A classic! What I love most about Betty and Judy is that they DON’T fall into the typical tropes seen with sisters in the media. For instance, Judy *knows* that Betty is the more talented singer and, instead of being envious, actively encourages her to pursue that career. They also don’t fight over men and genuinely look out for one another throughout the whole movie. Truly, there were never such devoted sisters! ;p
Right! My Sisters took my Name out of my Parents Will. I won and they truly lost. Funny, they thought because our parents passed, that they were Dead? Like Jesus, they live on and they saw what they did or No what they tried to do! Sisters! But I love Betty & Judy! Watch this every year!
Rosemary says how fun the movie was - Vera was of course a superb dancer while Rosemary said she had two left feet, and Vera could not carry a tune to save her life so they really helped each other.
I have 4 sisters from ages 68 to 52 we still sing this song. To this day, every time I see a fan, no matter how tacky, I think of these gorgeous fans that gave such delight and dreams to 5 poor country girls from Wisconsin.
My sister Kathie and I had an "act" based on this. We would force all our kids to sit on the floor and watch us sing and dance to this....how lovely to happen across this, and the memory.
One of my fav songs in this film! Especially the version with Kaye and Crosby! Hilarious! You can see they were genuinely having fun during the filming. Just a awesome film all around. One of my top 5 favs of all time!
Love this movie. I think Vera doesn't actually sing but someone else. Count my blessings by Bing always makes me cry. Love to all this coming Christmas 🎄 season.
THIS WHOLE FILM IS JUST PERFECTION.. Its a tradition for me and my grandma before she passed away two years ago to watch this every Christmas without fail... And i still do
i still remember my grandma singing this with her sister at a family reunion nearly a decade ago never thought that christmas 2022 would be the last christmas i'd ever spend with her when i came back home from abroad (her sister passed before i left for abroad)
I love this movie. My wife got me into it. Now my daughter is in love with it and she loves tap dancing to it! I wish they would make more movies like these!
One of my favorite Christmas movies that they never play enough. And I've never seen a waist as small as Vera Ellen's. Also love Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep. The cast is AWESOME and so is the music!
White Christmas (1954) was on broadcast TV right before Christmas 1963. I was in the 2nd grade. A lot of kids such as myself must have seen this movie. In school, at class breaks and recesss, the cries of 'Sisters!/Sister!' came from the girls that were doing their impression of the Haynes Sisters from the movie. This is a contemporaneous memory of mine from that period in time. I like to think that even the Good Sisters of The IHM, teachers at our school, got some enjoyment from this phenomenon.
ICONS - LOVE THEM ALL IN WHITE CHRISTMAS - I USED TO WATCH THIS ICONIC CHRISTMAS MOVIE WITH MY ITALIAN NONNA AND MY MOM - SADLY THEY BOTH PASSED AWAY !!! - BUT I STILL WATCH IT - MY CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS - MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎅♥️🎄🎅♥️🎄🎅♥️🎄
There's something I've always wondered about this film. Vera Ellen was one of the youngest (and shortest-lived) Rockettes in history, getting the boot after only two weeks because she kicked higher than the other dancers and showed "too much individuality" on stage. Radio City is mentioned at least twice in the film (maybe three times), and this is, of course, a Christmas movie, so I almost wonder if her history with the Rockettes had something to do with her casting.
@@@lk9697 Read her bio. They claim she did not have an eating disorder but, Hollyweird has always tried to cover up all of the nasty negative things they thought would damage the bottom line in any film production. Go figure. Who has a 17" waist for cryin' out loud? I'm just quoting "the how small was vera ellen's waist".
Fun fact ..:: this wasn’t in your recommendations but you searched for it and you have a brilliant sense of Art..
That is scarily accurate my dude
That’s very accurate lol
That is correct 😌
It was in my recommendations
I saw Laura Benanti and Melissa Benoist singing it together and it sounded really good so I looked for the original
There will never make musicals like this ever again! I ❤️ musicals and so very blessed that I was born at the right time and lived to see them!

