This saved my life. That is not an exaggeration. I’ve been stretching my hamstring for over a year with a zero success. I developed a bursa pain. I did the glutes strengthening exercises and had immediate success. No pain whatsoever in my bursa or knee tightness of the knee. I walked 18 holes yesterday and the golf course and did not know my hip or knee was there. Thank you very much Bob Schrupp. I’m 75 years old and was moving like an old man. Not anymore!

Accurate. Almost every old-timer I know that's how they went. Something injured them where they couldn't do much movement anymore (or they just did a life change and stopped moving) and you could see the degeneration start from that moment on.
Glad to hear you got your movement back.

Thank you guys. Doesn't seem enough, but thank you from the bottom of my whole heart.
I've had sciatica nerve shooting after being a carpet cleaner for 8 years, working 10-12 hour days.
It stopped pinching the nerve after doing some relaxed standing and walking, months to a year later.
I've never been able to balance both legs and hip since. My right side rides lower and starts to cramp. Thought it was my butt cheek. I've tried so many things over 3-4 years (except go to a doctor) and nothing has worked, except minor things like putting my feet and knees together and bending knees with arms out, putting feet up and sinking hips while pulling head back in a chair.
I've watched 3-4 of your videos that gave me real hope. This hamstring one is the golden ticket, I feel. My hamstring is tight and leveraging my hip down and at an odd angle.
Despite all of my own delusional self diagnosis, when I actually get mindful enough to fire my glutes a HUGE amount of pressure is reduced.
I may be able to turn left soon... it was fun to say I have, "Zoolanders disease " though.

For the glute bridge, your feet were out too far and that puts more load on the hamstring
For the standing banded hip thrusts, you want a lower anchor point for a more ideal angle of resistance… and you were watching your back which is a sign to me that you weren’t squeezing your glued enough

    • @l.k.2337
      @l.k.2337 2 года назад

Good observations. I also noticed the feet out way too far for the bridge. And feet were also too close together on bridge. Feet are supposed to be hip length apart.

We are so sorry to hear of Bob's Ataxia diagnosis. Our hearts' go out to you. I have researched & I am in the healthcare field. However, I feel a great number of your followers don't know what ataxia is & maybe (if Bob feels comfortable with explaining what it is) it would be helpful to followers, especially with others that may have symptoms, if you both did a video about it. Again, only if Bob is comfortable. Health conditions are a personal, even private issue, if person chooses & we the public MUST RESPECT that! Nevertheless, sending support & prayers to you both!

I would always have muscle knots on my hamstrings and suffered from ankle pain on a regular basis. luckily I discovered this last week in another video. since then I have been working on my core and glutes and I have noticed a noticeable difference

Hi Bob. I feel u. I have suspected cerebellar ataxia and have experienced cramps in strange places, hamstrings tightness, deteriorating balance, clumsy coordination, just to name a few.

My cousins had the same disease in the 60's; we referred to it as Fredrickson's Ataxia.

Went kayaking yesterday and had crazy hamstring cramping in bed before I fell asleep. Didn't tell anyone, look up anything related online, or say a single word about it...but this pops up into my feed.
    Colour me creeped out 😶

Sorry to hear Bob. Thanks for all the great info. I didn’t know to keep your back straight while stretching hamstrings. I always rounded my back. I wonder why that is a big no-no?

I learned something today and I had a hunch that this was a problem. Having hamstring issues and I T band issues I used to hold my but and walk at home. Haha. The issues disappeared momentarily. Now I know a sagging bottom is worth fixing. Thanks you two adorables
