The Mormon stuff was interesting, my long time friend since I was 2 was Mormon. I’m pretty non religious. It definitely was interesting going to his house all the time. He’s very smart and one of my favorite people to talk intellectually about things. Granted we disagree politically, but we are pretty respectful and can have a convo over an argument when we chat on it which is cool. I also credit going over to his house and gaming as the reason I got into games and the GameCube being a favorite console for me. It was fun. His family was new to town and was looking for a kid who was around 2 he could hang out with since they didn’t know anybody. My mom had me meet him and we’ve been friends since. We would take turns, honestly a few times a month for a number of years, I think it slowed but was still like monthly or so for a long time. He’s come over to my place and wed play video games and legos and army men and outside. I’d go over to his place and wed do the same. He had fake guns we’d go through the house or outside pretending to be soldiers attacking the enemy or attack each other in a fake firefight around the outside of the house. I think for a few years I didn’t have video games but eventually I had them. He had two older brothers so they had a lot of video games from the GameCube and N64 era, with controllers and games. I have so many fond memories of playing the GameCube there with him, notably double dash and melee being some of my favorites. Vs mode Bob-mob blast is notable, and 1v1 smash in melee. Speaking of his brothers, he was the youngest of the 3. His family were always very nice to me. I didn’t talk to his brothers tons because they were older and moved out eventually or went on their mission/college, but I remember playing smash against them before and it was fun. His family didn’t drink caffeine. His family also had a basement with a ton of canned and nonpersihible foods on shelves, like a decent amount of them, as like doomsday supplies or emergency supplies ready. It’s sad/interesting that the older brother had his mission to Russia and the other to Ukraine back in like 2012 (give or take a few years, and stagger that because each of those two brothers was a year or so apart at least) or something, I can’t remember the times but both were a while back. But the censorship/sheltering I noticed sometimes. One time we were in the car and on the radio was One Republic “Counting Stars”. They really loved the song, his mom and, him enjoyed it (note that many times the music was on NPR radio news or religious music or something else/turned off) and they wanted to look it up. His mom asked me if it was good or whatever (like appropriate in terms of the music video/the meaning of the song) and I said yeah I think so, agreeing it was a good song. Then she looked up the music video and watched it some and said it’s kind of weird and then kind of dismissed it. That was a time I kind of saw it in action where even she was excited and then shot it down. One awesome thing though was that often I’d be invited to his birthday parties and stuff, and sometimes I’d do the same. One time I accepted an invitation to go to a pool with him and his church group friends or church friend guys. What was nice was I think he told them about me not being religious and not to pressure me out of respect for me and to make me feel welcome. That’s one thing is they are nice people, it’s just sad to see the censorship and ways people are held back sometimes. I remember he had RUclips on restricted mode or something where he couldn’t see comments because of the language people often posted. I’m not sure if that was his idea or not, though. He went to a public preschool and he may have been homeschooled some then he went or a Christian school for middle and high school. One thing I’m not sure if it was required or something his parents wanted, but they had a piano in his house and it may have been like a “learn something alongside school” type of thing, I’m not sure, but he oftentimes would be practicing piano when I got to his house to play sometimes. He had a piano teach, too. I stopped hanging out with him nearly as much, really a lot of my old friends not long after, around 2015-16, even though we still saw each other for a few years. We’ve hung out together a couple of times, like in summer of 2020, and another time more recently. He did an online accelerated program or something along side high school work maybe with BYU online I think for a time, then to college for a year on campus, then online. He ended up marrying I think someone else who is Mormon and they live in the area. I think he’s come out of his shell of being sheltered from the world as I think he was by his mom and others, and I see traces of that, but I still find it kind of sad in a way. However, I think he has seen the world outside his religion some and I hope he continues to. He’s a very cool guy and I want to stay in contact, I think the biggest thing I would say is a negative from my perspective is the shielding/censoring/sheltering/pressure/toughness of the faith from generation to generation keeping them in it and away from the real world and what they’re missing and etc. anyways that’s kind of my story to share. I forgot to mention his dad was like super smart, a cancer cure researcher at the local hospital and his mom used to be an airline pilot and later started her own business. Maybe it was just them, but they were a little stingy I noticed, I’m not sure if it had to do with the church or other things, however, and I know his mom and he did a lot of volunteer work for people I think once even after a disaster they flew down to help. I also remember they had dinner a lot with people, I guess family/friends/church members or maybe higher ups in their local church. I’m not sure I remember different people and men. Anyways that’s a random string of a bunch of memories and thoughts from my experience. So many good memories are thanks to knowing my friend and growing up with him.
In psychology, awareness is a concept about knowing, perceiving and being cognizant of events. Another definition describes it as a state wherein a subject is aware of some information when that information is directly available to bring to bear in the direction of a wide range of behavioral actions. The concept is often synonymous to consciousness and is also understood as being consciousness itself. The states of awareness are also associated with the states of experience so that the structure represented in awareness is mirrored in the structure of experience.

So many good memories are thanks to knowing my friend and growing up with him.
schlatt's extensive icarly knowledge never fails to amaze me

In psychology, awareness is a concept about knowing, perceiving and being cognizant of events. Another definition describes it as a state wherein a subject is aware of some information when that information is directly available to bring to bear in the direction of a wide range of behavioral actions. The concept is often synonymous to consciousness and is also understood as being consciousness itself.
The states of awareness are also associated with the states of experience so that the structure represented in awareness is mirrored in the structure of experience.
As a current member of the church, listening to everyone sing the popcorn song was the most surreal experience ever.

I grew up in the mormon belt and was raised mormon, no longer in the church, but technically there is no hell in the mormon religion. There is a kingdom called perdition which is basically the same thing but closer to purgatory than hell. also those soda places go hard, you can get so much fancy soda for cheap with a huge fresh baked cookie
This is the best podcast to listen to while eating fish tacos