Always love to watch this movie every year ❤
They tried not to feature Judy singing very much as Vera-Ellen was dubbed and of course Danny, Bing, and Rosemary did their own singing.
I watch "White Christmas" every Christmas. It's tradition! LOL.
Absolutely! It's not Christmas without it! :)
Same here💖
It’s a tradition for me too of course it was forced on me..but now I like it
Same. Every Christmas with my daughter. Love this tradition
Me too
Rosemary Clooney's voice is timeless.
Agreed. I love her on Gene Autrys The Night Before Christmas.
The whole film is timeless. If it wasn’t it wouldn’t still be shown every Christmas.
Fun Fact: Rosemary Clooney was the youngest of the four stars of this film. She was 25 years old. Vera was 32, Danny was 40 and Bing was 51
Seventy8
Wow.. People those days really didn’t seem to lose their looks when they were older. Bing looked good for 51!
Robbing the cradle.
kai satou can make me eggs benedict I think they call it Lo-Def, the opposite of Hi-Def
Nice
Another, Fun Fact:
Rosemary’s voice was dubbed in for Vera.
Best Christmas Movie, ever.
imho
Rosemary says how fun the movie was - Vera was of course a superb dancer while Rosemary said she had two left feet, and Vera could not carry a tune to save her life so they really helped each other.
Just like real sisters ❤
These types of movies need to regain popularity
I would be game for that
No they dont
I have 4 sisters from ages 68 to 52 we still sing this song. To this day, every time I see a fan, no matter how tacky, I think of these gorgeous fans that gave such delight and dreams to 5 poor country girls from Wisconsin.
I have 4 sisters as well, from 14 to 24.
My sister Kathie and I had an "act" based on this. We would force all our kids to sit on the floor and watch us sing and dance to this....how lovely to happen across this, and the memory.
Aw that’s adorable
My sister Kathy and I also did this act in the 50,s and are reprising it on my 80th!!!!
One of my fav songs in this film! Especially the version with Kaye and Crosby! Hilarious! You can see they were genuinely having fun during the filming. Just a awesome film all around. One of my top 5 favs of all time!
Love these old videos. I’m a ‘54 baby, soo blessed to share another Christmas with my loved ones. God bless you all…. 🫶🙏
Love this movie. I think Vera doesn't actually sing but someone else. Count my blessings by Bing always makes me cry. Love to all this coming Christmas 🎄 season.
No, she was the only one of the main 4 that was dubbed.
On this song Rosie sang both parts. I am not sure about the rest of the numbers.
I have exactly the same reaction to "Count your Blessings", I also think Bing sounded absolutely incredible singing it.
Anita Ellis provided Vera-Ellen's singing voice.
@@jamesryan6008 I've always heard that Rosemary sang both parts.
THIS WHOLE FILM IS JUST PERFECTION.. Its a tradition for me and my grandma before she passed away two years ago to watch this every Christmas without fail... And i still do
If only we had movies like that today.
I would see them all over again. I do love big budget spectacle. But sometimes I need a break
i still remember my grandma singing this with her sister at a family reunion nearly a decade ago
never thought that christmas 2022 would be the last christmas i'd ever spend with her when i came back home from abroad (her sister passed before i left for abroad)
Still one of my favorites. I watch it every Christmas!! And Sometimes in May for no reason :)
I sing "sisters" in July while I barbecue for no reason. Just 'cause I like the movie!
I dont watch in may, or ever
My cousin would start singing this whenever my sister and I would fight as kids! I have a great appreciation for it now.
my aunties did that haha
My grandma was one of 6 sisters born in the 1930s. Always used to sing this around me as a kid "sisters, sisters" 😭😭😭
I love this movie. My wife got me into it. Now my daughter is in love with it and she loves tap dancing to it! I wish they would make more movies like these!
My Mom and my Aunt (Mom's sister) used to sing this😊😊...such beautiful memories ❤️❤️ (unfortunately they're both gone now) RIP Mom and Auntie 🙏🙏
This is such a cute scene! Love Vera-Ellen and Rosemary Clooney.
One of the classic movies of all time. This scene is wonderful, and when the guys do it....even better fantastic!

