Friends, I had this problem for many months and the solution was as simple as: Remove the CMOS battery and turn on the PC (without the battery), then put the battery while it is on, set the date and reboot. Comment how it goes, greetings from Chile.

Sir, this problem has been giving me the biggest headache for the past few days and I’m grateful but angry at how stupidly easy the fix was. Spent hours pouring over forums, people telling me to disassemble, switch processors, etc etc. Then i find a 50 second youtube video with a 0.5 second fix. Cheers to you

I had the same issue, I tried everything; I even replaced the CMOS battery form the motherboard. But Thankfully I fixed it because of an outdated Bios. I think everyone here has an Msi board witch mean that you guys can try and see on your Msi center to search on “live updates” and click on advanced. This will scan for any outdated Bios. I then installed it and it work. I no longer have the red led cpu d bug showing. Keep in mind that my system was able to boot and work just fine but had that annoying red light which concerned me. Hope this helps!

It worked for me! I have here a client PC with exactly the same issue with these specs:
    Intel Core i5-9400F
    MSI MAG B365M MORTAR motherboard
    2x8GB DDR4 RAM
    Sapphire RX580 4GB
    750w Corsair VTEX2 80+ Bronze
I can't believe that this trick really works. Is it because that the processor doesn't receive enough power at first if the PC's left plugged to the wall? It seems like the burst of power rushing in makes it work normally in an instant.
Thanks for this video man! I salute to you! I'm gonna advice to replace the power supply to a higher capacity or another brand.

Everytime i try to boot from the cold or dark state, it wouldn't post the first time, i would get all the fans and rgbs working as well as my external peripherals but no post. The only solution is to either reset or reboot the pc

Very similar issue. MSI B650 edge, Ryzen 7700, XFX Merc 7900xt, Corsair HX 850 PSU
I would get the red and orange cpu/dram lights - they would stay on and would not boot even after several minutes.
I just had to power off and retry. It would usually post after a 2nd or third restart and then it would run perfectly. I could run it all day, play games, video editing etc… and all was perfect. It was just having problems posting.
This started from a brand new build and it’s been happening for a few months. Unfortunately now it’s no longer posting at all no matter what I do.
I’ve swapped ram sticks, tried every slot with each stick, I’ve checked connections. Checked all the voltages from PSU with multimeter.
Removed GPU and Removed CPU & checked pins. Still won’t post

That's a good way to cause a short ciruit. If you're running into the same problem, particularily msi board + amd cpu: Make sure the RAM is really in the slot. Don't be shy, some RAM has to be pushed in really hard (Kingston Fury for instance). Also, ram sticks and the slots on the board need occasional cleaning, too. So, if such problems occur out of nowhere after who knows how long: Give your pc a deep cleaning. All the slots. All the corners. All the fans. Also, cooling paste. It needs replacement when all that's left is a slight discoloration.

And they it wasnt turning on. Just pushed it a but more and it clicked.

    • @CosimaNonymouse
      @CosimaNonymouse Год назад

@@emmanuelmorales7976 Most Boards now come with 4 memory slots. However, if you're only using 2 ram sticks, put them in 2 and 4, counting from the left. 2 is the primary slot so it should never be empty and also, ram heats up a bit so unless you're using 4 sticks, don't put them directly side by side.

    -Turn off and unplug power
    -remove all ram from slot
-Turn it on without the ram
-Ez debug light should switch to Ram now.
-Turn off and unplug power again.
    -Insert rams from slot.

If you have 1 stick you need to install it in the furthest slot from the processor
If you have 2 sticks, you need to install them in the slot farthest from the processor, leave the next slot empty, and insert another stick after it
The first initialization will take a very long time, about 5 minutes, don’t be afraid if the indicator of the wrong color lights up, just wait and maybe the computer will start

it's funny. I've encountered this type of fault (more like "covert fault") so many times as a technician and enthusiast, its impressive how often I completely forget that power supplies almost always die gradually. I stress test them under intense load so much I start expecting the "*sizzke-POP!*--blue smoke" type of psu death.
but its usually a minor internal component slowly drifting out of spec with degradation (age or poor electrical filtering etc)
eventually you get this this point of straddling the line between in-spec and out of spec. depending on any number of conditions, it could go on for hours-years. eventually, the psu wont work anymore. period. it may turn on, but the internal specs too far off correctly function. happens to new and old psu even.
👍nice vid. if only I could learn to type so efficiently 😂😂😂

