The cut sewer/lizard lore from this game is always an instant fave to look into anytime someone mentions it. LOVE seeing this! This game is still blowing me away 20 years later. Thanks for sharing!
@LylaFur it's a shame...I lost all my sm2 data to a hard drive crash. I textured a different room, a big one that has a small tier on one side and a cylindrical entrance on another. Also had this weird vertical space given to me but I don't think I finished it. It's awesome to see this after all these years... thank you!
Awesome hearing and seeing this stuff idk why I just never thought to look up unused things for any Spider-Man games before but glad I have now. I love these GameCube og Xbox and PS2 Spider-Man games especially this one. I have heard that there were a lot of Spider-Man games developed around the same time and that's why they share a lot of aspects which is cool and kinda makes them feel linked even though the stories are completely different.
I personally wish he was in the second, would have added more variety to the side plot lines and it wouldn’t have been gutted from its original plans in 3.
This is awesome! I remember seeing that odd manhole in a back alley years ago. I just knew that hole in the ground beneath the manhole cover went somewhere! (It was literally the only manhole in the city that had an actual hole under it and wasn't just a flat texture on the road that I knew of and it was right by Connors lab.) This is so cool to actually see in game, thanks for sharing this!
There is a legend that completing the game 100% unlocks a secret Lizard boss fight in the sewer. I made a video talking about this a few years ago, but I never managed to find the entrance to the sewer.
I saw news saying that the sewers were going to be accessed in a Lizard story but it was all left aside and then implemented in Spiderman 3 But man, is it amazing how this was found after years! you think maybe there other entries?
I'm very happy that they finally found the sewers that were discarded in the final version but I wouldn't have imagined that they were in the ground in this game Thanks for posting, can I get your save states and try to make a video about it?
i was digging around in the Xbox version and found the interior under city strip H as "H71U01". spent an hour looking to see if it was in game. there's a manhole cover across from Morningside in an alleyway with a dumpster that isn't a 2d flat model and if you get your camera close to it the interior loads in without a way to enter it. the roof starts Z fighting through the man hole cover its wild.@@Mult_ID
You know what this was came from the 2003 version of the game they cut it from the game they thought that the lizard was going to be in spiderman 3 so they added him enyways in the 3rd game even tho he was not in the movie
They put lizard in Spider-Man 3 since they didn’t have enough time to put him into Spider-Man 2. they didnt think that lizard would be in the actual spider-man 3 movie, dunno where you got that one from.

I worked on this. These are my textures, although this is not geometry I handled.
oh wow! I'm honored to have you comment! was there anything else you did that you can share?

@@chrissalazar95 Hey! I think I found the other one you worked on! Check out my other video for it.
Fascinating, the lizard should have been in the second game but was added in the 3rd game
I particularly liked that they added him in the 3rd game

yeah i thought the same thing, the manhole is fully modeled. and when you're far away enough it disappears showing a void. and no problem!
all my years of playing this game and never seen or heard about this. amazing find.

that's a myth that's been around since the game was released.

There’s only one other interior, which I’ve documented. There’s more remnants of the lizard storyline but I’m working on the video right now.
@@LylaFur that's cool, Did you ever see some people saying that this entry was the same as Spider-Man 3? like the same location as if it were reused
@@MisterBig-10 it’s the same spiritually but in Spider-Man 3 it’s way different,

im working on a video about it right now, save state is in the comment section just not pinned.
@@LylaFur oh okay, thanks anyways
All this time there were remnants of the sewer environment left in the game? Regardless this is cool
