The plotline in Spider-Man 3 is very similar to Spider-Man 2 but it got dimmed down and is a portion of what it was supposed to be.
I wonder if they intended the lizards to crawl hence why the useless wall punches you can do are in the game
the wall combat is in there for ock and some other enemies, but early concepts for them did depict them crawling on walls.
