    I may be wrong but KTC rose water is just water with some added fragrance or flavour but not a proper floral water or hydrosol. Wouldn't be more beneficial to use a real hydrosol in this recipe?

    Awesome video. I am still confused as to how to measure the ingredients whn making a big batch eg. if I am to fill 20 -100 30ml bottles how do I measure the ingreditents? Some products do have the percentage of use but does that mean if the percentage is 2%, should that be used for the entire formular? Many thanks.

    • @Green2GlowSkincareRecipe
      @Green2GlowSkincareRecipe  3 года назад +1

      When you have 70% glycolic acid solution, meaning the rest 30% is water, so for every 10% you use, there's 3% of water in it. So if I use exactly 5% of it, it will be not be accurate because it contains 1.5% of wate, I had to increase it to 7.2% so that by the time I minus the water percentage in it it will give me exactly what I need. Hope you get it. Thanks

      If glycolic acid is 70% active and we want 7 percent concentration in our toner, then
      100/70=1.42857143
      In above calculation(out of 100% only 70% is glycolic acid and remaining is water. So divide 100/70)
      Multiple the answer with how much percent we want
      Say we want 7 percent concentration.
      1.42857143*7=10
      We need to add 10% glycolic acid to get 7% concentration in the toner.

    • @Green2GlowSkincareRecipe
      @Green2GlowSkincareRecipe  4 года назад +2

      Since my glycolic acid is 70% solution, and the rest is 30% water, if I add 5% the my glycolic acid, it won’t be accurate so I subtracted 7.2%-30%=0.0505 remember the 30% is water and I’m counting it out, you then multiply your answer (in my case 0.0505 is my answer) by 100 and will give you 5.04%

    How u got 7.2
    Can lotion crafter calculator work to do this calculation

    • @Green2GlowSkincareRecipe
      @Green2GlowSkincareRecipe  3 года назад

      The glycolic acid is 70% solution, meaning that the rest 30% is water, so if you're using the glycolic acid powder, you can use 5% powder, but most of the glycolic acid liquid are not 100% so because mine is 70% solution I minus the 30% water from so what I did was 7.2- 30% water, it will be equal to 5.2% of glycolic acid

    Hello can i use niacinamide instead of salicylic acid ? Cause I heard that niacinamide shouldn’t be use/mixe with Aha-BHA ...

    • @Green2GlowSkincareRecipe
      @Green2GlowSkincareRecipe  3 года назад

      Yes is because of pH issues, Niacinamide works best at ph6 while glycolic acid work best at 3.5, if you have to use it, the ph must be 6 but the glycolic acid will not be effective.

    hi thank you for sharing this video. how will be the formulation if i i want to increase the salicylic acid into 1% and glycolic acid to 10%? should i also double the glycerin, propanediol and sodium lactate to increase salicylic acid solubility?

    • @Green2GlowSkincareRecipe
      @Green2GlowSkincareRecipe  3 года назад

      6% propanediol and 4% sodium lactate is enough to dissolve 2% salicylic acid. Thanks for watching!