So I noticed some weird things, when I leave the computer for maybe 6-8 hours it seems to work sometimes, but another weird thing is the led of my PC case, when I get the problem with cpu led on motherboard the led of the PC case doesn't turn on but when the computer is trying to work the led of the PC case turns on. I avoided the issue specifically by turning off my PC before going to sleep and leaving it off for 6-8 hours. Otherwise I changed my power supply from a Corsair 450W to an EVGA 850W. You could try a power supply upgrade to a non-corsair power supply brand or you can try updating the motherboard BIOS. Thing is that we haven't really found a specific solution or cause so that's about all I can say to help other than general PC troubleshooting like trying one RAM stick at a time, reseating the CPU/cooler, or trying another CPU altogether.

If On/off Button fix won't help then read this ...
    I had same issue ,
My fix is to Check Cables and change slot (Very Important to change pcie or Peripheral 6 pin slots on psu),
    After changing the slots ,
Check Cpu Cable and plug it back on Psu and Mobo,
Then lastly Do not plug Cpu cable in Pcie /Cpu only Plut it near AtX 12 pin connector cable slot.
Unplug all unnecessary gpus and items ...
Just plug OS drive and one Video output (Via Vga or Gpu). Then give it 3-5 mins ... Eventually Cpu Light go off by itself and Shift to Vga , Dram, or Boot light.
(It will 3-5 times show Cpu red light after booting successful and rebooting).
    Cpu Light means
1.( either one cable or Gpu is not plugged correctly (Via Pcie Splitter or Splitter usd ) in for miners case only***
2). If your machine is throwing same issue after some successful without any touch .. means 3-5 mins verification will take place.

I took out RAM and blew out, connected the cooler backlight, which I turned off after dust cleaning (it's nonsense, but I was thinking that the cooler without backlight does not work at full speed). I didn't realize what the problem was and what exactly was the solution, but after blowing out the RAM and plugging the cooler light back in, everything worked. I also clicked the power button on my Chieftec A-80 Series 750W several times and the computer booted up, but froze at some point when the MSI logo appeared. The computer works now, but I don't know what the solution to the problem was.
Thinking back, and the build was two years ago, this problem has occurred 3-5 times since the beginning of 2002, and only once in the past have I noticed the indicators when I moved the computer by mail to Germany and reassembled it. Then I thought I had bent the contacts and straightened them out. But this is not accurate, as the bending did not exceed 0.5 millimeters. After reassembly everything went away, and yesterday I again faced the problem of CPU and RAM indicators. I'll keep watching.
Sometimes I also had the problem that my screen would not show a picture when booting up, but that was maybe 10 times when I unplugged my Wacom tablet and reinstalled the drivers, maybe that had an effect.

Guys, I wrote a touch that I did the same thing and when it worked, I disconnected all the wires to the motherboard and the problem of the bulb was not solved. Orphans, there is no problem. The subject has tired me out.

For 3 years my PC gave no problems. Now suddenly this issue of CPU debug light coming on at random times has come up. Only way its fixable is switching off and on the power rapidly. No idea why this problem has come up suddenly. Yes Corsair PSU here too.

Also mein Problem war mein RAM. Ein RAM war nicht ganz eingerastet, wodurch der CPU Fehler angezeigt worden ist. Probiert das auch noch aus, falls nicht schon getan.

I got this problem after putting together all the parts and even installing Windows. Imagine my surprise! I just finished installing the drivers from manufacture dvd and after the restart it just died. Tried everything, from reseting CMOS and removing RAM and also 100x this method in the video above, but with no luck. I then updated my bios to the latest version and reinstalled Windows. Now it runs with no problem. Might be some I/O bug i guess.

How are you able to update bios if you don't have displays?
