@deborahhuey8437 for some (smaller batches), I just spread out on the dining room table on flour sack / bread towels. When I have larger batches, I will either dehydrate them or freeze dry them. My first attempt at growing herbs was not very successful with the Mediterranean ones. I over-watered and "killed them with kindness." :) They don't mind being dry for a few days. I hope your garden does well! Enjoy!
There is no such thing as"chili powder" - the stuff you buy in the grocery store is a mix. By making you own you can tweak it (my family can't handle spicy things, so I leave out cayenne; some people need zero salt).
@sandratucker7222 Yes, this is what I use for chili and other things ... but honestly, I've never used the packets that are at the store, so I can't compare it. Like the other responder said - it's nice to be able to customize it for your tastes 😀
@Adeline9418 I dehydrate some things :) I bought a 9 tray Excalibur about 20 years ago and really appreciate it! Right now I have my dehydrated filled with sprouted einkorn berries.

I planted my first attempt at an herb garden bed. I live in southeast Missouri along the Mississippi River. How do you dry your herbs? Deb

I kill with kindness too so I planted and let it go/grow, just pulled occasional sprout of grass. Thank you for your reply. Deb

I'm wondering about the chili powder. Is this what you use to season chili soup with, as opposed to the chili powder seasoning you buy?

Oregano the Italians think helps to prevent cancer.
Do you dehydrate? I just got back into it. I'm on the autism cusp.

Is there somewhere I can find the recipies?
@jennasmall4379 yes - see the comment made by lifeisgood - she wrote down the recipes and I responded to her.
