Hi Jonas, thanks for the video and the setup file. I use a Graupner receiver on the SBUS port. Everything works well, except failsafe. Failsafe is configured in the receiver, and it switches to failsafe (failsafe bit is set and channel values are set to failsafe values on sbus) when I switch off the transmitter. But, my OMP M2 just holds the last values. Do you have the same issue, with your sbus receiver?

Jonas, I recently used your setup and worked great using the sbus receiver connected to controller. I recently updated my RM 16s firmware to use the OMP receiver builtin to the controller. I wanted to take advantage of the telemetry function. Once it was bound, the collective was no longer linear with the throttle stick, it will suddenly jump to a high position in all flight modes. Have you seen this before? I have two M2's and both do this.

Jonas, what is the range you're getting with the Futaba external RX on the TX16S? I did a range test on a DSM RX I installed and it was hardly 85m. Is that normal?
Hey Jonas! Thanks for this video! Do you know if there is some program limitation for negative collective pitch in normal mode on M2? I am unable to make my CP go negative in normal mode with M2 Explore an Radiomaster TX16S in an attempt to have symmetrical CP settings in all modes to avoid jumps/drops. No matter what I set in curves - the CP drops just a tad below 0 and stays. No problems with positive in normal mode and anything in idle up 1 and 2.
Hi Jonas, thanks for the excellent M2 setup video. I have a question regarding gain, I have used your settings but I can not go above 20% without an up and down osilation, I have tried lowering both elevator and aileron gain to 2 but I still see it, I also checked the main blades for balance.

Im referring to collective 'stick' as throttle. Do you mean because you are not using a normal mode to lower your stick to 0 throttle? In Normal mode my throttle 'stick' at 0 stops the timer. I use clear to reset.

@@Johnny31297 Topman, thanks. Btw, it's good to see you make daft mistakes as well when you messed up your FBL. Makes me feel a bit better about the thoughtless stuff I do 🤣👌
@@markrice23 Eh, it's all good as long as you catch it before you fly again 😂
@@Johnny31297 absolutely 😅😅😅
I have the DX6. Im switching over to the 16s max. With the DX6, I have a dead band on the pitch at center stick with the M2, not the cyclic. It doesnt want to catch itself after flips, and it drops out. Does your dead band mod also fix this, or only the cyclic? Do you have a link that describes in detail how you do this dead band mod? Is it in the outputs and you assign it 'all' inputs?
There is no deadband on collective, only on cyclic. You‘ll need to correct for this manually.
@@Johnny31297 Ok thanks! Ill re-check my pitch curves. I appreciate the help.
Hallo Jonas. Gibts deine Videos auch auf deutsch?
Leider nicht, das wäre zu viel Aufwand zum Produzieren. Du kannst aber automatisch übersetzte Untertitel einblenden lassen 👍
Hello sir jonas since you're using satellite receiver and spektrum. Is this set up also work to omp firmware. So im using stock receiver of omp m2 and bind directly to my tx16s. Is this will still work on my m2?
It’s not, the OMP protocol is very limited in its ability to adjust throttle and collective. I‘d always recommend an external receiver. 👍
@@Johnny31297 how about the mini m2 satellite receiver sir? If i buy mini satellite receiver then download your file to my tx. I will just need to bind it and fly?
@@Johnny31297 doesn’t the omp protocol just refer to the data transmission method? My understanding is that the built-in curves on the board are still used even with using a sat receiver. Can you clarify? Plz let me know I’m planning to purchase soon. Thanks!
Love the design but way too small!, scale it up, so I can see it when in the air! Use to fly Flybar Nitro in the 80's. these are great Helis, but way too small to fly unless your in a restricted site!
