They’ve really thought about how to improve the experience but - having a 24 hour restaurant would be a good idea! At least one that runs through the night. Vending machines and convenient stores don’t cut it.
HND even NRT are absolutely wonderful airports for us aviation enthusiasts brilliant observation decks for excellent photography!the shops and restaurants wont let you go hungry great varity of food available!💖
I'm glad to hear that about NRT. Every time I've been there, I feel like I'm RUNNING around and never get to enjoy the airport. I'll be flying out of there, this summer, and will try to "stop and smell the roses". This trip (in June), will be my first time flying into HND (but out of NRT).
I’d like when you showed the restaurants in the airport the design and lighting was great I like the lighting and also the food looked good have a great time
Arrivals in haneda is such a breeze even in the late hours. The politeness and patience is exemplary. Took probably five minutes. Makes you feel like visiting over and over again
Hi John. Caught the replay. Great livestream! I flew in to Haneda Airport on my visit and it looks like it has changed a lot. For sure I'll be spending a little more time roaming around the airport. Especially looking for last minute omiyage to take home. Mahalo for the walking tour! 🤙
3:04 John on my last stay in August on Hawaiian my flight was at 8pm the line started at 3:30pm 4pm and it got long I think reason people wanted go inside and grab things at shops inside but as my niece works for Alaska which part of Hawaiian now she encourages to go early in case of issue and you can get a seat if you don’t your not guaranteed get a seat because having plane park at gate is expensive about 2000$ an hour? “at the gate” not sure, so they try minimize time there or stay at time they agreed to or paid for.
Hi John! Great live stream on Haneda Airport. I will spend more time in the airport when I plan my Japan trip. Your "You Found Me" cards should accompany you like your American Express card - never leave home without it! Safe travels. 🙂👍
11:15 - Hey, I ate my last meal in Japan at that place! Haneda is OK as far as airports go, but I wish they'd automate their luggage check-in already. At Helsinki Airport I can just pick any one of dozens of check-in machines, print out my luggage tickets and shove the bags on the belt that are shared between all the companies on the airport, which makes things so much faster and smoother.
For international, they want to take it by hand but for DOMESTIC it is all automated like Helsinki. This is probably law for some countries like the USA 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you for using Haneda Airport. This year, Japan Airlines will be flying to Doha, and All Nippon Airways will be flying to Milan, Istanbul, and Stockholm, so be sure to check them out.😊
The thing that was new to me on my last visit was those JAL "self bag-check" counters... however the staff were so friendly they practically did it all for me anyway!! I love the departures food hall area, that was cool but the last time I got to really stay long enough to grab a meal there was back in 2015! I had NO idea there was an observation deck! Haneda really is such a nice airport.
My name is Fujimoto and I am producing TV Asahi's ``You want to know about Osamu Hayashi now!''. In the program, we will introduce "Haneda Airport". I would like to introduce comments that talk about the good things about Haneda Airport. Could you please allow me to use your comments on the program? I'm not sure if I'll use it yet, but I'd be happy if you agree. I would appreciate it if you would consider it.
I chose Haneda this time since my last arrival was in Narita, which was a nightmarish one hour travel time to Tokyo. My hotel is a 30 minute trip away. I will try JAL Sakura lounge.
Thanks for this! My wife and kids are connecting in Haneda. They land, in Haneda from Beijing at like 10:00PM, and their connection is 5:30PM the following day (to Toronto). My wife insists on staying in the airport. At least this will give them some ideas of things to do (I wish I could be with them, and would get a hotel and spend the day sightseeing).
Wow thoroughly loved this one. So useful and I loved Haneda but was pleasantly surprised when I visited Narita one time. I was wondering what it looks like to the right after the stairs. It's very interesting up there and I had a great lunch too. So much to do and see at this airport.
