Our training styles are so different so I love seeing how you’ve maximized your space for you. Too many people try to say that one single setup is best for everyone. I doubt my gym will ever look like yours, but I always learn from your videos and get ideas for things that would work for my training. Keep up the awesome work!
I really appreciate that. I enjoy seeing other home gyms too and, like you said, we all need find a set up we like and one that we will use. When I first started lifting, I did a lot more barbell work, but just found I like machines and dumbbells better. Thanks again.
Sharp gym, you might be the only person in America that has such a nice gym without barbells or curl bars, haha
Cool setup
lol! It certainly makes my gym unique. Thanks so much, BH!
That jumping spinning heel kick was insane! 🔥 was not expecting that lol.
Very nice set up too man
Thanks so much, Swoleseph. That kick was a little easier 30 years ago 🤓
Great home gym setup. Very detailed and I love the way you explain all the versatility of each piece of equipment.
I appreciate that. Thank you.
Excellent gym tour. Your organization and cleanliness are second to none.
I appreciate the updated reviews on each product as well.
Thanks so much, Stevie.
I feel slightly attacked about my garage that’s is filled with commercial equipment, many of which are “one movement” type machines haha.
Excellent set up proving you don’t need all commercial pieces to make great gains and work hard. You have no gaps at all in movements and exercises.
Can’t help but slightly miss the hardcore vibe with that pendulum but the most important thing is you loving your set up and using the pieces within the set up!
lol! If I had more space, I would have kept all of the commercial pieces and continued to add more, but with space being at a premium, versatility wins. My wife and I have talked about adding a building to our property, but that’s TBD.
I really appreciate it. I do miss that Pendulum Squat, and some of those Fettle pieces, but they took up a lot of room. Thanks again!
i love all the arsenal you have there. I also love the fact that you always take into consideration how to reduce injuries, what works best and worst. I got tennis elbow after carrying dumbbells when I was going to do a shoulder press and started to increase the weight. So same as you did, had to test what worked best and what aggravated my tennis elbow. I just wish my tennis elbow to go lol, it's quite annoying but it's improving slowly.
Thank you…although I am missing a staple: A Power Rack.
such a sick setup! Nothing beats training at home!!!
You got that right, GGH!
What an amazing gym, it's better than some of the best commercial setups. Great hacks and tips as well 👍
I really appreciate that. Thank you.
Great setup HGHR! Now if you install a tube transport system that jettisons you between the different gyms, then your project will be finished!
Thank you, BGB! That’s my next hack.
Always great seeing a new video from you, loved it!
That is awesome to hear. Thank you.
I came for the equipment, but I stayed for the spin-kicks.
lol! That might be the last one I ever do. 🤓
This is insane, but I loved every minute of it!
lol! Thank you.
Man you have the most underrated home gym youtube channel!
I sincerely appreciate that. Thank you.
I always enjoy an updated HGHR tour!
And I always love when The Carter stops by.
Among the best put together videos. Nice gym bud.
I really appreciate that. Thank you!
Great tour and brief review of the equipment!
Thank you, Tim!
Love the new layout! Gotta love the extra floor space!
Walking around with less bumps and bruises has been nice.
Love this video !! Thanks
Thank you!
Very well described as always. Beautiful house btw.
I appreciate it.
Great look in
Thank you, BB!
Great video and channel man I hope your health journey has continued to get better man
Thank you. I really appreciate it.
Great as always! :D
Sincerely appreciated.
I'm shocked by the lack of the "just squat bro" comments. Nice gym home!!
Thank you! I’ve gotten that comment on other videos. Due to my lower back, my barbell squat and deadlift days are over; I had to accept that in my mid 30s.
Awesome set up
Thank you!
Very nice setup!
Thank you, TB!
