have to tell you that not just meghan, harry's other girlfriends chelsy and cressida also ran away from duties of being a royal....leading to break ups in both cases.
@Shruti Tripathy they were born commoners out of the public eye and while dating prince harry, both realised that being with him would mean being scrutinized by the public and being criticised by senior palace insiders and royal aides alike for any misstep in performing their royal roles and duties. these are issues most non-royal women marrying into the royal family have faced in the past----both diana and sarah ferguson for example. both chelsy and cressida chose ordinary lives over lives of intense scrutiny and criticism which they both felt they wouldn't be able to handle.
kate middleton is also believed to have faced these issues but she was with prince william for ten years before marrying him so she knew what she was getting into. also, in her case, the prospect of being the queen of england one day surpassed any negative scrutiny that comes with being a royal. the thought of being called queen of england one day is far more alluring. hence, kate middleton seems to have settled into her royal role well. as far as meghan is concerned, she barely lasted in the palace for one year for the same obvious reasons that cressida and chelsy anticipated when they were dating harry. they simply wanted to live their own individual private lives and maintain their individual identities.
