- This video showcases a really fun and unique interaction between the Dissolution (Dredge teachable perk) and the Wraith's Serpent add-on. This combination is easy to use, very fun and somehow really effective!

I feel like dissolution would be stronger if the survivors weren't told that it's in effect, like how devour hope isn't prompted until 3 tokens
Maybe they could do that until the first proc, agreed!
Dissolution is also good with The Plague
It would still be pretty obvious they have the perk and you vault a pallet, it doesn’t do much
@@oscar3153 Well, it would catch them by surprise when they first vault over a pallet. That’s almost a guaranteed hit. Pretty good buff imo
@@wbnbn9670 Barley. Also that depends on how close they are to you or if they have Lithe. It only catches them once which isint game changing in most games. It’s defiantly a buff but it’s not going to surmount to anything in grand scheme of things. Waste of resources

I can see why no one would play around it or ever heard of a build like it.
Knowing bhvr they will nerf this. Meanwhile giving the nurse a few buffs and nerfing the pig alongside.

That's the best part of finding a way to use a weak/situational perk:people rarely know how to counter it

@@zombieboss5178 Yea, it sounds like it would be quite fun on Legion, imo. You could be really ugly if you use it with Zanshin tactics to control their options. Do note that dissolution works on _all_ survivors for 20 seconds, regardless of who was hit.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but even if they knew how to counter it, would that do anything? Slow vaulting, 99% of the time, means you'll get hit, so it basically doesn't matter if you slow or fast vault. Yeah, if you don't then the pallet is not destroyed, but so what? You will still get hit at best, get grabbed at worst. You'll end up hooked either way.
@@taigaaisaka6305 bit late, but the wraith wouldnt uncloak if the pallet was slow vaulted, so no opportunity for the killer to do...anything
DBD will never be as scary as when the Killer sends themselves to the Garden of Joy.
I do it often, certian killers do great on it

It’s definitely good on Dredge, since a lot of the times I will leave up pallets since Remnant can cover the other option. Not full proof, but not horrible
@@pokemaster1478 Nighfall removes his terror radius though, so you'd lose the perk's function when you go into that mode.

What transition? Otz clearly reached the point where he can kill the entire team with one M1 if he so chooses.
The reason why the build seems strong despite no gen perks is because you give yourself so much time which is a limited resource as a killer. It helps to end chase so much earlier by negating the time extender of pallets, and by such a margin enough it gives you time to move on to the next person, to patrol a gen or two, take care of a boon, etc.

Dissolution is one of my favorite perks on Sadako, she's kinda good at getting first hits but doesn't have much of anything to play around dropped pallets. You sort of have to pair it with STBFL so you can catch up before Dissolution's low low duration runs out though.
I use it on Sadako too! It helps her in chases, it's the one perk I always have equipped when I play her
Dissolution is such a fun perk in general. I live for that moment between the pallet breaking and the boop.
Mixing it with coup de grase is a load of fun too, pallet break and the mega lunge with wraith
Then play skull merchant it's like if dissolution was useful

Many times you can do an amazing play (as either side) and still lose because they game is already pretty much over at that point. Still, props to her!
Otz!!! Please try using dissolution on huntress! Ive used it a lot and it seriously works really well when you commit to not manually breaking pallets unless youre forced to in the middle of a chase. Works really well on her because of her ability to play around dropped pallets and short hit cooldown :)
wouldn't it be redundant tho? huntress can deal with dropped pallets way more easily compared to most other killers due to survivor getting locked in an animation which would make it easy to hit

@@gorkemaykut5230 imo any chase perk on huntress is sorta redundant, but I've mostly just found it rly fun esp a lot of times when a surv predrops a pallet u wouldn't have been able to play around, so u can down them and dissolution can help in a later chase. also some pallets are just hard to play around so i could maybe get like a hit once there but doing it again could be a pain in the ass lol

Anyway... The code probably needs you to perform the break pallet action as killer for spirit fury while the beast addon probably activates when a pallet breaks regardless.
I couldn't believe Serpent actually works with Dissolution! This is definitely getting added to my Wraith loadouts

I always like to play Wraith with the Serpent Addon, but mixed it with Brutal and Shadow Dance, the speed of vaults and pallet breaks is so satisfying + you immediately catch up. Thank you for this new idea, Otz

Hey otz, if you want to try another 'no brains' build, this was my Legion build: add-ons being friendship bracelet and Julie's mixtape, main perks being enduring and superior anatomy. Other perks are pretty free but I had no way out and surge for extra slowdown (note, quite a few patches ago). Main play style is to snuff out survivors options at Windows/pallets, forcing double hit pallet drops like in this video.
And don't shy away from hitting injured survivors with frenzy or dropping frenzy after one stab because the less hope the survivors feel, the stronger the build shines.