I'm jealous that you have so much space. Personally, though, I feel like many of your pieces of equipment seem a bit haphazardly put together. I would have opted for higher quality machines, maybe from a single series. But it's YOUR home gym, and it has to please YOU, and the most important thing is that your wife is joining in :)
Space is so crucial. I’ve had what amounts to a big closet as one of my old home gyms and at one point, I had a basement that was 3 times the size of this garage (I’d love to have that space now).
If you go back and watch the tour before this one, my gym was full of Commercial Grade Equipment. I chose to sell all that stuff and build the gym with mostly Powertec products, while not commercial-grade, the pieces are highly versatile, have a small footprint, and they will outlast me.
Your last sentence nailed it. Everyone has to build a gym they like, they use, and their wife agrees to 🤓
I came to see if the Titan band holder was still the cornerstone of your gym 😂 like mine and thanked you for not just talking about it hahaha . 👊
lol! I’m glad I didn’t disappoint. Although, I did put a black backdrop behind the lettering so now it’s not obvious it’s Titan.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews 🤣
Impressive set up!
Really appreciate it.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews I don't have that kind of space, but I might be able to fit a power rack type unit and at least replicate 85% of movements I'd do at the gym. 👍
Gym home for sure. Jujimufu would be proud
Thank you.
I love seeing the iterations of your gym- I like seeing the forest instead of just the trees!
The multipress has the bench attached (unlike the levergym). Do you think Powertec would ever make a version where the bench could be removed (thereby taking up a lot less space)?
Thank you! I’m not sure, but it would pretty cool. When I started this garage gym, I was only using 1/2 of the 2 car garage. Like you said, I almost got a Multipress, but then decided on the Levergym because it takes up less space when the bench isn’t connected.
I do think they tried to sell a product similar to what you’re talking about many years ago, but it never really took off.
NEVER sell either Nautilus piece. Heirlooms without a doubt. Another great video with small, but highly valuable, hacks. Thx
I really appreciate that. Thank you.
Great gym(s)
Thanks so much!
lol 💪🏼
Great video. Still can’t decide my next purchase: levergym or IM2000 for my soon to be completed gym-shed
Thank you. If you haven’t seen it, the old video I have comparing the two machines might help make that decision easier.
Thanks for the video. Do you like the powertec smith machine more than the im2000 you used to own?
In my present layout, I just wanted a Smith without any extras and it needed to have a small footprint; I think the Powertec Smith is just about the most compact Smith there is. In my recent review for the Powertec Smith, I briefly compare features I like about each machine if you want to check it out.
I still miss the spring on my old compact leg sled 😂
It was a cool feature but I don’t miss the hook scraping and I definitely didn’t miss the spring during the new model’s assembly. 🤓
I have a feeling this is what my gym could potentially look like when I’m 70 years old. No barbells roughhhh
I plan on adding barbells back into my gym when I turn 70.
Can’t use the dip or pec attachment due to it not having enough weight. But I grew up with a great pec deck machine (think my dad still has it). Otherwise, I love the powertec levergym, though I am close to weight capacity on some exercises, I just can increase reps.
You can go over 200 pounds on the Pec Fly?!?!? That is pretty good. I think 100 is the most I ever tried. I would like to go heavier than 200 on the dip, but doing an exercise beforehand helps it “feel” heavier. Really good to hear you’re happy with the Levergym.
Where does this dude live.... so I can keep my eyes peeled for when he sells his stuff like he keeps doing, haha. Must've missed the video where he sold the rhino.... and pendulum squat..... and a butt load of other equipment. I'd love to be this dude's neighbor.
I have definitely given my friends some good deals over the years. Also, I have three videos detailing all of the equipment I’ve sold and how much I’ve sold each piece for…I usually sell things for a very reasonable price so it moves quickly.
I'm sure I missed this one of your earlier videos but why did you get rid of your pendulum squat? Powertec compact leg sled replace that? I was thinking about getting one or the other for my home gym. Thanks!
In order to keep the channel going / reviews coming, I had to sell nearly everything and start over. I’ve had to do this 4 times in 4-5 years, which really is a downside to having a review channel.
