Probably one of the MOST influential bands of the 80s & seriously UNDERRATED. RIP Mark Hollis a genius of his time. So many great tracks to pick from. Thanks for the reaction as always.
COME ON MAN! You english speeking folks with your "underrated"-bubu! As far as I know this band has never ever been UNDERRATED! Unless you tell me wich moron did the rating. 🤣
Adogg, this is one of the greatest (and most unsung) groups of all time. Mark Hollis's voice is like no other. It drips like honey into your ear. If you delve further into their list, I HIGHLY recommend "Give It Up", "Such a Shame", "Life's What you Make It" and especially the Live version of "Tomorrow Started". That last one is one of my favorites of all time, and it tears my heart out everytime I hear it.
I feel so sorry for anyone who didn’t grow up listening to music in the 70’s and 80’s. This is real music kids. RIP Mark … a true genius. Do yourselves a favour and listen to some of his work later in his career…it wasn’t commercial but my God… it was brilliant.
Usually, singers go lighter on the big notes when they're live in concert to preserve their vocal chords. Kudos to him for going all in in this performance, he sounded just like he does on the studio version. Such a great 80's classic.
This is one of the very best 80's classic synthe-pop recordings. Lead singer, Mark Hollis, died in 2019 at age 65. I'm 68, and this is my life, don't you forget! Thank you Mark. You, indeed, left your mark! Steve
Welcome to the wildly eclectic, independent world of Talk Talk!! From beautifully crafted new wave to early progenitors of acid jazz… From brilliant walls of carefully arranged melodies… To equalLily brilliant uses of empty spaces & spare melody lines… They’re a brilliant TRIP!! SO glad you dig them brother! 👊🍻 Now go check out LIFES WHAT YOU MAKE IT & LIVING IN ANOTHER WORLD then just dive into their catalog!
Such a shame that he suffered from stage fright as well this the sun glasses and the few performances. We lost a legend. This is one of those songs that means so much to everyone. Very addicting. I’m so happy you discovered this
I love this song since the first time I heard like 40 years ago....I fell n love with this song and the video was excellent......he is being missed a lot
YES, MY VERY SAME REACTION. When I first heard this. I NEW that reaction was about to come from u. This was & still is my JAM. JAM ON MY BROTHER, JAM ON.
Beautiful song and playing it for grandchildren to hear at Thanksgiving…we live on…make good decisions, respect all of creation, use original video with all the animals living life to its fullness.
Truthfully I like the look on your face when he starts the chorus. So, good it hurts right? LOL Glad you found this, this is a great workout song to put on your playlist.
Talk Talk is one of those bands that changed my life in a good way, just like Rush did. I bought the "best of" album one day when I only knew one or two hits on their discography and the local hard rock radio DJ was at the record store. He saw what I was buying and said something along the lines of 'excellent choice'. Anyway, I think the next choice of a Talk Talk song would be "Living in Another World". Official video is awesome but I don't want to see it get blocked so a studio version is just as good.Another alternative would be "Life's What You Make It".
yes, agreed, it was life changing. I'm 59, a hardcore music lover, and the album "the color of spring' is one of the top three albums ever made, for me. Not one note wrong on that masterpiece.
Hey bro love your reaction when I first heard this song many moons ago I felt the same way this song is just badass I'm glad you discover new music you love and it's was new for me when I heard Rap and R&B for the first time I'm glad we all know great music when we hear it we all enjoy a well great music no MATTER WHAT GENRE!! I SALUTE ALL YOU REACTINIST.
I can send you down the rabbit hole of Talk Talk. Check out "Hate", "Another Word"."Happiness is Easy", "Today" and of course "Talk Talk" (yes, the band does have a song called "Talk Talk"). Have fun! They are one of my all time favorite bands!
It’s so cool how we all have such strong memories of this song! Mine is that I was about 9 years old and it was the song I played on loop in a place called Chaco Canyon for the summer because my dad had a job there. Look up Chaco Canyon if you don’t know it because it’s such a juxtaposition to the modernity of the song.
Talk Talk was a fantastic young band. The whole album this song is on is pure magic. I highly suggest you also check out their songs Such a Shame, Life's What You Make It, and Living in Another World. All top shelf stuff.
One of my parents favourite bands, so I've been fortunate enough to be marinated in this incredible music almost my whole life. So excited for more reactions of them from you ❤️🤗
Hi Adogg, I LOVE your channel; you bring fun into my work life! It's so much fun watching your face as you listen to these songs, and, of course, I love to sing along. Ok, next, David Bowie! I think you'd love some of his music, some of his older stuff, like his album Young Americans, Low, etc. Anything by him, actually. He was an all-around artist. He sang, played instruments, wrote songs, performed in a theatrical way, and painted. Thanks!

Yum yum! Thanks Bro. ❤ Can you imagine they've played live in my city back in the days but back then I had no idea of what I was missing! BTW you might want to listen to their song "living in another world" 😉
Well, you could listen to their song "Talk Talk." it's funny to think of Casey Kasem saying, "Here's Talk Talk with the single 'Talk Talk' off their album (eponymously named) TALK TALK!
I just love watching you enjoying this. This old lady had that look on her face the first time heard this song back in the day...always been a favorite. I hate the No Doubt version. LOL Mark Hollis, my love rest in peace :)
Life's What You Make It would be the next one. God bless you for your comments about a unique English band. RIP Mark.
Mark Hollis’s voice is incredible, one of the Best Ever, no auto tune, one of the if not the most underrated bands of the 80’s
Probably one of the MOST influential bands of the 80s & seriously UNDERRATED.

It’d be physically impossible to agree more on this band’s eclectic genius!
One of the greatest bands ever! I still listen to them all the time! Mark Hollis was a genius!

Talk Talk is the original artist - Gwen Stefani covered it later.....
Great pick and reaction.
Talk Talk is a first rate band. The studio recordings are excellent and the live performances are usually even better.
The best band that no-one knows (my opinion). Still prominent on my playlists (I own physical copies, mainly vinyl)
He was great there will be no body like him
Follow “It’s My Life” with “Life’s What You Make It”

One of my favorite 80's songs.
You should listen to
Level 42 'Something about you ' 1985
Wow, the live version is amazing...their ability to add immediacy to the song is incredible.
My favorite song by them is Such A Shame.
Mark Hollis. Along with Thom Yorke, the greatest singer/songwriters the world has ever seen
I can recommend the compilation album Natural History by TalkTalk it's packed with anthems like this.
This is a classic 80s song - remember it first time round 👏

I didn't expect the live version to sound so good, the vocals sound exactly the same from the studio to the live version.
Thx for sharing live version. Never seen/heard it before.

Best pop song 🎵 of the 80s
Listen to the Smiths. Headmaster rituals awesome. Awesome
Love talk talk, Mark Hollis was such a talented singer songwriter
Well, you could listen to their song "Talk Talk." it's funny to think of Casey Kasem saying, "Here's Talk Talk with the single 'Talk Talk' off their album (eponymously named) TALK TALK!
Hollis's voice was seductive.
Didn't No Doubt remake this ?
On your own time, PLEASE watch the original video and crank it up. It's even better than this live version. So good!!!
i say live version from montreux is even better
The bass line is awesome.
You would also like their song called Talk Talk.
If you like this, definitely check out the Plimsouls too. "A Million Miles Away." Classic 80s passion. Love it.
