One thing that you skip well maybe in England is different but here in the USA they also require the thick and fleas medicine in a period of 10 days before you fly there. • @TheHawaiiVacationGuide
      @TheHawaiiVacationGuide  3 года назад +1

      it is easy to fly between islands. When you go back to the states and then back to Hawaii then paperwork is required to show the rabies vaccine is still good, like a booster and a health check at arrival.

    • @ashleyburroughs636
      @ashleyburroughs636 3 года назад +1

      You can fly to other rabies free zones such as Japan, but if you travel with them to continental US or other country that has rabies then you kind of have to go through the process again.

    My only question is about having your dog directly released once you arrive at the airport. I can't seem to find any information about that. We are considering moving to Maui and bringing our dog with us, and we would love to have a veterinarian meet us at the airport like you guys did, but I'm not seeing any information about how to go about doing that. (All the information I can find is that all dogs and cats need to go directly to Oahu first to be quarantined for 5 days. But ideally we'd like to fly him directly to Maui with us, and do what you guys did.)

    I got a job out of the blue on Maui. Now my wife and daughter and Yorke need to wait a god offal amount of time to be here with me. Rent everywhere is expensive and now I’m paying rent in two different states for three months. What a giant pain in the ass. You would think that in 2024 there would be a quicker way of getting test results. And even after having test results being able to show them right away instead of waiting. Sounds like from being to end is minimum 3 1/2 months.

    Hi! I'm planning to move to Honolulu from California in December, 2023. My dog has already passed the FAVN test, has been microchipped, and I have documentation of 2 Rabies vaccinations that are two years apart. The Hawaii Dept. of Agriculture and Quarantine Station informs me that I must wait a minimum of 120 days after results of the FAVN test have been received before I can transport my dog to Hawaii. This seems to conflict with your information of only a 30 day wait. Can you please clarify this discrepancy? Thank you.

    Hi Jordan and Erica- I just read this in the news and I thought you should know. Rapid response testing available at SFO! "United is the first U.S. airline to offer a Covid-19 testing program. Passengers booked from United’s San Francisco hub to Hawaii, one of its most popular destinations, will have that option starting Oct. 15, the airline said Thursday. The date is when Hawaii is scheduled to lift a two-week quarantine requirement on arriving travelers as long as they test negative for Covid-19 within 72 hours of their departure. Passengers will be responsible for payment. Firm pricing is still in the works but the tests will at first cost $250."
