Can't believe it was still so hot! We went on a 3 day car camping trip starting at 95% charge and got back home with plenty of miles left. More details on the battery usage overview in the last video. We had the whole campground to ourselves (Lake Spaulding Campground) and had a great time on the lake and (as always) cooking a bunch of food and enjoying the peace and quiet.

That rear tent will be our setup when the family grows. How do you like the window shields overall? Been wanting those.

Hi guys. I have a new Rivian R1s and live in Palo Alto. We are a family of 3 kids, so 5 of us.
We are going on out first camping trip on 12-14 October.
Current plan is Pine Flats Lake at the Island Camping ground.
Ideally we want within 3 hours and camp on a lakeside or river side.
Any suggestions? Easy offroad and dispersed is fine, maybe even preferred.

      Congrats on the new R1S!
I don't have a specific recommendation but we love going up to Tahoe or finding campgrounds along 50 on the way up to Tahoe.
If you are more interested in more private and dispersed camping, I'd suggest iOverlander as a resource for sharing cool spots. Also check out Hipcamp for finding unique campsites that doesn't look like any other state or national park campgrounds.
      Hope this helps!
