Hi guys! A lot of you asked for a fullback analysis, here it is with an analysis of Dani Alves, what a career he's had. Please subscribe if you enjoyed :) Don't hesitate to email me piotrfoot93@gmail.com if you want private football analysis lessons or customized football analysis You can follow me: TWITTER @PiotrFoot or support me on PATREON: www.patreon.com/PiotrFoot
Thank you very much for this effort to make a proper analysis of the best RB ever. We should be lucky for following his career since the days of Sevilla.
I noticed him before the majority. It was in 2003 Youth World Cup with the Brazilian Squad. At the beginning of the matches The media and people were talking and appreciating the Brizilian team forwarders, like Nilmar, Dodo, and other mates whom I saw them as average players. Only Daniel took my attention and was my best player in the championship from the beginning till the end of the matches. He almost did everything In the semi-finale and the finale which promote his team for the title and him to get the third best player in the Championship (I cannot forget his overhead shot at that time). When Daniel Alves was playing for Sevilla & Barca, I didn't know that he is the same Daniel from 2003 world cup. I come to know very late and I didn't get shocked as he made it that far. I don't see him as the best in his position but among the best.
This video is flawless analysis, even giving the pros and cons to making such plays. This will help right backs improve simply by understanding why dani does what he does, and when
I would say Alves was the best attacking RB in his era. His stamina, attacking talent and tireless running were so crucial in providing the width for Barcelona‘s build up play. But overall, I still prefer Lahm.
Dani Alves is one of my favorite player and I got into football thanks to his flair and attacking prowness. The guy's surely the best RB in history, easily surpassing the likes of Lahm, Cafu etc. Only reason why Alves hasn't been successful for Brazil is because they used to be bad for years.
cuz brazil wanted to use maicon (ex-internazionale) instead of him b4 barcelona, dunga and felipa were more like defensive coaches, they didnt like fullbacks going high
I was hoping you would compare his performances with other fullbacks such as Lahm or Kyle Walker. It would help give us a better understanding of his ability compared to other fullbacks.
Excellent video. By the way, 2.4 key passes per game in the freaking Champions League? This guy is much better than Lahm was. How did Barça let him go- and how did Juve let him go on a free?
I'm far from being one of those morons that say he can't defend, but Lahm has more overall defensive ability then Alves. Going forward obviously he has more to his game (Lahm was obviously great in that department too) but you can see why he's often said to be the best right back of the last 5-10 years. Both very different players, Lahm being much more of an orthodox modern fullback, whereas Alves obviously roams alot, and defends whatever area of the pitch he happens to be in on turnovers too. Can't think of any other fullbacks over the last few years to have that freedom both offensively AND defensively.
The thing about Lahm was that he was composed all.the.time. Lahm was a captain, a leader on and off the pitch, and a genius (Pep(PEP!!!) called him the smartest player he ever managed). Lahm was also a defensive beast, and I'm surprised by the amount of people here that forgot the key Lahm-Robben link on the right in Bayern. While that doesn't necessarily make Lahm better, I think saying that Alves was *much better* is a bit much, they're both different even if in the same position, and they're both legends. Madrid fan btw, no Bayern bias lol
Can you analyze Besiktas and their amazing movement on the pitch ? For example they play 4-2-3-1 and their 3 attacking midfielders and the center forward play interchangably. They are just 4 players who can play at each others' roles so its very hard to mark them.
Hey Piotr! I think you should do an analysis on Italy's 0 - 0 or 0 - 1 loss against sweden in the world cup playoffs! That is definetly something major and big that deserves a bit of analysis.
Hey piotr could you make a video about casemiros role in real madrids tactic? I think a lot of people dont understand it, and you could explain it great i bet. J'espère que c'est le prochain video, merci déjà
Dani alves is the best right back in the world ....for me he is nt just a player or a right back ...but fr me he is a role model ...my idol ...I always copy him a lot ...❤❤❤❤❤
Imxortal Ehh hes not shit but hes not good either. I think the way fullbacks are going its gonna be a 3 ATB standard pretty soon everyone expects them to attaxk these days and I could see a 343 working for them
it's ok for a fullback to attack more but that doesn't mean they don't need to know how to defend anymore. ofc he's magical offensively but his defensive qualities are very poor. and i'm pretty sure zidane would like him to take more defensive duties but he's very lazy defensively.
I thought Dani Alves was the best right back in the world when he led Sevilla to Europa League victory. He made more crosses there. Maicon was considered the best right back and the best Brazilian fullback then, and Dani didn't get many starts for his national team. But he remains the best right back........in truth, there aren't a lot of top fullbacks at this time. He really helped Barca press in the attacking half; only Xavi was better at winning back the ball there. I always thought Dani Alves could have been a great track star in the 800 m or other middle distances. He doesn't seem to run as much now, due to age, but he still runs a lot.
every time i try to attack in a game mz cdm and rcb dont fill the spaces behind and the coach always tells me its my fault for not being smart and not knowing how to attack without leaving too much space behing and for not having too much speed but i think its the rcb and cdm fault for not having my style of play in the game because i have defensive abilities but i also have attacking abbilities and staying only in defense and alwazs being on the attacker gets me uninvolved in the game and keeps my confidence low.what do you guys think should i change my team
Stats show he is the fullback that completes most tackles in Europe He deleted Neymar last year in UCL He plays in a team that has 65% possession each game, I can't help it
Would you rather have a fullback which only focuses on his defensive duties or another that can push forward and has a huge influence on the game? He's a modern fullback, what's the point in having a defensive fullback if your team dominates?
I respect Lahm a lot but no way was he at any point better than Alves. Alves is the best RIght-back there ever was imo. One other person people neglect a lot though is Maicon. At his peak with Inter he was so insanely dominant but he couldn't keep it going.
Honestly, he’s not the best rb in the world if he ever even was. He’s never even started in a World Cup, and at this point, as a huge Brazil fan, I’d like to see him dropped, only our rb pool is garbage so it seems tough to find a replacement.
best fullback in world football history and that's not remotely an overstatement. all that's missing is a world cup so any nagging detractors can finally stfu.
Alpcan Arslan Yes I mean that and yes, Alves is arguably better than both. I'm not making fanboy arguments here-Roberto Carlos was a spectacular player, but he was never as crucial to his teams as Dani Alves is, and doesn't have Alves' playmaking skills which as this video shows is what truly sets him apart. And this goes as well with Cafu who was as good if not better than Alves defensively, but could never boast that skill to be the absolutely crucial player in possession as Dani Alves can.

