- In this video I headed down to Torquey in south Devon for another day of adventure! I scouted this spot on google maps and went in blind, which is sometimes the best way to discover new spots, and low and behold it proved to be a VERY good spot. So please enjoy this awesome catch and cook video filled with the best seafood Devon can provide and a close encounter with the seas sneakiest thief!

Thank you!
Great video mate, really enjoyed! Didn't realise scallops could be found so close to shore...
Neither did i until I tried some new spots, the English coastline will always surprise you. Glad you enjoyed the video, welcome to the channel!
Great video, really enjoyed that
Good to hear. Thanks for the support
Went for my first ever speargun session a couple of weeks back. Moved down to glorious South West Cornwall in November 2022 and life has been an amazing adventure ever since!
Struggled a bit, wetsuit was slightly too big, so kept getting ice-cold showers on my chest and back, sure takes the breath away! Also, my mask wasn't a great fit, left side kept leaking slightly. First time ever snorkelling, let alone speargun fishing, so I guess it's a case of getting my equipment sorted out first! I didn't even take the gun out, wanting to get used to the new experience first, but my mate, a born and bred Cornish lad, got a 5lb thornback and a good few scallops which we ate on the beach. Literal HEAVEN!
What mask and wetsuit do you use, please mate?
Superb video, of course I sub'd!
Great to hear, wish I was in a position to move to cornwall but not quite yet. Spearfishing is such a fun journey to start, take you time choosing the right kit, good kit is always worth the investment if you look after it. Glad you liked the video - I have a few more planned for the next couple of months
Absolutely amazing!
P.S. stop using aluminium, is bad for you!
Thanks for the heads up and glad you enjoyed it
Great Video - really enjoyed it - out of interest what depth were those scallops at ?
Glad you enjoyed it. It depends on the tide, obviously, but these where between 8-15m - at low tide
That Bass looked very small !!
Years and years of people keep a mark quiet not anymore also since then that spot has been decimated
It was still full of life when I went down on the weekend!
@@rolyfoster697 What's full of life ?
@@joelspearfishing6222 that area, had plenty of scollaps, mackerel, even lobsters and bass
@@rolyfoster697 not when we dived it and not the only one to say it. It certainly won't any left with a thumb nail like that. Trust me I have seen the huge decline in scallops in the mark you dive in the past 18 months or so
@@joelspearfishing6222 I appreciate that, it’s a pretty well known area regardless, I doubt my tiny channel would have changed that, and I think people appreciate the videos
That bass didnt look 42cm
