- Hey Guys! This time, the Junk Food Team did a little something different. Since I was heading off to Hachijō-jima, a small island just south of Tokyo, we decided to check out some of the restaurants at Haneda Airport. It can be hard to choose what to eat with the amount of different restaurants at Haneda Airport but I'll show you the highs (and a low) of what you can get.
We'll try out a gluten-free lasagna, a cheese donner wrap, and finally, TWO different burgers! What a way to start off our trip to Hachijō-jima!

I dropped by the comments hoping to chat about that intriguing ending, but it seems most folks are deep into dissecting the video's editing. The video's a real fun watch, though it does have some older memes, it's still easy to follow with lots of references. (yeah yeah I even get the Phoenix write one ;) )
What really stands out is how Nicholas and his team step in front of the camera. Unlike some other Japan-based RUclipsrs who keep their teams behind the scenes for more views and likes, Nicholas and his crew exude energy and a willingness to try new things. It's kinda surprising to see some griping about the video's visuals, especially when I've seen RUclipsrs with way more memes and editing without as much fuss in the comments. Maybe there are some other editors or content creators chipping in under aliases?
Despite all that, I'm still super curious about that mysterious ending. What's the deal there?

also a friendly reminder for late flighters, at least of 2022 lots of the shops closed at 7/8 so make sure you eat before you arrive at the airport for most options.

The best airport food is the same as the best food everywhere else in Japan: Famichiki. I couldn't believe it when I found an actual FamilyMart airside at Kansai International, and not only did they have famichiki but they were regular price. No extortionate airport price. Really did help my mood when I was boarding an overnight long haul flight out. 😊
I am sorry but I don’t understand the obsession over Famichiki… I feel like Junk Food Japan needs to investigate more on this subject

Make sure they give you what you ask for TOMODACHI
You could do a series about "international" food in Japan, start with Brazilian junk food (look for coxinha, pastel, Brazilian hotdogs, empadinha and others)... I believe the biggest community is in Aichi prefecture, but there are others... or maybe 2 series, the one I mentioned plus another about Japanese adaptations for Japanese taste...
Now we are talking ! Love the idea and love me some good Churrasco ! Don’t know how to spell it but know how to eat it

At least at AMS/Schiphol the food is 'slightly' overpriced but apart from the burgers it looked affordable. But if the burger is S tier, with good cheese, I'd pay for it without a doubt.

I think most of the SE Asian airports are good. Haneda is very clean and food is great. Singapore is outstanding. Hong Kong also very good, clean, plenty of seats and choices 👍👏🙏

Japanese airports excel at having local specialties -- airside -- but once you've passed security, they're big letdowns. That's why I hit up the convenience stores (konbini) in arrivals halls before passing through.
One bonus is that drinks can be taken through security on domestic Japanese flights.
European airport hubs get higher marks from me, food-wise, if only because they often have supermarkets airside.
I love exploring different airports. But it’s kind of part of the whole travel experience too. Doha is nice and Copenhagen has lots of great food and shops
No offence but the lasagna wasn't just gluten free but also 100% vegan.

Totally agree with some other people here. Too over edited, too much so called "funny" memes. I think most of us here just want to see some delicious food, and Nick eating it (and some guests too). He has enough charisma and energy to keep it entertaining without so much clutter.

I did this when book a flight with a stop-over once and why I though to ask.
I was thinking that it might make a good video if something like that happens when I'm making videos myself.
Mine was a really bad one... I thought there was a hour wait before the transfer flight... the second flight was the next day... 25 hours in a terminal 😩

When I see an airport that's basically a mall, it makes me sad at how the USA's airports are so bland and to the point. At a major airport, you'll have your major chains, like Starbucks and Burger King. You'll also have a bar for people who need to drink alcohol before a flight.
I love a good Burger King 👑 anywhere in the world. I very vividly remember the Burger King in Amsterdam Airport