My 5 year old granddaughter loves this movie and has since she was 3. We have 3 generations that love this movie. Couldn't be more proud!
Who else is here not... because of Pretty Little Liars, but because your parents raised you on this movie?
+Rebekah Whitcomb Yay I'm not alone.
OMG yes!!!!! This movie is basically my childhood
I watched it every year like 3 times a year
raised on the movie but also love pll :)
+Rebekah Whitcomb I'm here because I watched it on Netflix
My favorite Christmas movie
"Happy Christmas, Little Friend" by Rosemary Clooney is one my favorite songs of the season. Thanks for posting this extra little "stocking stuffer"!
One of my favorite movies, and my sister and I sing this song all the time, so us!
White Christmas is a Christmas classic!!
THE KIND OF FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT THAT SIMPLY DOESNT EXIST ANYMORE.THE WORLD HAS CHANGED. BUT NOT FOR THE BETTER.
I remember grandma playing this movie at Christmas time. This became one of my fav musical songs. : )

One of my favorite Christmas movies that they never play enough. And I've never seen a waist as small as Vera Ellen's. Also love Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep. The cast is AWESOME and so is the music!
Such a great classic Christmas movie . I watch it every Christmas Eve
I use to sing this to my daughter, when she was a little girl, from then on we called her Sister...she's now 35. Loved this song
I’d love to go to a old style nightclub like this with a big band and see acts like this!

Love this show! Such a classic! Definitely one of my absolute favorites!
My favorite dance in the movie !!❤

one of my favorite christmas movies!
I'll always love these American treasures.
Racist anti - white
Jewww
It kills me to know I don't have a sister to ever sing this with
Make one of your own choosing. Go ahead. It's permitted. 😉
I’ll be your sister to sing this with! All we need is 2 beautiful blue fans and 2 blue dresses and we are ready to roll! 😊💙🦚
What I want now is to make my brothers sing this
I have a little step-sister called Elizabeth and she is 7 years younger than me so I hope that we can do this together one day!
I miss the days when this film, and the other classic Christmas films, would be broadcast over and over again on multiple stations during the season.
I am in love with Rosemary Clooney, her voice I am in love with her voice
Priceless!
Great movie. I bet they had SO much fun making it with that crazy Danny Kaye!!
My great-aunts and one great uncle always sing this at family retreat. :D And then, the other two great-uncles do the male version. Ah, memories.
Great Christmas Movie 💖
I love this movie!! Every song is awesome!!
Schöner Film sehr gute Schauspieler, und tolle Singstimme!❤

My favoritt holiday movie! ❤
I would have loved to go to one of the old supper clubs just once like this one.
George Clooney really inherited a lot of features from his aunt Rosemary
No way! Didn't know until now
I knooow! I always think of that! They look alot alike.
He inherited her vocals2, (fgot the films name), but.. boy can that guy sing.
Jela Boothe If you’re talking about O Brother Where Art Thou? He doesn’t sing in that movie. The singing was dubbed.
In what sense? They look nothing alike!
My sister and I sing this song together all the time.
mine wont
LOVE THIS !!!!😊😊
This song, heck, the whole movie makes me Missy sister. We used to sing it to each other. ❤🎉
my sister won't sing it with me
It's funny how everyone's sort of forgotten this classic...
its good
Vera’s waist is tiny my goodness
I think she had an eating disorder
They say that she wore high necks on dresses to cover up her wrinkly neck. No joke, apparently her eating disorder was that bad...
@@@lk9697 Read her bio. They claim she did not have an eating disorder but, Hollyweird has always tried to cover up all of the nasty negative things they thought would damage the bottom line in any film production. Go figure. Who has a 17" waist for cryin' out loud? I'm just quoting "the how small was vera ellen's waist".
she was struggling with anorexia. That's why she wore a high necked outfit in every single one of her scenes. Don't glorify anorexia.
@@betsygula1128 wow that’s crazy
I love this song
me and sister danced to this
ICONIC 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I don't remember how I ended up seeing this when I was younger but this song has always been one I randomly sing lol.
2 really good beautiful singers sisters 🤗
Love it!
One of my favorite parts in White Christmas
Sehr schöne lied und musik sehr einfach...😊😊❤❤
I love Danny Kaye.
He sings some good songs
ローズマリー・クルーニー、ヴェラ・エレン二人とも歌上手いし、ダンスも魅力的。
This film was my childhood
It’s 2023, and this song was used in a Walmart commercial.
Hopefully some one is getting paid.
And on SNL.
Amazing!!!
A 50 year-old earworm. I love it!!
Thank you arc angle Michael for the these ladies in this video from Melissa weatherbee 2023
