I hope Firefly Studios considers this feedback and implements some of the suggested improvements to enhance the game: 1- Unit Balancing: Please address unit balancing. Crossbowmen are currently overpowered, while most, if not all, Arabian units are underpowered. Introducing a rock-paper-scissors mechanism for troop units could help establish proper counters and create more dynamic gameplay. 2- Siege Engine Limits: Introduce a limit of 30 engineers per siege engine type and address the bug where engineers and siege engines do not despawn after death. For balance, cap siege engines at specific limits, such as 15 catapults, 10 fire ballistae, 7 trebuchets, 7 battering rams, siege towers, and 30 shields active at any given time. This would prevent catapults from being exploited as an overpowered unit that can destroy everything within seconds. 3- Industrial Building Limits: Restrict industrial buildings (e.g., woodcutters, quarries, and iron mines) based on map settings. This would prevent online games from devolving into a race to spam woodcutters to achieve the highest population. 4- AI Flexibility: Allow AI lords to be more adaptive with their AIV designs. They could start with a predefined castle layout and then adjust their castle design and troop distribution dynamically based on game progress, potentially leveraging machine learning to improve decision-making. 5- Bug Fixes: Address all known bugs as highlighted in the UCP (Unofficial Crusader Patch). I hope to see some, if not all, of these changes implemented in future updates to improve the overall game experience.
I don't get these guys, they have had everything to make a good sequel to these originals. You could even use pre redendered, just improve the AI, maybe expand the maps a little more and intruduce a marine. Instead they made that 3d crap, full of nonsensical bugs, stupid castle building and too many stupid features nobody wants to use.
Animations look fixed. I hope they also improve collusions (units merging into each other) and AI stupidities especially during sieges. The new content also look great.
