I have the phev grey one (delivered last November) and the side stripes are just bunch of 3M vinyl. Was surprised only took two automatic car wash for it to get damage. Got it replaced with BMW's OEM part in February and I'm thinking just PPF wrap the doors to stop worrying about it. Just some FYI for any new Untamed Edition owner.

Is that real?? Can’t believe for that…my car will arrive on September and if the stripes are so poor to wash, can’t imagine…..

@@aloridea6044 I got my untamed mini last year and have had no problems but that is because I don't do auto washes. I go to a detailer because auto carwashes are basically sand paper to your car :)! Don't take your nice new babies to those things. I have had no issues with the stripes being power washed at all.

Things mini needs to address on their higher trim models
- 360 stitched camera system like there bmw counterparts
- normal HUD display ( not that cracking motorised panel
- self driving capabilities (land keep assist , cruse control and or more .. with over the air update option for more autonomy
- digital rear view mirror
- safety indicated warning system on there side view mirrors ( other manufacturers use that standard)
- more power , with active vents (no fake vents )
Lift system ( just for fun )
More customisable options ( mini was known for that )
-Quad exhaust cuz why not
- Apple car play /android auto … both wired and wireless option
- secret compartment (glove box)
