I just picked up a 2022 model and it’s got 1hr on it and it fouled a plug.. took it to the dealer they changed the plug and said it’s good. Kind of scared to race it until I see if it’s going to do it again.
My son bought a 22 and it wouldn’t start after one hour. We took it back and they changed the plug and it happened again the next day. It’s back at the dealer now. They didn’t fix the issue. Or they stuck 22 stickers on ours and did nothing and shipped them.
Any update? Haven’t had an issue with my 22’ yet but wondering if it is still running rich down low even with the new mapping Honda did. Also debating going from the stock 10 plug to the 9 plug
Great vid. Just took my 450 wre out today for first time. Had the remap done. Had trouble with bike stalling/ flame out in low speed corners. Bike ran great everywhere else. Running Sunoco gt 100. Not sure about injector prob. Maybe I should order another? +50 vet B rider.
The 22’s are having the same issue. My son bought one October of 22. Fouled the plug twice now. Dealer has it back and they keep telling my son there is no warranty. Waiting on a response from Honda at dealer. Bike has 2 hours on it. He wishes he had stayed with KTM

@@AQbumpin Still running rich down low. Black smoke when it starts. Honda wouldn't do anything so we picked it up. They wouldn't do anything because they said the problem was fixed with the 21. Probably going to get the TOKYO MODS ecu and shit can the Honda stuff. Not impressed with Honda anymore. We both will go back to KTM, GASGAS, or Husky.

Mine has over 10 hrs, still starts and runs great but I am still wondering if it is rich down low as well, thinking about sending my ECU out as well. Honestly don’t get discouraged, this is a dumb issue but hopefully the only one to deal with. To be fair (and not a hater, all bikes are great) usually the various color KTM’s have by far the most issues of any mx bikes. Spokes breaking, stuff getting loose, valve covers leaking, frames cracking etc.
@@AQbumpin I've been riding Honda's since 1979. Had a XR80, CR60, CR85, CR125, XR200, XR250, CR250 all through the years. Have a devotion to the brand and always will. The problem is when you kid buys his first bike and they won't back up a known issue, it pisses you off. You are correct about the issues the 3 euro bikes have, but we wouldn't have the bikes we have today if KTM hadn't pushed the tech and made the Japanese brands step up. Thanks.for the support.

Yes the dealer replaced it. You don’t have to send your ECU to Twisted unless you want a refined custom mapping. The dealer will update your ECU with the 2022 maps for free
@@chrisvon8440 I originally sent my ECU to Twisted and it worked well in maps 2-3 but I couldn’t use map 1 that well. Got it reflashed at my dealer now will not idle or stay running when you let off. Honda has said to change plug and if that doesn’t fix it a fuel injector needs to be replaced possibly. I don’t believe the plug will fix it personally. Saga continues.
You should’ve reflashed the ECU prior to sending it to Jamie @Twisted. Map one cannot be changed by twisted. I seriously doubt it’s the plug. 50/50 shot on replacement of the injector as well. Make sure ur using non ethanol fuel as well if you can 2/3 VP T4 1/3 Non Ethanol is the best. Let me know what happens
@@chrisvon8440 well under normal circumstances your right. But I got my bike in September of last year. They claimed there were no issues. So I had Twisted flash it for me. That’s reason I did it in reverse.
Hello please let me know exactly what fuel to get besides pump gas? I definitely need to check the swing arm for grease, any suggestions just bought the bike 2 months ago.
My dad got a 22 and has all the issues. He sent to Tokyo mods and got maps but didn’t fix. He bought the tps meter and just did some adjustments. Had to go to .62v to get it running decent without quitting. Which is .12 more than the stock .5…
Got the 22 450, about 11hrs on it now. Half u4 half 93 non ethanol is what I've ran since day one. No issues

Tried both plugs and they all fouled. Four strokes should never foul plugs.

@@MrJmoo123 new map fixes the problems just don’t run straight VPT4 Race gas you have to cut it 1/3 VP 2/3 Non Ethanol Fuel
Did you get fuel injector replaced? Did you have to send your ECU to Twisted?

Used 2/3 VP T4 to 1/3 Non Ethanol with the updated Remap ECU from Honda. Sent off ECU to Toyko Mod for remap for straight VP T4

I started my 2021 250RX, it shut off after idling, and now it turns over and sparks but isn’t getting fuel. How can I fix it
Check all of your fuses and fuel pump
