Hey Brad! Are you going to let him get away with that? Heh. Great job as always, guys. I've been working stretches into my routine for the last few weeks and will add this to the repertoire! Excelsior!
I have been trying to stretch my hamstrings forever so that I can straighten my legs when I walk (hot towel on the hamstring, hyper-extending my knee, etc.,). This made a huge difference the first time I tried it! I will keep this up! Thank you soooo much!
I salute you guys. By the time a fell down and my coxytail got a damage I looked for a solution and I landed on your videos on youtube I was in so much pain. I watched your video did as instructed and now nolonger feel the pain. Thanks so much! 🙏❤️

I was constantly searching for something to help with my bent knees. But all the resources online seem to be geared towards other issues. My knees arent bent while walking/standing and nor do I have bow/knock knees. Then someone wrote online that tight hamstrings could be the reason behind "bent knees" or inability to straighten legs while doing lying leg lifts or even lift/straighten my leg while standing. Lift my thighs just fine but am unable to straighten it knee onwards . Been trying this video out and can feel the hamstring stretch. Love this video and I'm super relieved at finding a resource addressing this specific problem.
😃👍Please do a video on hip flexor exercises. My front hips and front legs are tight which keeps me bent over... when standing or walking. Probably from too much television. Thanks guys!
Just love these videos. ❤️❤️❤️ One caveat though. People with lower back pain due to 'anterior pelvic tilt'(APT) would do well to also strengthen the hamstrings and glutes and stretch the hip flexors to prevent back pain. Stretched out hamstrings might lead to aggravating the back pain due to APT. Best to pair up exercises that first stretch *and-then* strengthen a given muscle group. See BnBs videos on that topic.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE you guys! I am a chiropractor and naturopath and frequently refer patients to your website. Bob, you might want to consider going to a chiropractor who specializes in TMJ disfunction. That, Sirs, for me was the most helpful video of yours that I have seen. I use several stretching routines for my often very tight hamstrings (I'm a dancer) and this technique was quicker, more effortless and more effective.
I purchased the stretching band for my right knee. I had PCL and Meniscus arthoscopy surgery in January and I'm still trying to walk without a limp. I am really looking forward to a stretching video with the band 💙

If you have a bone on bone knee with no pain but swollen and leg deforming a little ……..can you another way other than surgery.? I am 70 years young but do have copd and minor heart issues. I am extremely nervous of this surgery and will try anything else. How many years can you deal with bone on bone before you have pain?
Can I do these quad exercises standing up? I have acid reflux problems (stomach valve doesn't close) and can only lie down for a short time if I haven't eaten in the previous 4 hours. Thanks for your helpful videos, always something new to learn.
@@sarahrosen4985 I have tried the apple cider vinegar, didn't work for me - probably because my stomach valve never closes and always allows stomach fluids into my esophagus when I lie down or bend over. Glad it works for you, and thanks for the advice.
Yes you can do it standing up or sitting up. It is just bending and straightening the leg at the knee while the hip is bent. Don't put weight on your ankle to start with or you'll hurt your knees. Nice bonus: once your quads and hamstrings are better you'll have better knee health too! Really works.
What would you do if you can't even get a 90 degree angle? My husband has such tight hamstrings, he can't even sit upright without a back to the chair.
Trainer told me that if it you're quads and hamstrings aren't strong enough the weight will hurt your knees. Wait til you are strong enough in both before adding light weights and work up. Hope this helps.
I have been doing this same thing for awhile now but trying to floss my sciatic nerve, but I haven’t gained any more flexibility or mobility. I feel pressure and tension in the backside of my knees when I reach full extension.
Even when you bring both legs to 90 degrees, at the same time, to "properly" flatten the lower back? I'm using their words. I brought both my knees up so my hips were 90 degrees, then tried the flexing of just one quad at a time. I could feel my back was supported and I didn't feel anything at the backs of my knees but if my back was slightly arched then I felt stress at the backs of my knees and at the highest point of my hamstring where it meets the lower glute. Sorry, if your back is flat and supported though and you're still feeling that tension, then I don't have any other ideas. Good luck!
@@kiki_soccer_1199 Yes, even when I bring both knees up to 90. I have always had flexibility issues with my hamstrings. I’ve watched every Bob and Brad video over it and tried everything with very little success. 🤷🏻♂️
@@chaserwilliams1 It could be a fascia issue. I’d schedule a visit with a specialist who does fascia work. It could be pulling and you’d feel pain and tightness.
