As a beginner rider, this video is very informational. I'm currently looking for bikes to get and the Rebel 500 seems to be the best, especially since I plan on daily riding my motorcycle to and from work, and was concerned how it would handle on the freeway (I've heard 500cc bikes struggle). This helps me solidify my decision! Definitely subbing!

35+ years ago in Las Vegas, I bought a used 1984 Honda CM450, chain driven, 6-speed overdrive that I roved from San Diego to Dixie National Forest in SW Utah, Death Valley to North Pole AZ. Put 10,000+ miles a year on that beast while I worked up in the Nevada Sierras 4 days out of every week. I had no problem keeping up with highway traffic on a smaller, older tech bike. What’s more important than having 2 or 3 times the engine size is proper ergonomics, developing skills, road strategy, situational awareness, and wearing good gear to cut dow on fatigue, so you’re not exhausted after an hour. For example, riding inndesert or hot conditions, don’t ride with bare skin or short sleeves. Pour cold water in your helmet liner , wear a wet bandana around your neck, dampen your shirt, and wear an armored mesh riding jacket so you don’t get sun baked, dehydrated and weak. Unlike this amateur.

hey, around the same height here, 2m tall, you will buy forward controls for more comfort for sure, but you can definitely drive it easily, the key points I can give after three weeks of riding are :
      - you won't ever drop it, considering we're tall af for a low seat and center of gravity
      - you'll quickly get the habit of adjusting your legs for a stop and takeoff, you won't ever have your legs going straight from your seat to the top, they'll always be either forward on the ground or cramped when at a stop
      - your right leg / foot will hate the stupid gearbox coming out of the frame, meaning that you can't properly grip the bike with your knees / legs, you'll get what I mean but you'll get adjusted to it
      - about the forward controls, I find it not comfortable to ride with cramped legs with the default pegs, you'll see yourself adjusting / changing the position of your feet to try and relax your knees / legs, better make sure you stop riding and do pauses from time to time
otherwise, my first bike for A2 as well, completely first driving license, and I never sat my ass on a motorcycle 4 months ago, it's perfectly beginneer friendly, has the power when needed, the exhaust isn't obnoxious but you'll get that good deep grunt at city speeds (50km/h and less) and cracks a little when hot, so pretty cool, us tall riders just need the forward controls