Thank you very much for this effort to make a proper analysis of the best RB ever. We should be lucky for following his career since the days of Sevilla.
Can you do some analysis of Brazilian Team ? Or world cup preview content...
What about making a video about who's the best defensive midfielder? Kante, Casemiro or Busquets?
Piotr Foot I clicked like before I watched it bro
I noticed him before the majority. It was in 2003 Youth World Cup with the Brazilian Squad. whos better than him then?
@@thormungpi kimmich?
@@facuber5776 No way
@@thormungpi He said hes one of the best of all positions not just full back
@@facuber5776 the guy said Kimmich 😂😂
"Just get mentally ready for how insane this pass is"

"WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!??"
Hahaha told you mate
Insane pass from Neymar, then very bad cross from alves :'(
then imagine the orgasm I got when I watched it live ?
This video is flawless analysis, even giving the pros and cons to making such plays. This will help right backs improve simply by understanding why dani does what he does, and when
I looove dani alves, thx for making this vid, great as usual. VAI BRAZIL
Thank you for watching man, cheers!

This will help my game for tomorrow. Thanks a bunch!
You're welcome sir ;)
Analyse Leicester 2015-2016 Champs please (Vardy , Mahrez , Kanté , Drinkwater...) !
Dani Alves is one of my favorite player and I got into football thanks to his flair and attacking prowness. The guy's surely the best RB in history, easily surpassing the likes of Lahm, Cafu etc. Only reason why Alves hasn't been successful for Brazil is because they used to be bad for years.
cuz brazil wanted to use maicon (ex-internazionale) instead of him b4 barcelona, dunga and felipa were more like defensive coaches, they didnt like fullbacks going high
same happened with filipi luis (atleti madri and chealsea) over marcelo on the left side
Abu Hassan
But now carvajal is wayyy better than him
Ata Maicon wasn't a defensive full-back! He was one of the most attack minded defenders ever.
Moaz is right. Carvajal's done really well against teams like Girona and Betis. oh wait
Dani alves best right back ...u can say legend in category of right backs
Dani alves and Marcelo together make Brazil's defence one of the best in the world
You mean, they try to make it the worse
Both can't defend hahaahaha
I was hoping you would compare his performances with other fullbacks such as Lahm or Kyle Walker. It would help give us a better understanding of his ability compared to other fullbacks.
Excellent video analysis yet again. Thank you
LOVELY VIDEO, THANK YOU FOR THE ANALYSIS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO MORE!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH

You're absolutely relevant to notice this detail
He plays like an offensive midfielder almost

Would you rather have a fullback which only focuses on his defensive duties or another that can push forward and has a huge influence on the game?

Aum Occbei I agree that he is brilliant but i think lahm is better :)
tell me one aspect (1) in which lahm is a better footballer than dani alves. none.
Aum Occbei Fullback? You mean both left and right? If so Dani Alves is not better than Roberto Carlos. Or Cafu...