I am surprised this worked as well as it did. After the first game, I was still slightly skeptical because the survivors seemed very new (throwing pallets after getting hit, not paying attention/looking behind them, throwing down every pallet they came across immediately), but the last game showed it still makes more experienced survivors think and play differently and can yield good results. Nice video!

I've been doing a similar build lately, but it's ALL about the kick speed instead of dissolution, and it's got Enduring+Spirit Fury in it as well. Everyone expects the pallets to be safe against Wraith so bringing a build like this is a built-ion mindgame to every chase

If you need a map with lots of windows and not a ton of pallets, Lery's is your best friend. I recommend testing the build there and seeing if it still works out, you'll probably have some difficulty, even as a strong killer main with this build.
Fun video though as always, didn't realize this interaction existed and I actually really like it; it's a shame that dissolution is a debuff icon though because I feel that's the primary reason it's so situational.

That Serpent Dissolution interaction just blew my fucking mind
I honestly think Wraith is the most versatile killer in the game. It’s either him or Wesker.
I love these types of builds that are so unique that no one expects them. I also made a similar built that's probably been done before but it's Game Afoot, Rancor, Blood Warden, and Agitation (to secure Blood Warden hook). You would play as Deathslinger and remain completely AFK until the endgame. Once the last generator is completed, find any survivor and hit them; this will insta down them for having the most chase time. You can then bait out the timer for a Blood Warden play. You could also pretend to come back to the game and play like trash to get the survivors to t-bag you in the exit gate. Once they're doing this (minus the obsession who knows that they're exposed), you can shoot any survivor, reel them in, and insta down them. You can then use Blood Warden and continue from there. I would also suggest using reload add-ons or lowered terror radius add-ons if you plan to jumpscare survivors at the gate.

I knew about the slow vaulting for dissolution, but didn’t know it counted for the serpent addon 👀 a genuinely fun interaction with a simple way to play around it. Still think it’s silly that dissolution announces itself when it’s in effect tho, don’t like that power struggle tells on itself either…
Dang now i REALLY wanna see what people can make out of that perk with the Doctor. You could basically FORCE survivors into vaulting by targeting any path that isn't directly the pallet with your shock. If they vault, pallet's gone. If they don't free shock and subsequent hit. That could be amazingly powerful for my old main. If i hadn't quit the game 11 months ago i would've gone and tried that out.
Man I tried the build, but instead of bamboozle and STBFL, I put on Devour and Sloppy. The very first game I got 4 kills from devour and dissolution helped so much with the downs. Thx Otz, love ya

In my opinion I'd like to see them remove the dissolution warning from the survivor hud. While no one in this video countered it well, more experienced players will and if they know dissolution is active then it's even easier for them, even outside of this wraith build in general gameplay. Do you have any thoughts on this?
I just had a funny build idea. "Frick yo pallets" Nemesis with Dissolution, Blood Favor, Enduring, and THWACK!

Wesker is also great with dissolution. When you grab a survivor of a pallet or in front of a pallet dissolution activates the same frame the vault is over and the pallet is broken and they cant run away

This is so fun because it's like when survivors blind legion while in frenzy except it's pallets so they are more forced to do it sometimes.

Ive been using this build for a few days and its so fun i feel like it gives wraith more chase potenial obviously its somewhat map dependant cuz if you have loads of safe pallets you can do nothing

gotta love how otz manages to showcase a nice build and we all know it's eight gonna become a meta thing and see more people using it either the devs gonna nerf the unclock addon to not work with dissolution.
Probably the only time i discovered a meta perk on a killer. I realized how good dissolution is on wraith like a month ago, and I was literally having one of the most fun nights of dbd I’ve ever had. Its so disgustingly oppressive to play against lmao i love it

i actually have a build fairly similar on wraith with shadow dance plus the serpent soot add on and brutal strength so you get someone to drop a pallet when chasing them whilst cloaked try dodge the stun then kick the pallet you kick the pallet 80% faster and get a massive speed boost from the uncloak then you can lunge its basically a guaranteed hit
I truly adore this perk on him and spirit.
I've went against this build a week ago in Leri's and I have to say it works, he actually got me twice with it

Otz's intros make my day every video, they're always so goofy and funny.
I really miss the old Skull Merchant brown addon that did this indefinitely. It would gain the same results since people didn't know you were using it whereas now since it's base kit, not only do people know it's going to happen but it immediately breaks the claw trap so you can't do it multiple times. Really destroyed her fun chase potential.
The brown add-on also destroyed the claw trap after the pallet broke.
Nothing changed when it became base-kit.
