Super cool setup
Ed, Redarc is an extremely well known and reputed name here in the States and you went with a great brand that has great reputation.
There are couple of off-road build shops (notably Slee off-road) here that use a dual Redarc battery system for the 200 series builds with one for the engine start and other electrical systems and a second battery to manage all the accessories like light bars, refrigerator and the winch.
Redarc has been a tried and tested brand here among off-road builders so you went with it great brand.
The 100 series is looking pretty good. My biggest regret is trading in my 100 series ( it was a LX470, the 100 series’ cousin from Lexus) and they are suddenly in huge demand now and people looking for used 100 series in both the Landy and Lexus variants. You made a great choice to keep the 100 along with the 200.

Will you also re- do the Echo's electrical system Ed? I went full Victron with a 108ah lithium on my Echo and will be testing it in Mabua next year. Home tested and the 240w flexopower panel worked a charm.

Now this is a streamline electrical setup! Looking very good. Do you think one battery would suffice if you did not use the coffee machine (or charge the laptop; i.e. left out one of those two appliances)?
Thanks mate, it didn’t for me, even with 1 battery in the heat with the fridge pulling constantly it wasn’t enough. If you are game driving most of the day everyday then it will be okay but still not great
Edward, I am glad you have shared this info. Do you mind to indicate which 4x4 mega world did the installation? Is Enertec a local product, or also OZ. I guess you did it in Randburg. Have to have a second battery in my Fortuner and consider this route. But it goes further, for my home as well (batteries).

Edward I am glad to hear it is local. Thanks a lot. We should support local all the way when possible. I am busy to put a system together for my home and Enertec seems the way to go, or to consider. Some time ago, maybe 3 months ago, I saw you at Strijdom Park. Was running into the mountaineering shop next door - in a hurry.
Whats the size of your fridge Ed? And for 2 people regularly traveling what' would be the appropriate fridge size for them?

Edward, any possible reasons why you chose Redarc above InterVolt, CTek and Victron BCDC chargers. Have you tested all those mentioned. I have to make a decision for a secondary battery charger (not Lithuim) under the hood very soon.
The only one I haven’t used of the above is Ctek, Victron was very good but not in the same league as Redarc. I had endless issues with 3 different intervolt units

We were supported enough to do most of the trip which was amazing. Unfortunately I came back with over R125 000 worth of damage