I was at the other airport and our wait was quick! Our bus got us there late and we didn't even have time to shop for items in the shops......they found us (airline personnel) and put us ahead of a lot of people cause our flight was going to leave. They didn't even charge us for the extra large bag! So nice! Next time I won't take the bus....I will take the train.
@@onlyinjapanGO Haneda is much more convenient! Every time I booked a flight it ended up at Narita. It's a matter of time and date for me to get lucky with Haneda I reckon.
the airport looks so calm! I'm arriving Feb 8 - Feb 23. Both arrival and departure I have a hotel with onsen close to the airport so I can relax after/before the long flight. If I buy the 7 day JR pass, does the 7 days start from the moment you activate it, or chronologically like after each trip you use it? For example 7 straight days or 7 trips inside 14 days?
Thanks for your video tour around Haneda airport. I decided to stay in the Haneda Villa Fontaine Hotel and commute into the city for a few days at the end of next January instead of carrying my luggage. Your video help me plan how much time I need to spend on my last full day at the Haneda airport before returning to the US. It looks like there are so much to explore and definitely try the food there, look really delicious and absolutely authentic. Will they let me check my luggage in the morning after checking out of the hotel for my flight after 7pm?
Great video. It's my first time watching your video. I actually have a trip coming up next month. Layover for about 9 hours in Haneda Airport. I wanted to know where some good restaurants to eat at within the airport. Also, maybe a place to sleep but with fair prices. I'm coming from Canada, going to be my first time in Haneda. Thank you
Love this video! Sorry I’m commenting many months later but I actually have some questions. For the shops and restaurants you just showed us, is that all before the security check? I just wonder how we can manage all our lagged and have a chance to see all this stuff without dragging it all around or can we check in luggage first then shop? Also is there any access to this after security? We will have a lot of time on our way out at the end of July and want to plan it well so we can spend time there and see the observation deck. Lastly does terminal 3 have the Pikachu vending machine? :) our son really would love one and we heard about them but hope they have it.
The Haneda restaurant street & souvenir street are really nicely themed but they aren't quite on the "international airport" extended hours schedule - most of the stores have been closed all 4 times I've been through.
Well, they operate normal hours. You can make suggestions to keep more open in the middle of the night. The feedback helps, most people never leave anything at the info desk.
Its ironic that I always do not have the time to explore this area as I am always in a rush to get through departure and security. I remembered my last trip to Tokyo, the security clearance took 1 hr for me to get through
So when you arrive to Haneda to fly back home to the United States do you check out Haneda Airport Garden before or after you check your luggage/ go through security?
The internal tram was closed when I was flying back to America from Osaka last April so I actually had to exit the terminal and take the external tram to terminal 3 and go back through security (which was lined up almost to the entrance). All this on a ~2.5 hour layover...they were literally on the last call for my flight by the time I got through security. THEN it was literally on the farthest terminal down at the very end of that left hallway.... It was an absolute nightmare as I'm sprinting my ~350lb butt to literally the farthest terminal... Flight I'm looking at next year has a ~4 hour layover. Hopefully that will work a lot better.
Osaka Kansai - it’s a good airport, new when I arrived in 1998! Due for renovations I think. Haneda is really convenient. I think the new Nagoya airport may be the best.
Nice airport and very clean, but he food places and stores are terrible. Plus the "transit" hotel actually makes you process thru immigration and customs which in turn requires you to do so to catch your next flight.

Good video of Handel airport. I left From there on Nov 15 but wish I had seen this before. I checked in at terminal 3 to come back to Vancouver and couldn’t get back anywhere . It was disappointing because our flight was late and there was nothing open where we were. I will check out your secret for next time. I could have gotten some better food and seen the observation area as well. I could have gotten some more souvenirs for my grands too. I think it’s worth a day visit on its own just to enjoy it slowly and also figure out how to get around. We got there early but still had a little trouble but it worked out. How do you like living in Japan? Do you have any thoughts on JAL or ANA?? I travelled ANA and it was good. Have to get back soon but heading to Vietnam next. Love your videos.