As for deciding between the 2…I think the Pendulum is a better quad builder which requires much less weight, but the Compact Leg Sled is more versatile with a much smaller footprint.
This is awesome!
I’m assuming a back injury led to the no power rack/no squatting?
Any regrets you’d like to share?
Thank so much!
My original lower back injury came from, of all things, a hack squat machine. After that, I would regularly tweak my back when doing deadlifts, barbell squats, barbell rows, and even cable rows. As much as I wanted to deadlift and squat, it just wasn’t worth it. As a result, I’ve learned to just work around it with things like belt squats.
As for home gym regrets, I’ve tried a lot of different equipment from a lot of different brands and most of it has been really good. The Rogue Abram and Rogue Echo Bike were things I didn’t get much use out of. I had one bad experience with Fitness Equipment Empire.
Am insane setup
Thank you, Kurt.
If you didn't have a yt channel, do you think the mirrors make the space better or they are not that important?
I do think the mirrors make the space better.
Do you prefer using the powertec leverage gym or a classic barbell power rack workout ?
The Levergym.
man i see a video of the "Quantum Trainer Pro 2" i think that he can easily outmatch the levergym concept in almost every aspect. Hope that you will test that on the channel!
I’ve seen that machine and I’ve thought about it. However, it’s double the price of the Levergym.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews yeah i hope that someone brand decline that machine in a home gym target price.
Could you please do the best hacks for all your machines especially the daisy chains and any other new additions.
Thanks Brother
I have certainly thought about doing an updated video like that. When I first started this channel, I made a video called, My Favorite Home Gym Hacks and DIY. The Seventh installment in my Levergym Hack Series is dedicated to Daisy Chains.
Thanks so much.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Maybe add a way to do rear delt fly with daisy chain on your powertec pec fly.
@@eddierivera6896 I’ve tried a couple things and I haven’t found anything worth sharing. In my updated review for the Pec Fly Attachment, I showed a way to do standing Lat Raises with daisy chains, but it’s fair at best.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews You could try ab straps and do it like the old school side lateral machine.
@@eddierivera6896 I think I tried Ab Straps a few months ago but wasn’t too impressed.
May I ask what's the thingie you put on nautilus pull over machine? I found it useful
The spacers between the brackets and elbow pads?
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews yes
@@javig9346 1/2 horse stall mat cut into (6) 5” x 5” squares.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews thank you
Do you have any advice for moving equipment up small sets of steps?
I want to buy a Nautilus Nitro Pulldown, but I have five small steps to a landing; and another 4 before the rest of the way is flat
If you could get 3 other really strong people and use something like a Shoulder Dolly that might do it…I’ve never tried to move commercial equipment up a flight of stairs. An appliance dolly may also work.
I think it would have been nearly impossible to move my Nautilus Pullover up a couple steps…I’m not even sure my garage steps could handle the weight of the machine.
Truthfully, the best and safest option, is to take it apart and move it (at least the selectorized stack).
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Yeah, that’s my primary thought. A huge part of the from is singularly welded. So, breaking it down like with my 2st Vertical Chest Press won’t be possible. I guess I’ll need to figure it out. Or, build a ramp
@@fatboitino2 if you get a chance, please let me know how it goes and what you decided to do.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews will do
Your more obsessed with buying equipment than me.
Some of that is to keep the channel going with new reviews, but mostly because I love it 🤓
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews I totally get it the gym is something I love and enjoy. Buying becomes an obsession. Almost a collection but definitely gets used. Very proud of my gym
You sold your Ironmaster equipment ?
I had to clean house and sell all my Ironmaster, Fettle, Titan, and Rogue equipment. Unfortunately, to keep this channel going, equipment has to come and go.
l do 300 lbs leg curls why can't you imagine it?>
With one leg or both at the same time? 🤓
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews 700 lbs squat to

lol! She’s very supportive, but she also likes lifting.
