I'm getting real sick of all these penalties that are being called, it seems like almost every other play no matter what game. I was watching 2007 NFL games yesterday and the games seemed to go so smoothly compared to today.
Cam Agreed, the entire flow of the game has been ruined. Now we have to stop the game for five minutes every other play so the refs can review if the five yard reception was actually a catch or if the defender actually interfered with the receiver 🙄

Yeah, what they didn't show was that we tried a 2pt conversion right out of the gate, got called for false start or something, got pushed back, went for FG - HL shows this. FG misses but called offsides, go for 2pts again, get it. It was absolute insanity, and then the bears win with 31 seconds left on a bullshit call.

nope, once you "give yourself up" the clock stops, regardless if hes touched by a defender or not
skip deedoo yeah or i’m pretty sure it’s a knee on the ground, that’s why you see so many plays where they roll on the ground but their knees don’t touch and then get up and run, I think the hesitation before instantly going down was to see if he had a clear lane to score a td or just go down

they made it so that if you fall on the qb as you tackle him its roughing. its crazy but yeah by their new rules he definitely fell on him
Redskinsman10 the red saw helmet to the back of Trubisky helmet. Therefore flag. Sometimes the refs have to do there job it’s for the protection of the sport. Either way no team really lost this game it’s early in the season and Vic Fangio have a lot to build off of win win for both teams

Like that Saints/Rams game yesterday, where the ball was Fumbled and recovered for a Touchdown, but then the refs said it'd been an incomplete pass, then the Saints challenged and it was overturned back into a fumble...without the touchdown.

You guys missed when they called roughing the passer against the Bears when clearly it was not! Just watching these highlights will not show you that fact.
I didn't specifically call out the flag on Chubb - I'm talking about across the league.
It's just common sense. The ref should be able to distinguish a good tackle and intentional roughing. I don't know what I'm seeing anymore. The game has changed for the worse.

It’s super frustrating for Broncos fans because they have two mega elite pass rushers and have no sacks at all. Then when they finally even hit the QB it’s a penalty on a crucial dive at the end of a game at home.. so crushing.
There was also that one call on Leonard Floyd, where he tackles, I think Sutton, and got called. Come on man. That was a fourth down.....

The Bears defense was on the field for 81 plays in this game and Mack was held for at least half of them.
He only had one sack but this is honestly one of the best games I’ve seen from a pass rusher. He was held the whole game and still got double digit pressures!

For broncos fans complaining about the roughing the passer call, there were two garbage roughing the passer calls on the Bears earlier in the game. Poorly officiated on both sides.

yeah but he also had to make sure the wr didn't just burn him to the end zone through the middle of the field. With that said, the db tried to slow up so that the wr wouldn't touch him but hats off to the wr for seeking the contact and getting it in the nick of time.

It said that if the passer is on a defenseless position, the tackler can't violently or unnecessarily throw with so much force. But too bad.
For everyone who thinks the roughing the passer call determined the outcome of the game. The off sides on the missed extra point is the only reason it even came down to the last drive. The Bears would just run the clock out with 1 play. This game is a huge boost for the team. Game of the week.
That was an amazing and tense game. 10/10 wish all football games were like that (except for that "roughing" the passer call)
