@crealityafter-sale5706 Mine is jammed and I haven't even had a single print yet :(
You saved my life... Tks
So it’s the same thing but it’s stuck lower
Mine just needed a few degrees more in nozzle temp and it works fine now
Thank you!
Dia uno con la creality k1c, primera impresión con la creality k1c ¡y ya tengo que estar desarmando la maldita porquería que lleva unas horas fuera de su caja!
how to find the blue tube? link ?

If you can not find it, you probably took out and lost with the assembly.
In my case, it was stuck inside the hole.
If you're lucky and stuck here, this might be a good solution. But unfortunately, the wire gets stuck in the cooling fin, which requires the whole thing to be completely disassembled. If you're a regular, you'll have it in an hour. Fortunately, it only happens once a day.

My filament gear kept clicking, is there something clogged?

Had my k1 in June this year, I’ve lost count how many times I’ve stripped is damn thing down today , anyone else have the same problem
My family doesn't want me to disassemble it because they think it's too complicated to do when I show them the video of how easy it is they still don't want me to do it
Çarkların arası tıkanmış. Tel ile temizlememe rağmen düzelmemişti. Komple söküp içini açınca temizleyebildim. Şanslıysanız çarkları sıyırmamış olsun
Easy mode thanks.
worked perfectly for me
You need to fix print 5 it doesn't work

Had that on a K1 Max. It's a pig to do with the lidar in the way ( which is useless any😅way). Was happy with the V3KE but the K1 Max is an absolute POS. Zero quality control and poor design.

You've made a very bad machine. You started selling machines without even trying. I have not been able to get a proper performance since the day I bought it. your brand is over for me. Don't buy it.
Skill issue
😂😂😂
🎉🎉🎉 don't have to announce leaving, let me celebrate one less person that don't read manuals and don't have skills. 3d printing isn't for everyone and it's obviously not for you. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
BYE! 😂😂😂😂
This printer is garbage
If they paid any attention to design, we wouldn’t need this video. My K1 is a piece of crap.
