Spider-Man 2: The Game E3 2003 Footage (5.16.03)
Reupload of all the existing footage from E3 2003 at the Activision Spider-Man 2 Booth by IGN. This is obscure and not known footage that has been floating around the web (no pun intended) since 2011. I'm only reuploading this to get more attention surrounding it since again its very obscure. The date these were all recorded was May 16th, 2003.
Parts 1, 2, 3, and 16 are uploaded. meaning 4-15 and possibly more are lost.

The final sewer interior remaining in the games files, this one being super unfinished and early having no textures or UV maps. this one isn't accessible in game, while the manhole cover is present, the interior will not load.

Located under a manhole in Morningside lies a unused entrance for the cut sewer segment of Spider-Man 2. take note that since this is the gamecube version the models are lower poly (and uglier) than the xbox or ps2 versions. so any graphical errors like z fighting are just because of the gamecube port. this interior is also unfinished, looking at the tunnel at the end having no vertex colors an...

Calypso has the chance to completely go out of the arena, this is the longest ive seen it happen. usually happens for only a few seconds but she never respawned.

So the lizard has voice lines in the files, had a concept art piece, was in a couple of versions of spider-man 2: the video game, as well as the 2003 E3 trailer and there's this lizard minion that I've never seen before...do you think there's an early build of the ps2 version somewhere that has a lizard boss fight, or at least a model of lizzy? i personally think that's too good to be true.
Honestly I have really high hopes that there’s a build with the sewers. The lizard was barely getting his AI programmed before it was cut so I don’t think his model exists, but his SM2 design was used for the SM3 game on PS2, just with brown pants instead of his purple ones.
@@LylaFur that's unfortunate, would've been a fun boss fight for the ps2 version of spider-man 2, hell we could've gotten a couple of interesting side missions with all the mini lizards. Oh yeah, i legit completely forgot that the psp/ps2/wii version of spider-man 3 had that original lizard model.

Interesting, it seems that the skybox is different, the spidey and building models look like they have a higher number of polygons (i know this isn't the way to describe them i just don't know the correct way to explain it) the health icon has the 2002 back spider logo instead of the 2004 version and the lightning also looks different, it reminds me of those 2002 spidey promo pics.

@@mr.selfimprovement3241 even for the xbox its not very well optimized, its weird that the frames tank, the entire build is only a 300x300 space.

interesting there's more animations on jumping 0:57 as well as some minor animations like the wall climbing, etc look more smooth than the final version. I wonder why they took out the beta car beating mechanic 2:30 It looks more stylized than just wthout it. I feel like the art direction (especially when the city is at night time) has a lot of style as well. Final version of the city looks too dull in my opinion compared to the beta here. Kinda wish they went with that art direction, it just pops more. (Maybe a modding project could possibly restore some of the elements)

@@PeterParker-uf7zl No really what's the source? Why would SM The Movie game be remastered? It came out 2 years before and the graphics aren't that much better here. You may be talking about how the SM The Movie game was meant to be a remaster of the 2000 Ps1 game, which is why the game mechanics are similar.

20 years and we're still finding out stuff about this game, would love to see this game get decompiled and see this chapter (at least partially) restored, if that's even possible

These sewers look very similar to the ones we got in the Spider-Man 3 game, not to mention the plot details sound very similar to the one we got in the Spider-Man 3 game.
The plotline in Spider-Man 3 is very similar to Spider-Man 2 but it got dimmed down and is a portion of what it was supposed to be.
